We had an amazing stay at Zan View Hotel ! Everything was perfect. The staff is always there to help you, whatever you need. The hotel handles everything for you and organises every excursion you want to make. Would highly recommend !

My family of 3 incl. our 3months old baby had a wonderful stay at Zan View Hotel. We stayed almost 2 weeks and it was a really pleasant stay. After this 2 weeks we felt like part of the Zan View family. Everyone was so nice to us. Our baby was also loved by everyone and we were asked everyday if we need anything for the baby. We have been to several Hotels before but Zan View was by far one of the best!! Not only is the Hotel super beautiful and comfortable, it gives you that feeling of being home! And I think this is the most important thing when travelling, that the place where you stay gives you the feeling of home. Ofc Zan View also has amazing features, such as, it’s very close to the beach, you can literally see the beach from the hotel, you also have a private pool ( which is so nice when you are with smaller kids) and the bar service is amazing too. Every evening you can enjoy the Happy Hour and the meal is also very affordable and tasty too!! Before I forgot, every time we were at the beach with our friends, we all got free fresh juice from the Hotel! What a kind gesture. Honestly, am a very critical person but at this point I can only give 5/5 stars to this hotel and its management. Vincent and Anas, you are doing well! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and it was just wonderful. Its a great place to stay, we could not have asked anything more. The room was beautiful and impeccably clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly and supportive, the facilities were great.We would love to return soon.

This 3 star hotel tucked away past the local village is initially a shock to the system as you drive past the local shacks.on reaching the hotel its amazing not a 5 star hotel but the staff and service was better then 5 star.the swimming beach in front of hotel is amazing.abdul and his brother drove us around at a very reasonable rate.monica at reception was sweet and very welcoming she even fixed my sandles twice at no charge.Beam and nora were so good at the reztaurant.i will definately go there again

First of all, I want to thank the staff at Zan View Hotel, for outstanding service and professionalism.Especially the food is very tasty. We tried a few other restaurants near by but it was not the same quality.This hotel is having a very home feeling and we always felt like being taken care of in every aspects.We were staying in the family room, no 6, it is a very comfortable and spacey room with furnitures made of coconut wood. The property was like new, and we heard that the owners had renovated recently.To get to the beach you have to walk through the local village, and people here are very friendly. In the nearby resorts, the tourist definately dont get the same African experience as we did here at Zan View.Thanks a lot for making our holiday a succes. We will be back soon.

BOOM! What a stay! Best price/quality stay in this area🏝Check in was excellent, Rune (the manager) was clear and gave an extensive tour on arrival. Staff helped with my heavy suitcases and the welcome drink was delicious! Rooms are spacious and very convenient, and the shower..best one on Zanzibar to be honest!Ate everyday in the restaurant, the breakfast is very broad and tasteful. Every day another fresh juice and they dont mind if you want to have something extra. They walk the extra mile for you in this place!Dishes are good and the service excellent!The beach is 100m away, and you arrive on the best place of the beach.I really recommend this for everyone, specially families have a great time here. The combination of having the pool and the beach is priceless, further they are busy with their beachbar and private beach!I would like to thank Rune and Jacob for my stay, it felt safe, welcoming and authentic! Definitely come back in the future!

Small charming hotel on the east coast of Zanzibar. The hotel is on top of a slope, with a small village below. 2 minutes walk down and through the village and you are standing on the most beautiful tropical sandy beach where an early morning can experience the most amazing sunrise while swim in the ocean. The staff is friendly and welcoming and does a great job to make your stay at the hotel the unforgettable vacation you always dream about. The rooms are large, bright and stylish but relaxed. The menu and wine list are top notch, the food is amazing. Can only recommend the hotel highly.

We booked via Airbnb.+ Really nice spacious rooms.+ Minibar at the rooms, nice for cooling water etc.+ Small establishment. Cosy feeling.+ Pool area+ Possibilities to watch premier league+ They provided two bottles of water each day for free. Much appreciated.+ We had lovely flower arrangements every day at our bed!- This is a hotel. It is not a typical Airbnb stay. Check prices on hotels/booking/etc before you book. Don’t expect home stay.- WiFi, worked spontaneously.- Breakfast, not a buffet. Nothing to put on the toasts. After four days we’re kind of fed up on toast with just butter.- Prices in the restaurant. We stayed four nights/days. We’ve done the same stops at three different hotels at Zanzibar with similar standards. The prices are high in comparison to the other two. We had lunch on a expensive resort on Kiwengwa beach two times. That was cheaper than Zan Views restaurant.- They charge 6% on credit card payments. Come on, it’s 2018. Include it in the price!Overall a good stay. It was ok but for a recommendation from us they need to improve on some things.

We had booked a sea view room with balconey.We arrived late on friday night and we were disgusted to say the least. I asked the manager on duty where is the sea view?He replied cant you see it?What a joke our view looked onto zinc roofes and the ugly entry gate with a sleeping gaurd.The windows are covered with chicken wire so its like a jail.The toilet is unhygienic with the most disgusting smell because it has no extraction fan..They refill the soap bottles there is no proper soap etc.The toilet seat was loose... EtcThe bed is very small with a foam mattress.We had to sleep Diagonal..There is no television no cupboard space no chairs to sit.. Boring..The restaurant and prices is a total rip off with small portions.They were out of stock of calimari and then there was no ice..The breakfast is mean and extra charges for english and oats etc.. Portions very small..There is no coffee tea in the room..No room service disgusting.The access to the beach is through a squater camp very unpleasant and unsafe.The beach was nice but the hotel is off center with ugly views of unfinished developments..I refused to stay here demanded a refund which was done and relocated to Zanzibaar beach resort in town.I also found the north and east coast lack centrality they are 2 hours away from stone city the airport shops etc..But I suppose it depends on preference.I would not recomed this hotel and for this price you can do much beter..

At the restaurant, the food is tasty but the service is awful. We asked multiple times for things they never brought, like silverware and side plates. I fetched napkins for the table, since the server didnt bring them. It took ages for simple drinks to arrive. Everything was way too slow.

Our room was booked 6 months & paid 1 month before scheduled stay. Upon arrival we were informed by the owner that our room was not available because we had not re-confirmed our booking. He said he had asked Agoda to inform us but they didnt and that was their fault. When Agoda questioned the reasons of his behaviour he told them that there were pipe problems with our room and had to relocate us to a his friends property. Same excuses to our friends with their room. Lies to us, lies to them.Apparently this is a common practice of his, he is doing overbooking, sells the room to the highest offer and blackmails the other customers to accept his take-it-or-leave-it kind offer to arrange their accommodation with his friends empty rooms (for their mutual benefit) or else, theyll find themselves searching for a room by their own. The above was also confirmed by Agoda in their correspondence with us.If someone is in doubt about it, let he/she check the advertised prices at Agoda. Why are they so significantly lower than at the other providers? The answer is simple: Because the customers are not going to stay there but somewhere else!So, dear reader, dont bother stay or eat with them, too, their restaurant serves very average food, small portions at high european prices (even Hilton is cheaper!).

Good food, great service and affordably priced. Definitely not a full blown resort like the establishments up and down the beach but thats part of its appeal. Well run overall.

This place is worth to visit if nearby. Staff and views are nice. Service is above average and staff is helpful to make decision. If you look something authentic you wont be disappointed, when coming here. It is easy to have a quick bite if youre hungry. In case of limited availability nearby stalls will deliver if needed.

Zan View is an amazing hotel. The manager Mr. Sarge is a gem of a person. Friendly, accomodating and helpful. At the restaurant Tukae is the person to look for. Thanks Zan View we had an Awesome holiday.

Thats it, its over .. thats it, its back to France after more than 10 days spent in Zanzibar and at the Zan View Hotel!Hotel on a human scale just a stones throw from the beach, the staff is exceptional and takes care of everyone. What a joy not to have gone to a factory resort!The hotel has a bar restaurant with swimming pool as well as a second bar / restaurant on the waterfront by the sea 😍We thank the whole team as well as the managers who gave us wonderful evenings, excursions and games!! We will be going back next year with our little boy.

The location is very nice, the rooms are simply furnished and always clean. The breakfast buffet is fresh and delicious, but without much variety. The food was good, but the waiting times were rather long.The employees were friendly and helpful - you can still work on the motivation.😊

I spent a short stay (3 nights) and we feel that the new team is very motivated (there has been a change of owner this year). The path and the entrance to the hotel are pretty bland at the moment, but the facilities are impeccable. The staff are very pleasant and listen to the customer. There is a restaurant in the hotel and another on the beach with deckchairs which is a plus to vary the pleasures. The wifi is available throughout the hotel and works very well, the rooms have air conditioning and exits can be offered to you with the hotel taxi driver.

We went to the hotel for lunch. Beer for $ 3.5, Zanzibar curry for $ 12.5. High prices for three rubles away from the sea. But the food is delicious. The restaurant itself is cozy and clean.

Rested in the month of June with friends, the hotel and the staff exceeded all my expectations, the very kind and helpful staff, the cook surprised every day with new tasty and exotic dishes without any comments.
