Is it really necessary to have 20 guards on the beach stopping the public from walking within 10m during New Year fiesta? This is a public beach and a community spirited hotel shouldn’t need guards ! Madness as there were not many people anyway. Spoiled what would be a fun community event

It has all you need and exceeded our expectations. The place is perfectly situated on a very clean beach. The staff is exemplary, incredibly nice and professional.Rooms are clean and are located under the palmtrees. Everynight a show- dance and acrobatics, really cool.We are totally relaxed and will be returning happy and satisfied. We will certainly be back!!

Our stay at Kiwengwa Beach Resort was simply amazing. We spent 7 luxurious nights there. The staff were very accomodating, the location, beach, food and service was excellent. Stella from reception was very welcoming and friendly. The setting and ambience of the hotel is superb. We awoke to beautiful sunrises surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of all the morning birds. My children especially loved sighting the lizards and other hidden animals. The food was out of this world! The themed buffet nights and the bbqs were fantastic. We especially loved the Egyption night. The staff were dressed the part and the live Egyptian band was superb. The room was bright, beautiful and clean. We enjoyed winding down our evenings by having a shisha outdoors while enjoying views of the pristine white beaches.

One of the most beautiful resort in the island.We enjoy the best room on the hotel, honeymoon with ocean view. Every morning have the pleasure to enjoy the sunrise it was amazing, the sound of the ocean , and of the reef i the night.Not far away there is mnemba island, a real paradise to visit and enjoy.The personal and manager are very nice and helpful. Every kind of problem are solved as fast as possible. The room are cleaned every day , and the all inclusive offer opportunity during the day to join fresh food, soft drinks, or alkohol drinks. But not all drinks are included in the offer,a minus.Internet.Near the swimming pool there is a area where you can enjoy free internet.But if you want in the room you have to buy the access for every person and for every phone or pc. So be ready also for it.Breakfast, Lunch and dinner offer different dishes for everyone. Vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish, fruits, sweets.During thw week hotel organize dinner with theme, (BBQ, ITALIAN, ORIENTAL, EGIPTIAN, AFRICAN).Mostly for breakfast and lunch you enjoy alway the same food , so after few days can make u tired.Ocean, beautiful, beach cleaned every morning, when the sea goes far away because of the tide, you can enjoy the swimming pool of you are with kids like me, or you can have a amazibg walk on the beach and enjoy small sand island and take amazing picture!

The Kiwengwa staff was full of warmth and kindness. They are always willing to assist. My husband and I had a great stay.

It’s a beautiful resort but way overpriced. Management here needs to seriously relook at their process and management of this place. The WiFi was extremely poor and you can only connect one device to the WiFi - shocking.But what really was shocking is that they make the hotel porters stand for hours on end - the whole day. This was really sad to see.

I loved staying at this resort, super friendly staff , the view, the variety of food and don’t get me started on the spa, I’ll def visit again.

If you are looking for an all-inclusive place that is affordable, this is THE PLACE, there are many resorts on zanzibar island but they are either very expensive or not very clean. Voi Kiwengwa is managed by italians, i definitely recommend this place, and the beach at this place is way more attractive than other resorts, having palm trees all over, you wont be disappointed 😉

Beautiful resort! Great location, rooms and amenities.The staff are super helpful and friendly. Stella (guest relations manager) and Zuhuru especially have been such a great help throughout our stay at the resort.

The worst experience we have ever had!- rooms with dump causing very bad smell and difficulties to breath- gym with broken machines- very low quality of food / unnatural drinks and cocktailsAfter one day decided to leave, asked to cancel remaining days and refund, which we have not received despite mutual agreement with the property management.

Beautiful place, love it Ill return soon. I didnt like the food it was harder to find something to eat. Staff was lovely. Beach wonderful. I recommending to heve a masage there.

Very good , everything available, even Internet was free ( opposite from what we seen from various comments). we received a bottle of wine as welcome gift and Harry was there to guide us and adress any issue... i strongly recommend

I really was let down with this hotel.. saw several positive reviews, but unfortunately, I was mislead. Apart from the friendly staff, this resort is not good.. food option was very poor, both swimming pools were not clean. I wouldn’t recommend this resort !

Hotel is owned by a Tour Operator, they created an environment to force clients to book everything with them, and dislike when clients book with another Tour company.There is no parking space, they will not let anyother company inside to pickup there client or wait them at the reception area. They will ask a Tour operator so many questions.Guests need freedom to book with anyone that they want to. Avoid this hotel, it not worth it as they are many best options available.

Kiwangwa beach resort is one of the best resort in the world, they literally blow my mind🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️. Their customer service is top notch, incredible environment with eco friendly activities, Stella is their guest relation officer and she’s super amazing, checking up on you regularly to provide maximum comfort, Zahura and Fabian are amazing at the reception and Mary at the bar is such an awesome person, she teach me their local language any time I’m at the bar.. thanks to everyone at kiwangwa beach resort for this amazing time

From fish only tuna 2d day, no sea food at all. Diner options is poor compare to the price we payed. Now, end of October a lot of sea weed in the the water. Nice, clean, big territory. WiFi in the room for extra fee, on the reception it is available for free. Be honest I have no idea how hotel have 9/10 on booking. No even hot water in the room (already 2d day)

Service was excellent and staff friendly. I was here for an afternoon. Internet best we have found so far in Zanzibar. Pretty strange i.e. not great) singer belting it out at an ear splitting volume for an hour at one point wasnt exactly ideal! Bit of a classic all inclusive vibe. If thats your thing Im sure youll love it.

Very nice resort. It is well taken care of. Very clean. Everybody is really nice ( a little bit too much for my taste). All inclusive has correct food. Pools is very clean. Normal rooms are ok. Suites are quite nice. Alcohol from the all inclusive is ,as in most of the places I know of , the cheapest possible at not good. Calme ressort with lots of families. If you want to party this is not the best place. Some rooms have ocean view. The hotel has part of the beach which is clean and you want be bothered my the beach boys or the Masai if you dont want to be.

Luxury hotel with amazing, very beautiful nature and delicious dishes. Polite staff and funny, full of people, especially maasai, beach.

What is not to like about Zanzibar? The people are friendly, helpful and speak English. The resort is clean and well maintained. The gardens is beautiful, especially at night when green and blue lights highlight certain paths. The rooms all have air conditioners and mosquito nets. Breakfast is a full english breakfast. Dinner have a number of dishes you can select from buffet style. The best part of both is the fruit. The fruit is tasty and absolute delicious. Be sure to use the guys with the turquoise t-shirts on the beach to arrange snorkeling, their prices is great, and you support locals.

Terrible polyester bed linen in 5* hotel!! Maintenance issues r very common here.some rooms got unpleasant odour due to fungi. Beach is not being cleaned from seagrass. However entertainment is good, staff is friendly and helpful and food is getting far better compared to the past in this hotel.Beach boys persistant on the hotel beach, however it wont bother your privacy as security is monitoring resort 24/7.

Nice atmosphere, you can pay dollar and shyling. Rather expensive but ok if you just want to go once. There are cute places to sit where gou have a bit of privacy.

Beautiful place if you’re looking for a straight up resort. Good food, events scheduled all day throughout the day for guests (if you’re into that). We just needed a place to relax so it was perfect for that. However, it feels more like you’re in Europe rather than Africa. 90s ballots and Bryan Adams playing on the speakers on repeat. We were eager to leave. I would still recommend this especially for people with kids - we’re just not resort type people.

For zanzibar its good for the price. Great clean pools, nice cool rooms, dinner was good especially the BBQ. Friendly personnel except for one of the Egyptian managers who didnt seem motivated to help us at all when we wanted to extend our stay, and actually forgot about it - nevermind, we already booked via booking.com ourselves anyway. Gym was ok, free tennis was nice and Kiwengwa beach is beautiful, especially good for walks during low tide.

This is great place and wonderfull resort. They have awesome staff, facility of resort and rooms are excelent. Also breakfast and dinner provided by resort is tasty.There is a lot of beach boys, so if you want to go to ocean, or have a walk.... could be a little bit annoying - but this is zanzibar, just be prepare for that :)

This is nice place. With tasty food and smiled people. The only thing that we were disappointed a bit is the ocean, that was available not all the time because of low tide.But it is actual for all the hotels except Noth and noth-west of the island.The place of the hotel is good as it is near the village and few small shops and there are a lot of trees, bushes, flowers in the hotel and around. It was completely safety to walk even in the late evening outside of the hotel. And local people are friendly and saying you jambo :) Unfortunately only some of them knows even English.We liked the trip very much!

The Kiwengwa Beach Resort was the first resort in Kiwengwa, thats the reason why it preserves the idea of the local architecture. Recently restructured has a development in half circle reserving in this way a wide part of the Beach for its customers. The services are perfects, the staff is customer oriented, the pools always clean. The restaurant offers a buffet service or a la carte menu and the chef Antonio always adds his wonderful Italian touch to the foods. Life in Kiwengwa flows slowly but the animation staff succeed in gently involving customers in several activities and, in the evening, they always organize funny shows or dancing events leaded by a gorgeous DJ. The least but not the last Kiwengwa Beach is opened to external customers who can benefit of its wonderful services paying a right price. I think this is the best marketing they could do. Undoubtedly the Kiwengwa Beach Resort is best place to have holidays in Kiwengwa.

The rooms I got.had a view to the beach - a big plus.. the staff and the service however is just o.k... dont expect the food.to be a 5 star restaurant... Its also just edible and fine... But well... We didnt came to enjoy the hotel but just enjoy a tropical vacation ;) Im adding a picture of the view... Enjoy
