The food was amazing, high quality and always looked delicious.The resort is great, the pool is absolutely stunning (you feel like you are in the south seas) and you can find lots of palmtrees and a great view over the ocean. The perfect spot for sunrise.The stuff is helpful, very nice and friendly and they do their best to make your stay unforgettable.The room is quite new and you have everything you need. A large comfortable bed and a nice bathroom.We really loved it here and we will definitely come back.

This is a hidden gem on the east coast, the rooms are BEAUTIFULLY set up! And the view from the room is a breath of fresh air. The pool area is super nice as well, this is the perfect hotel for you to relax and disconnect. The staff are super friendly and helpful as well.It would’ve been a great if the toilet had a bidet sprayer.

Where to start? Natural, beautiful and unique. The views are just outstanding, the nature and the decorations are breathtaking, the stuff is the most friendly, helpful, reliable and efficient. We had the Infinity room with private pool and it was just incredible to wake up everyday with this view. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, you can expect to see some insects time to time due to the climate and the nature around.The infinity pool isnt too big but extremely pleasant and beautiful, perfect spot for a photoshoot. Food is tasty and the evening menu changes every night, lunch and breakfast is a much shorter offer but equally tasty.This hotel is a hidden jewel, with no many and well isolated rooms you get the perfect combination of a very intimate but familiar feeling. You get the daily feeling of being in paradise, I totally adored every effort they make to have this special place.

We enjoyed the ocean front room for 4 days...stunning view, like the description. Your garden is really in front of the ocean, WOW!! The swimming pool is also amazing.Unfortunately some negative points...first the A/C was really weak, then its better if your not too demanding with the finishing touches and details (for example the toilet door broken and not closing, or a lot of rust in the shower...).Also the restaurant is clearly overpriced, the quantity doesnt fit at all the prices. The food is allright, but youll stil be hungry after diner.Finally, some of the staff is really friendly, others much less...and the manager is professional and nice.So a lot to improve I think, even if its the best view I ever had in a hotel :)

Spent almost 3 weeks here with my girlfriend in November/December. Absolutely amazing place with stunning views. You get the feeling of being in paradise. Staff have been incredibly friendly and helpful with every request we had, and they treated us extremely well. We loved the food, even though the menus were a bit limited and portions faily small. Be prepared for some small creatures to appear in your bungalow, but they are faily harmless. Housekeeping twice a day where they also inspect everything. Memorable!

We finally found paradise after visiting a handful of hotels on the East coast. Run by two incredibly kind South Africans, Zanbluu has panoramic views, the best food we tasted in Zanzibar and stylish interiors. From the rooms to the pool to the cocktails (try the gin & spice), this place is the money.

A beautiful lovely place with a unique charm. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the view from the restaurant is superb.Negatives: I had informed the reception of my arrival time (it was late) but they did not seem to be informed. We also had to carry our own luggage in the rooms.The bathroom water was salty and hot water didnt last long.The WiFi was quite slow and there werent many guests so when busy it could be even slower I imagine.The food was average and small in portion.There isnt a beach during high tide but I knew that before and didnt mind it. They do have free shuttle service to a beach arena though.Nevertheless it was a beautiful hotel and would recommend it to others.

This resort is absolutely stunning!The staff and manager are very friendly, nice, and show relentless service standards.The location is a bit remote, a drive to the airport will take about 45-60 minutes depending on traffic (no different than any other resort in zanzibar). The pool area is very relaxing. the beach is accessible, but not the best and most inviting beach in zanzibar (very much affected by tide changes). The food is good with notable variety. Cocktails are very good.I would not recommend taking any of the tours offered by the hotel, because they are heavily placed compared to others of the same nature.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples because its very romantic. Zanbluu is one of my favourite spots on Zanzibar! They have an incredible infinity pool with a beach bar and plenty of space to have a nap on a hammock or top up your tan. I had the pleasure of having a massage with Susan - WOW! And their food ❤️ Our most recent meal started with a delicious mango octopus salad, followed by the most insane sesame tuna, cooked to perfection, with a surprise mushroom risotto on the side. The meal was perfectly finished off with a delectable white and dark chocolate mousse/fondue 😍 always served with a smile and the manager Martin will ensure you have the best possible experience. Very nice and well-kept area. The pool is just awesome! Ive never seen a pool that makes me feel like Im in the South Pacific. Really very special. The loungers by the pool were very comfortable. There are also swings and a hammock.The complex doesnt have that many bungalows, but it is still quite spacious. That means that every guest has enough space and it doesnt get too crowded. I found that very pleasant.The restaurant is fresh and of high quality. The food tastes really fantastic and the breakfast is also very nicely presented, plentiful and you can order as much a la carte as you want.The sea view from the pool or the restaurant is great.The rooms are very large, bright, modern and very nicely furnished. Here you really have everything you need. Very tasteful and clean. In general, the entire facility is very nicely designed. Various excursions are offered at reception and you can walk to Kiwengwa from the beach at low tide.The staff is very friendly and tried hard!We really enjoyed our stay at the Zanbluu and would come back anytime. Everything was very relaxed and the location was pleasantly quiet. Price / performance ratio definitely fits.

We spent 15 very relaxing and exotic days. The view wherever you are is magnificent. We had a room facing the sea. The view when we woke up enchanted us every morning. The beach is at the foot of the hotel. The pool is beautiful, the deckchairs are comfortable, the barman by the pool has made some great cocktails for us. We were on half board and the chef delighted us. All the staff took care of us. Really I recommend. Thanks to Martin and Lynn and all their really great team.

The hotel is super beautiful and romantic, tastefully decorated and all floors are very well maintained, the rooms facing the sea are wonderful, good shower. The best pool with beach sand seems that you are in the sea, top beach bar. As for the restaurant, quality food and very tasty. We have been 5 days and we have not left the hotel!

Very beautiful hotel but I do not recommend it for the following reasons: beach and sea inaccessible because bcp too many rocks and sea not very beautiful. The staff apart from 3 people (Charles, Sopay and Hosea) are not welcoming at all even unpleasant for some (s), food really not incredible but very expensive. Very noisy and poorly soundproofed room. What we liked were the cocktails and the beautiful pool and also the super nice manager.

We stayed 5 nights at the Zanbluu. The jovial staff are particularly kind and available. However, I will note several black points relating to the comfort of the hotel:- the dilapidated nature of the rooms which, despite their large surface area, lack armchairs, for example, to relax,- The furniture is very spartan,- The very basic shower area with a rusty shower head.- The sun loungers on the terrace with dirty canvases.All this deserves a good renovation ......Regarding the location of the hotel complex with the incomparable and breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean, we were in a very quiet environment but far from all amenities and attractive places (hotel chosen by our TO).

We start by saying that the hotel is beautiful. We took the infinity room and the truth is that it is incredibly nice to get up and see the sea from the bed. The common areas are beautiful and you can also see the changes in the tide.The workers are super friendly from the owner who is charming to the last of the workers. They even prepare you for bed at dinner time so that when you arrive the curtains are up, the mosquito nets and the bed are open.The food is very good, at no time have we left anything on the plate and it is not for small portions.Without a doubt, the hotel was a total success and if we returned to the area we would certainly repeat.

Heaven on earth 😍We stayed 4 nights at Zanbluu end of August-beginning of September 2021. The hotel is really splendid, a haven of peace. The view of the pool and the sea when you have your meal is so calming. The pool is amazing and always very clean.The breakfast and meals are very good. It is not served as a buffet like in many hotels, but to order.If you read my comment I advise you to take half board because in the evening it is dark very early and there is not much to do in this part of the region after dark so you might as well eat a good meal at the hotel and leave to discover the island in the morning 🤩. We had a very spacious double room with WC in the bathroom but a completely closed door for the WC so very practical.In the room there is a mini fridge, a big chair for 1 suitcase too bad there arent 2 because sometimes there can be animals so we would have preferred to put our suitcases high up but thats only a detail. There are open cupboards and a few hangers to put your clothes on. The bed is very comfortable and spacious. The housekeeping staff comes every evening to put mosquito repellent on the mosquito nets but quite honestly we had no mosquitoes (the body mosquito repellent remained in the suitcase). They also come every morning of course.Small negative point one morning when it rained heavily, the water passed through the roof and came to our room, luckily we were there to remove our belongings so that it did not take in water. But nothing dramatic because it hardly ever rains.The welcome on our arrival and throughout our stay was truly exemplary. Everyone is really smiling, pleasant and kind. The Maasai who work at the hotel bring an additional charm of change of scenery to the stay.Having been in another club hotel on the Nungwi side afterwards, I can tell you that we were already sad to leave Zanbluu but above all we regretted it a lot because the hotel really has a lot of charm and it is cozy and not a big tourist club like those that we could see after. So honeymoon or trip with friends I recommend it with your eyes closed 🙈If you book this hotel do not be afraid when arriving the hard way to go all the ways to the hotels are made that way and believe me for being picked up from friends in other hotels this one is nothing. We spent a week in this hotel in March 2021. Despite the fact that we visited many places, traveled around the island and were on different beaches, if I had to come to Zanzibar again, I would return here without hesitation.We were satisfied with absolutely everything. Very, very nice hotel, the rooms are individual houses with a thatched roof that gives it a special charm. Very good cleaning. Beach views, spectacular pool. The staff is very friendly and attentive at all times, I have read comments that they speak Spanish, only the guy at the reception can say a few words. In the restaurant you eat very well, very rich food and a variety of dishes. I do not put 5 stars because it is very far from anywhere and if you want to leave the hotel, either you go along the beach (when the tide is low) or you ask for a taxi. In addition, in the last 3 nights of our stay, a large group of tourists arrived (with a boy who is supposed to have a TV program as we heard), which made the others not take us into account in the restaurant, they took a long time in Bring the plates and they forgot the desserts, the drink and a breakfast dish, although I dont think it is the fault of the workers but of the hotel management, who gave priority to the large group.

I stayed there for 1 week during my stay in Zanzibar, Suite sea view with a king size bed, top comfort. I did not like the bathroom because the shower in the room so lack of privacy and no door or curtain its a shame I was not comfortable with that. Lots of lizards around and in the room. Otherwise the staff is top notch, half board, excellent food really worthy of a good restaurant. The breakfast lacks a bit of choice. The superb pool, the cleanliness of the place nothing to say. And the staff at the service of anything we can ask them. All in all a great experience. I recommend you.

The resort is very beautiful, each room being a cottage, with all amenities included. The staff is very friendly and speaks English to a medium to advanced level. The room is clean and the cleaning service is prompt. The food served in the complex is decent, the fish is not very bright, being cooked either too much or too little. On some evenings, performances were organized with various local artists, who promoted African culture. The Wifi signal is very good in the room. Unfortunately the only downside would be the position relative to the ocean, in the sense that you can not enjoy too much a swim in the ocean, either because it is ebb or flow when the water is full of algae and too close to the coast, which is rocky. Instead, the complex has a swimming pool that compensates for the lack of access to the beach.

Already the first minutes in Zanbluu convinced us that we chose well. Very nice service, hassle-free check-in. We were greeted by a welcome drink in the form of delicious, freshly squeezed juice. As we arrived in the morning they asked us immediately if we had breakfast. We did not even count on the fact that we can already use the meal, because in the previous hotels, despite the morning check-in, we were not entitled to breakfast. So we were very pleasantly surprised when we got a rich breakfast card from which we could choose what we wanted and how much we wanted (for comparison, at the Belveder Hotel in Jambiani there was only one toast for breakfast). The food was simply delicious and each day started with a fruit plate. The hotel is beautiful, very carefully designed, everything was consistent and matched, even the trash can :) I liked the hotel arrangement, swings, couches, lots of flowers, that we changed our plans and started the previously arranged wedding session in the hotel - no problem we got approval from the owners and manager. The house we stayed in was wonderful, overlooking the sea, with a piece of private beach and a swimming pool with them. Perfect, provided privacy, and that was what we wanted on our honeymoon. Rooms cleaned daily (at the time we had breakfast), beach and bathroom towels changed every day. Equipped with very good quality cosmetics, hair dryer, TV, air conditioning. In the evening the staff sprayed mosquito spray. Everything just perfect! A dream stay. If we ever come back to Zanzibar, we will definitely stay in Zanbluu again.

It is a lovely place, a spectacular pool overlooking the beach, very good food. The management of the site leaves much to be desired, in a triple room there was no mosquito net in the single bed, towels were missing, being an all inclusive there were days when the open bar was sold out, and the service of the employees too slow. I advise looking at other hotels before.

The service is very good and attentive, the facilities very nice and beautiful. We add the food that they give you there is very good as well as very well presented. The views of a virgin beach that you can download give an extra charm. But I preferred to sunbathe in the hotel facilities rather than on the beach, its sand was somewhat muddy.

Idyllic place for couples in a wonderful location. However it has quite a few flaws. The bathroom is totally lacking in privacy, we had to put a towel to avoid seeing the shower from the bedroom and the toilet room is also not completely closed so you can hear your needs.The hotel management was hardly interested in our problems and instead of improving our experience, they avoided us. A girl in the group has food allergies that were not taken into account even after being previously informed. The service of the waiters can be desperate and it can take several hours to eat. Very attentive and friendly staff. The rooms are perfect for resting. An ideal hotel to spend a couple of days with. Do not miss out on the other side of the island, where there are the most beautiful beaches. When we went there, it was already low season, and we could not bathe our tides in the hotel area but the pool is very tight and it is fabulous. The Kendwa Beach area is where we could bathe and it is within a block of car. If we return to Zanzibar we will repeat!

Safari trip with young childrenWe returned 4 days ago from what has been one of the best trips of our life. We are amazed at what we were able to see there, even if it was hot we enjoyed every day of family safari. We were worried about the issue of children on such a trip ... and the result has been surprising. With 3 and 5 years they have had a better time than us, they have enjoyed the animals in each park and especially in Serengeti that we were 4 hours in a lioness hunt in a pond, they were attentive to each movement .... We were surprised. After 10 days of safari, Tabia proposed us to finish the relaxing trip in Zanzibar, we went to the 4-star Zanbluu Beach Hotel and we were ecstatic both by the hotel and by the mesmerizing turquoise water beaches and especially its marine fauna. I was 5 days in the hotel and I can assure that it was an unforgettable stay. The room to touch of the sea and with the individual mini pool that is super useful x heat makes. All the hotel staff lovely. ❤❤❤❤

Ok food and rooms. However, already worn and small beauty spots in many places. The pool is nice but dirty ..Good service from the staff.There are no rooms for more than 3 people, except a villa for 4.

Hello to all Israelis!It is important for me to inform you of a dangerous situation on Kiwenga Beach. Last week, my husband and I were robbed at the Zanbluu Hotel on 6 armed villagers who entered through the door of the room and broke into the middle of the night, surrounded our bed with luck, it ended only with robbery, and the villagers apparently entered the hotel in cooperation with the hotel staff. The couple took us an hour and a half to arrive, just the time it took them to finish the robbery, and there were iPhones and computers that were not taken away, suggesting that the hotel was not safe and it was clear to us that the hotel had sold us to them. What ends with physical injuries are not serious but the mental damage will stay with us for a long time !!The same squad carried out a similar robbery exactly a week earlier at the nearby hotel, not reported by the police but by the hotel manager when asked about it.Warns everyone to watch out for beaches and take note of what the security company is in the hotels you stay in! Maybe Zanzibar was a safe place so far but its important to watch out for those who can not be trusted !!
