If you want rock-hard beds, slow service, bad food, bad wifi and no alcohol service - look no more, this is the hotel for you. We were disappointed to say the least.On a positive note, the pool and garden area is nice. The room we had booked was not as reflected on the pictures, however, the hotel director was good enough to accommodate us with a better room, which we were grateful for.Appreciating that the hotel is fairly new, it has a lot of potential but there is definitely room for improvement.

I had to move to a different hotel because of how atrocious the service and food was. There was only one waiter working for both breakfast and dinner and Im sure you can guess how fast the food came out because of that. My little brother ordered a plain glass of orange juice and it took 47 minutes for the one waiter to bring it out. 47 minutes!!!. The breakfast was so plain and bland my 3 year old sister could whip up something tastier. Breakfast was by far the worst! We ordered baked beans and they gave us peas! Peas!! Lmaoo, the food rations were so small it felt like I was in boarding in a low budget mission school. I asked for 2 sausages and he simply said no, you get 1. What type of a hotel restricts its paying customers to one sausage! Yeah dont even bother coming to this hotel, youre better off staying with one of the villager, the food might taste even better lol

Amazing place! 1 min walk to a beach, a few local restaurants not far away.Rooms are great, serviced every day. Clean pool and garden, nice rooftop.Hotel manager will help you out with anything you need, he helped us rent a car. Car parking is on premise.Enjoyed every second staying there.

Good new hotel near the ocean (1 min walk). Rashid put us in room with ocean view - its amazing scenery.The territory of the hotel is not very large but well-groomed.Hotel is situated near local school so you can see how local kids learn.Breakfast includes fruits, juice, eggs with optional sausage, beans, mushrooms, pancakes, waiters and waitresses smiles :)There are small shops and good cafe not far from hotel if you want to eat outside.Rooms are equipped with AC, fans, TV, hairdryer and cleaning girls smiles every day :).Staff is very friendly. Rashid is very nice guy and he can help you if you need. Thank you guys for your hospitality and good mood!

Very attentive and friendly staff. We did not like breakfast. But we bought fruit in the village and served it to us for breakfast. Instead, dinner is delicious and the portions are huge. In general, the chef cooks simply and very tasty. We went to a restaurant nearby and it was awful compared to the hotel. We also bought big crabs and cooked them for us at the hotel without any problems, very tasty. We were often asked to adapt the menu to our tastes and the staff always did. You can easily buy beer nearby and drink in the hotel restaurant.The hotel is very clean. The pool is good. In general, the atmosphere is cozy and you feel at home.The main disadvantage is that the hotel is close to the beach but not on the shoreline. If you come to the beach, you are immediately attacked by locals who want to sell you something very obsessively and do not give you peace. Its really tiring. And its unpleasant. The only way is to use the bars of other hotels on the beach, which have sunbeds and are located in the shade. When you are in their territory, no one touches you.

Everything was perfect ! We spent 4 nights at the Zanoceanique hotel with my family. If we could have, we would have happily extended this stay..the hotel is just sublime! It is very new, with a lovely setting, a pleasant swimming pool and a fabulous staff. From start to finish, the team takes great care. The breakfast is very good with a choice. The hotel is close to the beach. We have done 4 hotels in all in Zànzibar and it is hands down the best hotel of all.

Wonderful hotel !!! Located on Matemwe beach a few meters from the ocean !!! The hotel is new, everything is arranged in European style !!! If you want to live in cleanliness and comfort, this is the place for you. It was unexpected that they clean the rooms, change towels every day, bring water every day. Unlike other hotels in Zanzibar, a huge plus is that there is shampoo and shower gel, and you do not need to pay hotel tax! Many thanks to the chef, they cook very tasty quickly and at reasonable prices. The hotel has a swimming pool, which is cleaned twice a day. Rooms are treated for the night from midges, there is both an air conditioner and a fan. A feature of this hotel is also the numerous sockets in the rooms. There is a separate lounge in front of the room with a sofa and TV! I recommend this hotel to everyone, both young people and couples with children !!

The hotel, according to the words, opened at the end of December 2020. We arrived at it in March 2021. There were no reviews about the hotel, but those 2 that were, well, read them and you will understand what these reviews are. My impressions: the hotel is really new. This is a 4-storey white building on the second line. There are no other buildings in front of the hotel yet. One minute to go to the ocean.If you stand facing the hotel, with your back to the ocean, it can be divided into three sections: the left wing (two rooms with a common balcony and a hall), the central (one and two-room rooms) and the right wing (three rooms with a common hall). Ocean view numbers from the central part and end numbers of the left (we had such a number) and right (not sure) wing. The rest of the rooms face back to the village.The hotel is cleaned daily, towels are changed daily (but they wash towels like with their hands in the village, I cant say that they shone with cleanliness). Mosquitoes are poisoned in the evenings. For 10 days I have not seen a single mosquito.Our room was spacious, the bed was cool. Hot water (boiler in every room), the pressure varied, but overall it was normal. Small refrigerator. The TV in the common hall was never turned on. Air conditioning - worked perfectly, without it, of course, it is impossible to be in Zanzibar. The sockets are universal, the adapter did not need many sockets. Wi-Fi is weak, for correspondence of norms, but sending pictures, videos, downloading something is already problematic.There was no closet in the room, which is very, very bad. And it looks like there are wardrobes only in the rooms from the central part.A la carte breakfasts at the hotel. You order from the menu and they bring it to you. The choice is incredibly varied: omelet, omelet with vegetables, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs. Plus coffee / tea, fresh, toast. Breakfast on the ground floor, view of the pool and palm trees. It is planned to build a dining room on the roof, overlooking the ocean, but, according to the administrator, Rashid, they still cannot get the rest of the furniture. Therefore, for now, you can just go upstairs and enjoy the view.The pool is small, but the water in it is cooler than the ocean (and in the ocean it is 30 degrees). If 4 people are already swimming in the pool, you will not want to go there. The pool has three thatched-roof umbrellas and sun loungers. Pool lovers keep them busy all day before breakfast, so keep in mind. Towels are provided by the pool (just take them and then leave them there).At the hotel you can dine according to the same system, choose from the proposed: appetizers, main course, desserts. Snacks for 2-3 dollars, main course (octopus, squid, shrimps, fish with rice or chips) for 10 dollars, desserts 2-3 dollars. Ice cream ($ 2) is delicious. You can eat main dishes, cooked average. Very very sweet and beautiful hotel) it is new, clean and safe. It has wonderful kitchen and admirable views. Also it has awesome team! I recommend Zanoceanique hotel for everyone.
