We had such a wonderful time at sunshine bay. The food, our room, the pools and the beach was very nice! BUT the staff was AMAZING. They were so happy an lovely. Thanks to everyone!

Wonderful boutique hotel with lush gardens and a swimming pool that has actually cold water! Hard to find in Zanzibar ;) Staff and management are very attentive and helpful.

We stayed at the hotel in the first month or so after opening, and to our amazement, everything was working out amazing. The food was excellent, the New Years eve event and the menu was really nice. The room had an amazing view, and the staff was really helpful and nice.Thank you!

Nice place, well maintained, perfect access to the beach. Staff is friendly and rooms are beautiful. Food is okay-ish in the restaurant. I’d recommend to eat outside. Many restaurants on the beach strip.

Outstanding Environment

Beautiful property right next to the ocean, with incredible views; you can relax by the pool, on the beach or terraces. The food in the restaurant is very delicious and staff tried to assist you with anything you need.On the negative side, coffee is horrible (both the one included for breakfast and the one that you can pay separately, so I ended up drinking just black tea). Not having air conditioning was quite difficult considering the hot and humid weather. The same about not having a fridge (they provide free drinking water, but you have to drink it warm or keep going to the bar to ask for a glass of ice).

100%The Sunshine Bay is, in my opinion, one of the last little corners of paradise on a human scale, unlike the soulless mega structures offered by most of the island.The staff is really very welcoming, always smiling and genuinely concerned about your well-being.The setting is simply magnificent, the infrastructure in perfect condition and spotlessly clean.The restaurant constantly offers excellent and varied dishes of incredible freshness.I recommend without hesitation for all types of travelers, and hope to come back and relax here soon!Thanks to them !

Should have been our hotel, just took a trip there instead. There was a great atmosphere, everyone seemed very friendly. Wanted to be in the front row lodges. When we were there, however, we were very happy to be in our hotel, since everything was very cramped and the beach was anything but empty.

Very friendly staff, very pleasant hotel, very spacious and comfortable rooms, magnificent view, small adjoining beach.Very fine and plentiful catering.Waiting time a little too long between courses, organization perfectible especially for groups. Quality service.I highly recommend !

The hotel is just perfect for a couples stay. The staff are pleasant and very attentive. The dishes are also super good, they are a bit expensive (15 dollars on average) compared to the average price in Zanzibar but its worth it!
