What a gem!! Comfortable, clean, and quiet. Right on the beach, and a nice pool as well. Best food ever, havent had a bad meal once. Free breakfast featuring fresh fruit and juice and the BEST coffee. Staff is too notch, friendly and helpful. I spent 5 days in Paradise, its called Panga Chumvi.

We had a great stay at Panga Chumvi Beach Resort! The bungalows are right in front of the beach and you even have your own little terrace with sunbeds. Matemwe beach is definately one of the most beautiful beaches on Zanzibar, great for swimming and not crowded at all.We had an amazing stay and can recommend Panga Chumvi Beach Resort 100%.

We came for a few days but finally we prolonged our stay at about 15 more days! Staff members are wonderful and helpful, manager Mr Jamal is beyond the human limits helpful and accommodating. Mr Jamal was one of the basic reasons that we have stayed 15 days more! Mrs Zaina as well (staffs supervisor) helped us to any issue caused! The resort is in a magical garden full of tropic trees. Restaurant is great and the food is delicious,outstanding, amazing with pure products of locals nature. Congratulations to the people who prepare all these dishes and in general congratulations to all staff in Panga Chumvi. Panga Chumvi, after a few hours of our arrival, became our second home. Asante Sana!

Lovely place ! This is the only affordable beach hotel we found in the area and we loved it !Comfortable and quiet with a great view of the ocean and a wonderful beach. Nice pool (very convenient especially during low tide) and hammocks. Hot water. Sparkling clean. Super nice manager. Everything was great !

It was beautifully serene. Faces the east so the sunrises are absolutely spectacular! The staff were very friendly and the resort offers a variety of activities, including a tour of Matemwe village. It is an eco friendly resort that uses solar powered water heaters (and the water is still hot if you want to shower at night). They separate their waste and do their own composting, and they use local resources and employ local people. The only downside was the lack of a fridge (I had nowhere to save my leftovers for later).

We were in love with this place, starting from the owner, she is so hospitable and attentive, beautiful territory, fully equipped rooms with a/c, perfect breakfast and very tasty lunches and dinners. Everything was perfect, would definitely recommend to stay here or visit the restaurant.

We were there for two days 24th to 26th dec 2019.Resort is just on the beach, its perfect place for cool and relaxed vacation. there are few sea front rooms others are on garden. its a very spacious compound having its own restaurant cum bar and huge lobby. Food is mostly continental and african type. Rooms are comfortable and traditional.Power fluctuation is common peoblem, summer season can be issue during voltage drops and AC starts malfunctioning, its happened with us, they changed the room. Maintenance seems less, they can further improve. Hotel crew is very cooperative, we really appreciate their hospitality. There are many programs for snorkelling and diving from nearby Dive centers, Scuba Fish, One Ocean. Mnemba island is very near which is divers paradise.

Panga Chumvi is like paradise. It has beautiful views onto Matemwe beach, amazing staff that cater to your holiday needs, and delicious food!Cant wait to come back!

Beautiful hotel in a heavenly setting! White sand beach, lush nature, no superfluous concrete. Swimming pool ideally located and well maintained. Very warm welcome and excellent restaurant. Simple card but everything is there. I loved the simplicity of this place. Note that the beach offers us 2 facets with the tide: a boon to discover the riches that Zanzibar has to offer.
