Exquisite hotel offering a high level of service.I have been to 10+ other hotels on my trip to Zanzibar, this is far the best one I’ve stayed at. Private villas are elegantly designed with a very intricate level of detail. Spaced in between each other so all have a perfect ocean view. Rounded corners on cement bathroom countertops and showers. Private tub. Each has their own mini pool and backyard. The level of service is superior. I saw on their instagram they set up a special lunch or dinner table (attached picture) with fresh flowers and woven branches to be a romantic inclusion. They did this for me and my significant other which was a nice surprise to her. It was such an elegant display! Some minor feedback to the owners to make this resort perfect:-Food menu wasn’t the largest, the best food hotel is Zanzibar Queen. If they can replicate what they have, it will be perfect. We went over to Zanzibar queen a few times for dinner but it would have been better to stay at eat at the hotel instead.-The pizza is not good — needs improvement-The sink and shower water is salty. So salty it erodes the metal faucet appliances and clogs the shower. Perhaps they can get a large commercial water filter.-Only one water bottle in the fridge upon our arrival. They should have the standard of 2 water bottles per day for the guest. If a guest stays 3 days, they should check in and 6 bottles should be in the fridge already chilled.-For the ocean front villas located on the right side (6-8), they should make a little path for each going to that beach path. So we can walk directly down from the backyard to get to the ocean path, instead of walking all the way around.Other than the minor improvements above, this place was PERFECT. Reasonably priced for a nice resort, especially when everything else on Zanzibar is pretty high cost for such low level accommodations. This was well worth it!

Review of كاش بوتيكLocation and theme of the hotel : great, calm with an amazing view of beach. The room : good and needs to renew or replace several things such as : fridge had a bad smell and box safety was broken.Cleanness : good in general and every place in the hotel was clean and organized.Facilities : good and need to improve such as : offering Gym and SPA center with specialists employees.Food and services : good and need much improvement, some times there is not milk or Corn flakes for breakfast and some food were oily. The options of lunch and dinner are limited and the taste and presentation were not reflected the level of 4 stars hotel. The waiters and the staff in general need to improve their skills in hospitality. We decided to have our lunch and dinner next door ( another hotel ).Cost and prices : expensive for rooms and food because are not worth it for services that are provided. The management of the hotel: bad and specially the manager (Sera), Her attitude and behavior with us when we did the check out was horrible. We had to pay 3 % of amount if we decide to pay by credit card and when we talked to her and discussed regarding of paying extra charge she was shouting and speak loudly with no respect of us as customers and she did not give us chance for speaking. Furthermore , she did not has evidence or legal base for extra charge.Overall the experience was not good and never stay there again and we don’t recommend it for any one honestly.

I had the worst honeymoon vacation during my stay in Kasha Botique.Once we checked in our villa, despite i had sent an email regarding early check-in.I entered the room with vey bad smell, the room wasn’t ventilated for a very long time.Lots and lots of dust everywhere, we were sleeping and the net was full of dust, i couldn’t breath. We requested air freshener and cleaning for the room, they did it for us, but still lots of dust.Plz plz plz revise the description of your facility, this is not a private swimming pool, this is a tank full of water that isn’t changed with lots of insects.your room service don’t change water. This is a hygiene catastrophe. How on earth am i supposed to swim in a tank of water full of insect????Food;we had ordered seafood pizza on our first day on the pool, it came very cold with no cheese, a complete failure. I have told the waiter my comment and he replied that the kitchen is far from pool.We have ordered on the other day Hawaii pizza, we had received pizza with no pineapple( which is the main ingredient), i asked about the reason, i received a very strange answer that the kitchen ran out of pineapple and they were lazy to come to pool to ask us if we want other option. They decided on our behalf though to eat hawaii pizza with no pineapple. We were just checking in this hotel for two days and we reached out several times for our dissatisfaction for our experience, just receiving very lousy excuses. All these comments are in aside and how the absent manager responded to our comments through his assistant during our check out was a complete failure, for customer service and handling complaints. His assistant was very sad for our experience and he tried to call his manager to explain to him and his reply on behalf his manager that you should have checked out from the early beginning ( ironically enough as we are in the middle of a very private place that far from anywhere)and they won’t do anything as our booking was done through booking.com and they take commission from them and they can’t do any discounts😄Despite we aren’t seeking for, but any decent hotel would have done discount. In conclusion, i would rate this place as the worst ever in terms of cleanliness , hygiene, food and customer service.Complete failure

Its not a 5-star hotel like advertised - however the rooms were very nice! But the rest was quite disappointing! The breakfast choice was very poor, the prices for lunch and dinner menus were very high and we didnt have wifi in our room like promised! Our end bill needed to be checked multiple times by us, because we got charged more than we actually spent. The excursions offered by the touring agent were overpriced and we felt like getting cheated!

Beautiful clean villas with their own private plunge pools, good food, quiet and peaceful vibe off the beaten path. A real paradise hideaway. Love the unique decor which is a mix of antiques, African, Indian and Arab features all mixed into a shabby chic type of vibe. good wifi throughout now also in the rooms. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. We love it as a secluded peaceful getaway.

Pros: We were greated by a welcome drink and cold towels. The rooms are clean and tidy and spacious. No noise inside the rooms (ceiling fans, fridge, AC) its very quite and you can sleep comfortabltly. The bedsheets and towels were very clean. The rooms are cleaned and decorated every day. The private swimming pool for the rooms are bigger than how it looks in the photos. You even get umbrella in the rooms incase there is rain. The main infinity swimming pool is also very big. Great place to have a honeymoon if you are looking for privacy.Cons: The only place you can have your meals is the restaurant of the hotel. there is no suoermarket near the hotel so you have to buy anything before you reaxh to the hotel. Maybe get some snacks if you will have a long stay. The food is pricy and you get limited choice. (Main dishes with meat 14-15 usd without meat 10 usd, salads 6 usd, fries 5 usd etc.) The breakfast is normal however it could get boring if you stay more than 3-4 days. The rooms have only european sockets (it is good for european travellers, but not if you live in tz and all your electronics dont fit in socket).Review: McDonald was very attendive and friendly 👍👍 from beginning upto the end of our stay. He made sure we had the best time. They provide also another towels for the swimming pool in tge rooms. They give you also adaptors for the sockets on request. Had the chance to witness the private swimming pool is being emptied and cleaned each time a customer checks out from the room. There are even cute animals around. Has great sea views even in partial sea view rooms. Very close to the beach.

Weve had a wonderful 11-nights stay at Kasha. The partial sea view villa does have a great sea view, a private pool is great, the room is spacious, clean and has everything you need. Its perfect for couples. The staff is brilliant! Welcoming and always smiling, especially Id like to mention Enoch - he really did his best to make our stay as good as possible. Thanks for the latte :)Ive had my birthday and theyve congratulated me with cake and dances - that was super nice.As for the beach - the property doesnt have its own, but the nearest small and cozy beach (see photo) is - literally - 5 min walk! Just leave the property grounds, and turn left - and youll be there in no time! And when the tide is low, you can walk there straight from the stairs leading to the sea. However, during high tide you should be careful there. The restaurant really is pricier than local ones, mains are $14-18 (think theyve lowered prices a bit), but no way its as expensive as in Europe, as some previous reviews said. And the food is really good.Theyve installed wifi in the villas as well, which is convenient. The tap water is a bit salty, but it didnt bother us much. Just make sure you brush your teeth with bottled one.As for the road - its bumpy, but seriously, its not that a big deal! Weve had a car and used it every day, takes just 3-4 min to get to the proper new road.Just a little suggestion - add more options for breakfast. Its great for a short stay, but after 11 days we were really fed up with eggs :)

Great hotel in the quiet part of Zanzibar. They have 11 similar bungalows. I would definitely recommend this place for couples who have the need to chill.Food: The food is a lot pricier than other parts of Zanzibar especially compared with the other local restaurants around. However, the food is good and they are changing the lunch and dinner menu every day.The breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at fixed hours.Location: This part of the island is much quieter than the other parts. If you are looking for relaxation, and a silent environment, this is definitely a place to recharge. There is a prox. 30 minutes (walking) to the nearest local restaurant, and 45 min (walking) to the nearest supermarket. There is an excellent beach 45 min walk from the hotel, this beach is almost untouched and is definitely worth a visit! We also paid some local boat drives to drive us home by sea from the beach to the hotel, they charged us 30 000 TZS for this. The Hotel is located in a remote place and therefore taxies charge extra to drive to the hotel or to the local village.NOTE: The roads are bad! Do not let this destroy your vacation ;)Last notes, the hotel charges extra for taxi bookings and other activities such as sightseeing, boat trips, and snorkeling. However, if you roam around the beach you can easily find locals offering approximately the same itineraries for a cheaper price (i do not know if they have the same quality)

This was one of the most beautiful hotel weve stayed at in East Africa. The ambience was very zen and relaxing. We enjoyed the excellent hospitality, and appreciate how accommodating management was to allow for late check out following our snorkeling excursion. The views were to die for. Very cute hotel. Food was excellent and the lodgings were absolutely incredible. The view as well was stunning as well as he pools and the beach below. We had a lot of fun walking down the beach looking at crabs and tidal pools at low tide and met a local guide who offered to take us snorkeling (would have gone if the weather had been better). Two caveats are that it was difficult to reach during the rainy season (we took a cab from stonetown and at certain points were afraid the road would be impassable) so I recommend getting a larger car to go during rainy season. Certain staff members were also a little pushy about trying to sell us snorkeling or spice tours which was annoying. Could have just been the fact that we were there during low season though. Overall I would say the hotel itself was absolutely INCREDIBLE.

Kasha Boutique Hotel is an extraordinary place - perfect gateway from overcrowded, intense and loud civilization. Place where you can truly rest from your every day life and find your inner peace. Each of (only!) 11 bungalows has its own, private terrace, sunbeds and tiny swimming pool, creating amazing, intimate atmosphere. In addition you can find there bigger (shared) swimming pool, private spa, two bars, wide lobby with lots of space to sit around, breakfast / lunch place with astonishing view and evening restaurant. The food itself is really tasty. Every day chefs choice will introduce you to local dishes, including fish, sea food, beef plus options for vegetarians. Eventhough prices are higher then standard ones on Zanzibar, they are really average compering to European ones and adequate to Kasha (higher) standards. And most important - the food is simply worth it!What makes Kasha truly unique place are the people. The stuff is amazing! Helpful, kind, dedicated, patient and always smiling! These honest smiles are worth billions :) From all the luxury resorts and hotels weve been to, this hotel is definitely the best, precisely because of their employees. We have never experienced anything like that anywhere else. Big, big thank you to all of you there!Local (Matemwe) beach, next to the hotel can give you inside overview of real Zanzibar life. You can observe local people with their everyday activities: morning fishing, afternoon trades and evening football games. Enjoy yourself, the sun and swimming in the ocean (just be careful with urchins - hotel provides special shoes). Pack your snorkeling mask to watch offshore wild life. Beach boys can be bothering but respectful assertiveness is the key to get rid of them. And dont be afraid, you are perfectly safe there.Tips for you, outside the hotel:- snorkeling with Divepoint - must have! Better than most we did anywhere else, almost as good as Maledivian one. Of course you can get cheaper offers from local beach boys but its like buying a car: you can buy Dacia or Mercedes, in theory both are cars but...- combine Jozani forest, Spice farm and Stone City in one trip (we did a big mistake that we skipped last one),- take a long walk along the beach and find local restaurant called Bin Jabir. If you are lucky, the owner will offer you drive back to the hotel.Tips for the haters:- yes, last part of the road is bumpy but instead of whining about your back, treat this as free of charge offroad adventure and look around to see one of the last, traditional village in Zanzibar (Matemwe village),- yes, you can find insects in and outside the bungalow but you are on tropical island, so what do you expect... Anyway mosquito net around your bed and lemon grass will save you. And believe us, mosquitoes during summer in Europe are way worst than there.Tips for Finish people - Tanzanian coffee is amazing, so you dont need to bring your own ;)Huh, that is a really long note but since we spent there two weeks, it would be hard to cut it shorter :)And very last tip to remember: as local people say: its Zanzibar, there is no problem here! Hakuna matata!

Very lovely boutique hotel. The bungalows are open plan and have lots of light. Best architectural layout in any bungalows of Zanzibar hands down. Could use with a few improvements that would have given this a 5.1) Fresh fruit is available throughout the local markets but is very limited in quantity, variety and quality in the hotel. People come to tropical countries to enjoy fresh fruit so please make this more available.2) It would really add to the experience to set up some hammocks throughout the compound where guests can lounge where they want. This really sets some hotels apart from others providing the opportunity for spontaneous relaxation.3) The bar service at the pool needs to be more quick and responsive. A full cocktail menu should be available there together with above said fresh fruits.4) Food quality. Although it is good, it is far too directed at bland European tastes. While this is good for certain clientelle, it is not exciting nor does it inspire the exotic flavours of an island with exceptional culinary history such as Zanzibar.All-in-all a bit on the pricey side, but well worth the peace and quiet if that is what one is looking for. Finally, the closest beach where swimming is possible is Munyuni, which is a 15 minute bodaboda ride up the coast. This could be fine for some, but is an inconvenience for those who dream of idyllic white soft sand right outside their doorsteps.

Total relaxation and bare foot luxury for your holiday. This is a well designed lodge and villas, located on the North East coast of Zanzibar which is still quiet and off the beaten path. Private coves and beaches await. This is the place to go if you are looking for total relaxation with a peace and calm coming over you from the time you arrive. There are 11 well appointed spacious villas spread out along beautiful grounds. All of the villas are the same size, with the only difference being the view. Some are set farther back from the sea, but still have a great view. Each villa is equipped with a flat screen tv, dvd player (dvd library in the lobby), and a fridge stocked with some water and milk upon arrival. All have a/c, a nice shower, large tub, toiletries, robe, slippers etc. You also have your own private plunge pool, with a lovely lounge area outside for ultimate privacy. If you wish to be more social, there is a decent pool over looking the Indian Ocean and Mnemba Island, as well as a good pool bar with adequate food and drinks. There is also a small spa with a great local therapist past the pool bar. You can arrange any activity with the concierge in the lobby and you can even take a boat right off the stairs to go to Mnemba which is famous for diving and snorkeling or even to Kendwa and Nungwi to the north of the island. The hotel can arrange an airport transfer and any other transfers that are needed. I found the pricing to be competitive for the transfers arranged with the hotel to go to most places (even being cheaper at times). The food is offered during breakfast, lunch and dinner with a good menu of options. They offer meal plans with a breakfast option, half board or full board option. I would recommend at least breakfast and or dinner as it is a different menu each night and several courses, starting with soup or appetizer, a main course with about 3 options (can also do vegetarian) and then desert. They can arrange a romantic dinner or beach BBQ if you wish. The staff is all very friendly and willing to go out of their way, if anything is needed. You can even order food and drinks and have it delivered to your villa if you dont want to leave. There is a small gift shop, but I would suggest bringing the essentials such as sunscreen, after sun cream etc, before your arrival. All in all the place is lovely with a well appointed and thought out design. It has an amazing beautiful lobby and lounge area that gives off a grand lodge feel. Its a great place off the beaten track, if you are looking for a romantic place, to relax, and avoid the larger crowds of the North Coast (but can still easily get to by boat or taxi by day.) Total bliss, peace and quiet and relaxation awaits!

The hotels greed is the main minus that crosses out all the advantages. It manifests itself in everything. A meager breakfast, consisting of three pieces of unripe fruit, a set of bread, rolls and eggs, this is all for every day. After all, we know what variety of fruits there is on the island, but the supply manager seems to be too lazy to bother, and he takes the cheapest, not ripe ones. Old air conditioners do not work or give out a strange smell. For accommodation of children, they take an additional fee of $ 30 per person / night. despite the fact that it is easy to accommodate everyone on the beds in the villa, motivating this by the fact that serving children, i.e. breakfast (cost no more than 5000 shillings), towels and water (1000 shillings) also costs money for them. Well, the main greedy item is food in the hotel. There is no menu as such, only the dish of the day at the discretion of the same lazy manager costs 15 $! Beer 10 $ !! We have not met such greed on the island, having lived here for a month, in 6 hotels. The explanation is simple, the hotel is located at a distance from the settlements, vacationers have no other choice, we went to eat 15 km away, to the Mzuri cafe, fortunately, there was a car for rent.Minus for accommodation with children, the bath and shower are open, you can see everything from anywhere in the villa, creates an inconvenience. The tap water is salty. The refrigerator is barely alive. The TV is useless. The internet is terrible, the signal is only near the reception and the pool. In the room, the signal does not catch at all.

We are accommodated in luxurious bungalows, each 80m2, with a huge terrace, private pool and ocean views.A large green area of the hotel, similar to the Garden of Eden - a lot of flowering bushes and palms, between them cute mini-deer with tiny horns wandering, not like Bambi and funny anteater animals with long proboscis 🥰The whole hotel is in a traditional Lodge style, with thatched roofs and a huge traditional structure in the reception area - a high roof with intertwining beams, no walls, but a large space is very comfortably zoned - a reception area, a lobby, a restaurant and even a library (though almost all the books are in German for some reason 😜📚The highlight of the hotel is a huge infinity pool overhanging the Indian Ocean 🌊Here we were served breakfasts - by the way, very monotonous and meager, as for a 5 * hotelBut with what kind!Another undoubted plus of the hotel is a large menu of massages and spa treatments. The masseuses hands are simply magical, it was 60 minutes of heavenly bliss ☺️Of course, there are certain disadvantages to this hotel. For example, the coastline. Although I would rather call it a plus, here the groups opinion was divided 😜.The hotel is located on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Thanks to this, even at the time of maximum low tide (and you probably heard that at low tide in Zanzibar it can reach 2 km!), The water does not completely go away and there is an opportunity for a long time and with pleasure to wallow in shallow water 😊.Exit to the conditional beach near the hotel is a descent along the stairs almost directly into the water. There is something romantic and original in this 😉When the tide comes, going down these stairs into the ocean becomes problematic, since the water is flooded with 4-5 steps and the waves are quite strong, you can get hurt.In this case, there is a way out - to go around the hotel by land and go swimming on a nearby gentle beach with white sand (literally 5 minutes). Well, or splash in the luxurious pool.Another disadvantage is that the hotel is quite far from the village, there are no restaurants nearby, and the choice of dishes in the hotel is rather small. But, in principle, everything suited us, because every other day we went on excursions, we always had delicious lunch there, and on the way to the hotel we bought many different fruits and arranged a heavenly dinner on the terrace.

Lived a week in this magical resort in spring 2020. One of the best! Only $ 90 / day. Authentic bungalows (80 meters!) With superior African design. There are 11 of them, they are exactly the same, located in the Garden of Eden at a decent distance from each other, each has its own small pool, huge terrace and ocean views. Amazing animals live on the territory: anteaters and mini deer. Impossible milans!Nearby is the island of Mnemba with diving, coral and white sand-flour. To sail for half an hour by boat - $ 20-30, as you bargain.Infinity pool overlooking the ocean! Just a delight! The restaurant is delicious, the main course is $ 18-20.The nearest village is far away - about 20 minutes on foot, but its worth going. The local flavor is amazing! True, the children teased with the crown, at first they amused, then annoyed, then they got used to it. They began to treat with sweets, the whole village came running - there is no time for the crown.))We will remember the boutique porridge all our lives. Complete charm!
