Loved it. Staff are awesome. Front desk team is excellent. Stayed in an apartment which was airy and did not feel claustrophobic. Will definitely use them again once in zanzibar

Amazingly beautiful landscape. Tastefully furnished rooms and an excellent courteous and well behaved staff. I highly recommend this hotel for travellers visiting the country

The style of this hotel is really not my cup of tea, I found it very tacky and outdated. I also ordered Chicken tandoori for lunch which wasnt cooked properly and luckily I realised before eating it, the food in general was nothing special. It does have some beautiful views from certain parts of the hotels which are the highlight. I failed to understand how this is a five star hotel tbh...

Exelent hotel, exelent service and hospitality.The food is great and the breakfast buffet is so big you dont know what to chose, so you will not have that feeling that you are every day eating the same food.The staff is so frendly and amazing i will defenetly come back.We will miss you.

Liking this place is an understatement …. I love this hotel and staff so much I don’t even want to leave , great food and nice menu options , amazing outstanding staff, so homely and very thoughtful, beautiful spacious rooms with amazing views of beach, garden or pool.. the pool is cleaned and treated everyday. Exceptional architecture and customer service, we got cookies and water everyday as well as beautiful bed decorations ….they made my birthday so memorable .. Pictures don’t do justice… the 5 star of all 5 stars hotel. I was treated like a queen. Indeed value for money.

I liked the architecture, light fittings, furniture is well appointed and the art. The swimming pool and lounge areas are very nice. The waitrons, housekeeping staff and barmen provided good service. However Madinat is not a 5star hotel. They lack amenities and inconvenience guests with their overt and unnecesary protocols. They expect guests to first get access for gymming by reception and afterwards the process needs to be repeated to get access to your room.

Spent 3 nights at this establishment for a work Retreat. From the start, the service was superb, the room was clean and our conference facility was airconditioned. Will definitely recommend it...

Service extremely slow. Waiting staff not very helpful and struggling to understand English. Food quality was oky but expected better quality food due to higher prices and 5 star facilities. Reception did not have change after making payments and never received change after payment on arrival.

Madinat is just pure perfection. Beautiful hotel, wonderful environment, nice staffs, delicious meals and amazing drinks and cocktails. I just can’t wait to go back to Zanzibar and check into Madinat Al Bahr one more time, the experience is just mind blowing. Make sure you visit there whenever you’re in Zanzibar.

Very clean so attractive with its tree flowers surrounds the pool very unique hotel with delicious foods and fruits.

In terms of architecture, interior and scenery the hotel is absolutely amazing and you can tell from the pictures. As for customer service, they need a massive improvement.

I was there only for Dinner Buffer and it was delicious.

The place is big, has alot of rooms with good view on the ocean and a large pool. Their breakfast was ok. The hotel set up is for businessmen I guess. Some advanced tech is used. The bar on the 2nd floor not working and the ceiling lights are off most of the time so it gives it a not so welcoming atmosphere. The staff are not that friendly unlike other hotels Ive been to in Zanzibar

Beautiful hotel seating on the beach, the hotel staff was very kind and all time near you if you need something. There is a good gym for the one who needs .The dinning room is amazing and the food is fresh and tasty offers you many dishes .There is no air conditioning in there and in all the hotel corridors but there is fresh wind blowing from the sea.The room is clean with plenty of accommodation and with a small porch .The hotel is located 5 minutes from the airport .

The hotel is amazing: location by the beach and out of downtown, food is so delicious breakfast is so good and different each day; staffs: Ali was good and nice and accomodating our needs, Sarah was great she did everything to make our stay so wonderful: upgrading our room free of charge, ensured thst the transportation was ready for us when needed and also gave us good advice on which service to use etc....the hotel is so beautiful with a beautiful big pool, beautiful flowers around the hotel to make so relaxed and happy. The view to the beach gives a spectacular sunset. I would recommand this hotel 100%

One of the best hotels in Zanzibar. Very close to The Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, about 8 Kilometers to The Stone Town and Zanzibar Forodhani sea Port. Service a bit slow compared to the quality of the infrastructure. Improvement needed in cooling the Bar at the 1st floor (its HOT)
