Its a very good hotel. Very near to Mnemba diving spot. Its definitely perfect spot for relax and enjoy time. The location is quite far away from city center. I was there 2 years ago. The roads were very bad. Beside of the hotel have fish bazaar, Its a perrfect discover. At nights can see milkway and all stars, In early in the morning, sunrise was just amazing. You can see many fishermen going to see with traditional sailing boats. Dinners are good. The rooms are clean and nice. the staffs are very friendly. If you go there, dont forget to bring some candies for children and soccer ball.

This place is so pretty! Its located on the Matemwe/Kigomani beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches we saw during our almost 10 days travelling around Zanzibar. We were on Zanzibar to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First Stone Town and then the tentative Jozani Forest/Chwaka Bay Conservation Area. From beginning to end Dreams Bay felt very, very professionally run. Before checking in we were greeted with hot towels and wonderful fruit juice. After checking-in, we were shown around the hotel grounds and introduced to the key staff. This while our luggage was taken to our room for us. When we arrived at our room our minds were blown away by both the beauty of the styled room and the view. A big bed decorated with flowers and with towels folded like two swans in love was in its centre. We also got a large plate of local fresh fruit, all so tasty and such a nice welcome. The whole room breathed luxury. The beautiful and big en suite bathroom has a rain shower and is well equipped with a range of toiletries. We had a sea-facing room on the first floor and the view was wow! Our balcony was huge with a breathtaking view of the beach, reef and over the Indian Ocean. We could also see the Mnemba Island, famous for its great snorkelling and scuba diving. Beneath our balcony, we had the saltwater pool, so convenient and so beautiful. Because of the big differences of the tide here, you absolutely do need a pool. One of the things we recommend you to do is to take a transparent kayak to go and explore the sea. The water here is crystal clear and depending on the tide it is never deep. Bring an underwater camera for some very cool photo options! There is also a Spa available. There we enjoyed a super nice couples massage right before sunset. All while listening to the sound of the waves coming in.It was great news to discover that the in-house restaurant was very good. We enjoyed both local and international food, all delicious and presented in a very nice way. They also made great cocktails, especially the PiΓ±a Colada was amazing.Everything about our stay here was 5 Stars. Thank you so much Enzo and team for your great hospitality. A magical stay for us!

We had a rough year and wanted to treat our family to once in a lifetime. We paid $1200 per night at this hotel that promises a 4 star experience and a private beach. We spent 5 nights there. BE WARNED! It is not even close to a 4 star experience. The photos are manipulated for rooms and pool to look bigger and hide the ugly aspects. The beach is NOT private, it is very busy and dirty and women cannot swim wearing a bikini without being stared at and intimidated. The food made us sick and the service was poor and slow.We complained on the first day and the manager made us believe she would refund us half the price. Then they CHEATED us by taking the full amount out of my credit card, leading us on with excuses to delay checkout to the last moment only to reveal that she was not authorized to give the promised discount. Then they kept us HOSTAGE to force us to pay an extra $80 that we spend in drinks.THE RESORTIt is very cramped and you will have no privacy in your room unless you keep curtains closed all the time. The houses are crowded together around a very small swimming pool - the only place you can swim semi-sheltered from the glances of local Muslim men. They are not accustomed or approving of women wearing swimming suits. The pool is tiny. Children cannot play without splashing and disturbing everyone but it is the only place to go for a swim. We felt stared at and intimidated on the beach. The restaurant is designed poorly with window-enclosed terrace. There is not enough natural ventilation, no fans and no air conditioning and in the humid heat of Zanzibar it is unbearable. The entire place is not built to create a high end experience that it advertises and that we paid for.THE FOOD AND RESTAURANT SERVICEThe food is simple and taste ok. However, the service is excruciatingly slow (water only took 40 mins). The menus are poorly conceived: one day my kids could choose only Octopus Stew or Bone Marrow for mains.BUT: they are lax with kitchen hygiene and sanitation rules (I am a chef): dirty food mats and tables, the stacks of dirty dishes in the kitchen, the poorly cooled breakfast item... All four of us got sick on day 3.Breakfast is poor in choice and quality for a supposed 4-star hotel. Only two kinds of cornflakes, 3 kinds of jam (2 when they run out), shared nutella and peanut butter, a small selection of meat cuts and cheese mixed together and left uncooled. You could order eggs but that takes at least 30 minutes. The scrambled eggs are overcooked to the point that over curdled protein seeps out an unappetizing yellow liquid. The pancakes are rubbery and undercooked. There is only cheap instant coffee. One day they run out of plain yogurt (there are no other yogurt kinds). Croissants are of low quality (dense and stodgy), made palatable by keeping them warm. The waiting staff is barely trained: their English is basic and they often did not understand us. There seems to be a strong hierarchy as to who is allowed to take orders and talk to guests, which results in long waiting times, misunderstandings and mistakes. We have witnessed many glasses break and cutlery fall on the ground all the time. To their credit, they were nice and kind and we left them a tip despite all this because it is not their fault that the resort is overpriced and managed poorly.ACCOMMODATIONThe rooms are small and basic, cheaply finished and rough around the edges - stained and rusted bathrooms, no place to store the clothes, no place to sit down in the room other than a small stool. There was no wifi reception in out room and no phone to call the reception to ask for it.THE BEACHThe beach is dirty, full of plastic waste, discarded clothes, shoes, and seaweed. It is a public beach, contrary to what the hotel makes you believe. The whole village plays football directly under your window at 7 AM, fishermen and boats come and go the whole day. I loved seeing the local children play on the beach but I could not go to the beach wearing bikini because I felt very uncomfortable being stared.

Dont stop at the few damp smells in the room, you are right on the ocean. Rather, appreciate the simple charm of the hotel and the swimming pool. Dont stop at the sea urchins in the water, which are natural, but rather look at the authenticity of the beach (a mask, a snorkel, and you have an aquarium within easy reach) and the people playing soccer on the beach. evening. Dont stop at the few rust spots on the taps, but rather appreciate the friendliness of the service and the quality of the food served. In short, after a little surprise on our arrival, we were delighted with the hotel, because you have to know how to look where you need to. The people you meet on the beach will take you (after negotiation of the price πŸ˜‰) to see the dolphins 10 minutes away by boat.

Fantastic location on the snow-white sandy beach. Idyllic houses with thatched roofs instead of hotel bunkers. Quiet rooms with beautiful four-poster beds made of mosquito nets. Friendly attentive staff, eager to fulfill every wish. For snorkelers: Small coral sticks with around two dozen different fish (for example banner fish, various barbs, small morays, pipefish, lionfish, butterfly fish)., But not to be compared with a reef. Sturdy beach shoes, ideally diving boats for knee-deep wading at low tide, as countless sea urchins populate the bottom. The cost of drinks is low: water 1.5 liters 2 $, beer (3 good local varieties) 4 $, bottle of wine 15-25 $. Exposed location requires a taxi, for example to stonetown $ 60 (you can bargain down), if you dont want to be much cheaper with local dalladalla (small trucks with wooden benches), but also want to travel much longer. Excursions highly recommended: three-person combination from Stone Town, Prison Island and spice farm as well as safari blu with original wooden dhow including snorkeling on the reef, sand island, oldest baobab tree, full of seafood, mangroves and impressive back with the old holey fabric sail. Stonetown wasnt enough time for us, so we went on for another day on our own. Dinner mixed with Italian and African, mostly good to very good.Requests for changes to the menu will of course be taken into account. Recommended all round!

Great fresh hotel with a wide beach and pool. The rooms are quite spacious and the bathroom is huge. There is a small refrigerator and a free safe. Cleaning every day. Great dinners and regular breakfast buffet. The hotel is run by a nice young couple from Italy, they are kind and always ready to help. You can swim on the beach 2 times a day at high tide, there were no hedgehogs near the shore, we swam without shoes. There are local barkers on the beach for excursions, you can go with them on boats and around the island, I recommend it is not expensive (you need to bargain) and informative. Outside the hotel, the local calorie, be sure to go for a walk, its safe.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Its managing managers are the cutest, charming Italian couple, young kind guy with a girl. Firstly, it is striking that they have everything clearly organized, and, secondly, they are always ready to help with all questions. Also the staff is very nice, friendly, cheerful. Everything is always cleaned, rooms are nicely decorated, excellent food (we were at breakfasts and dinners). We also just asked for a room with an ocean view upon check-in and they gave it to us at no extra charge. πŸ‘ Directly from the beach you can see the island of Mnemba, next to which there is excellent snorkeling (better than on Blue Safari) and a sand spit with white sand and azure water - right in the Maldives! Mustafa can take him there (it is easy to find him on the beach). Mustafa organizes various excursions very efficiently and responsibly. But you have to bargain, otherwise it will be expensive. The beach is generally cool, covered with coral rocks on both sides, making it more comfortable and calmer than others. There are ebb tides, of course, but you can swim well during the tide. True, there are a lot of boats moored, but this is the case everywhere. Be sure to wear coral, as hedgehogs can get caught. Overall, we are very happy ΠΎΡ‡Π΅Π½ΡŒThank you, Gaetano and Andie! Very nice hotel run by Europeans. The managers are present at the hotel around the clock and are actively involved in resolving all issues, both vacationers and internal. The area is very small but very cozy. Opened after conservation a few days before the first arrival. All problems that arose were resolved literally instantly. We were in it at the end of November 2020, a company, occupied 4 different rooms, all rooms were very good. Cleaning is daily, high-quality, during the day the mosquito is rolled up by the staff, by the evening they straighten and process the room against mosquitoes. The food is very tasty and it seems that the Chef is also European, the dishes are very good. Breakfast is monotonous, but more than sufficient and satisfying, it is simply unrealistic to eat everything.Better to take HB or FB, because there is only one local restaurant very close, and to the village with other restaurants to go far enough and in the heat too lazy.In total, the hotel has 4 buildings with 6/8 rooms, about 26 rooms, in some, just a huge bathroom. We all liked the massage.A small but deep pool (about 2 m.), The beach is cleaned of algae every morning after the night tides. You dont have to worry about safety, there are two shifts at the hotel around the clock. soft police are very effective.Located right on the beach, with white fine sand, next to several other hotels (half empty) and a small community of fishermen. You can swim in the ocean all day, even at low tide, although there is little water at low tide - nothing prevents you from finding a bath between the corals up to your waist and splashing in it. At high tide, swimming is so perfect. There are a lot of hedgehogs on the coral reef, it is better to have slippers, but if you swim with the usual accuracy, then there will be no problems. The locals on the beach do not bother very much - they are hot and lazy.I definitely recommend it.

Nice and clean hotel, who value peace and relaxation is right here. The connection is not so good, it takes 30 minutes to the main road and otherwise there is little to no surrounding offers. Food is great, however, almost exclusively Italian only for starters something African or local. Spa consists only of massage offer. On the beach some beachboys but not to the hotel but when you enter the beach a welcome. Boat tours can be booked at the reception and on the beach. The proximity to Menemba Island is great, 30min drive and you are on a beautiful sandbank in front of the island. Would expect more activities for another stay, this hotel is definitely suitable for relaxation but you have to drive 1 hour to explore the island. Price / performance perfectly justified
