We had a delicious seafood platter- amazing amount of food for value and extremely tasty. Also recommend the mango passion ginger juice!

Good price, fresh juice, my family eat here almost each day during 10 days. Its close to our hotel and better and more tasty than in oout hotel and some other restoraunts near. My respect to Salim. My grade is 5/5

We have rest in Kendwa 🏝 and visit this restaurant every evening. Seafood very fresh, there are also lot of different delicious foods 🦀🦐🥑🫑🌶😋. The best tests octopus (better then in ather restaurants)🐙. By the way u can order any fish in the morning for dinner. Also we like fresh juice 🍍🥭. And ofcource the best prices!!!We are also very glad to meet super friendly and nice owner Salim! Only highly recommended 👌👍😉💯

Recommended!We have been resting for almost 3 weeks in Kendwa. We eat at Salims restoraunt almost every day.Seafood.He has the freshest seafood. Every day he offers todays catch for dinner. Only here you can try moray eel, fresh tuna carpaccio, barracuda with garlic sauce! He knows how to cook fish best way. Just choose seafood and trust the chefs taste.Soup.You can order the soup to your liking, from any fish and seafood that is available. This 7000 shileng soup is on par with the 20,000 soups in the neighboring establishments in my opinion.Time.All dishes are prepared only according to your order, so sometimes the cooking process can take 40 minutes. This is fine. We made an order and went for a walk.Deserts.Only here you can buy delicious factory ice cream, I highly recommend to try it. It is not the same as in Ukraine.Drinks.Freshes with mango, pinapple, passion fruit and others.Cold drinks: Coca Cola, Fanta, Tangawizi (with ginger)

Absolutely the best street seafood restaurant inKendwa, I highly recommend. I eat there every day during my stay. The food is delicious, fresh cooked with lots of ❤️ love.The owner Salum is so kind, friendly and hospitable. Kudos to the staff 👍🏿

My boyfriend and I are traveling Tanzania & Zanzibar for 4 weeks and we always enjoy to eat local food and support local people running their businesses. This place is a street food, as in the pictures, small bar, with fresh fish every day, so you pick what you like. I had a seafood salad, my boyfriend a lobster, both tasty and well cooked. Owner super nice guy (he also cookes). We absolutely LOVE places like this!

Ive got infection after eating in this dirty restaurant.20 meters on the left , there is a new and real sea food restaurant (wood decoration) who looks very nice and with delicious fresh food. Just go over there because it is less expensive and such a beautiful concept. The owner is nice and they didnt recommend also sama sea food restaurant.My recommendation : avoid this bad restaurant

I went to Zanzibar for 18 days, visited many parts of the island and tried many local restaurants. Based on my personal experience, I can relate that Sama Sea Food is the best local food restaurant in terms of taste, price and hygiene. The food was so good and cheap that I came 6 times. Im happy all the day was getting dinner at this place we choose any kind of sea food you want and choose different kind of cooking grill or fried wit amazing spice .and never had any stomach problem ...we eat good we enjoy much .

This joint was across from my hotel - Palumbo Kendwa. Thanks to the owner I had tried most of the local seafood available - in grilled and fried form. Its a small family-run joint, so don’t expect fancy design .)) You may naturally wonder if it is safe to eat - I switched from the hotel restaurant and have been eating here for week and never had any stomach problems .))

The fish is not Fresh, I ´ ve been sick my all trip because of the restaurant! I dont usually post anything online. But I just want to aware people, skip this restaurant !!! If you want to enjoy your trip, and not being sick 😔😔

Being on a trip to zanzibar in september in kendwa I dont recommend this restaurant, after eating fish I got sick when I came back from vacation, my doctor told me I got a food infection. Avoid it especially if you have children. Go eat somewhere else

I have been eating here quite often when I stayed in Kendwa. Salum is a very hospitable owner and his cooks are doing great job cooking the local seafood. I came to Zanzibar to explore, dive and experience local culture and this place gave me the gastronomical experience I wanted - simple and tasty seafood on grill or fried. You could order the fish or other frutti di mare to be bought especially for you at a local fish market or you can go to the fish market yourself, buy what you want and have it cooked for you!!!

Fantastic food and pleasant chef, great experience for the money. In the middle of the crossroads, shabby African shick, but positive experience 😃👍
