We stayed at the hotel next door and we were for dinner at this place almost every day. Food is delicious especially in comparison with what you can find around. Loved the crispy octopus and Hawaiian pizza (up to Italian standards as owners are Italian :) ). Service is excellent as well, Editha and Nicolas always welcoming with a big smile. Definitely worth a visit!!

Lovely place! View on the sea from the top. Owners are italian and very nice. The food is great and tasty, however the price is a bit on the high side. We also missed a diet coke option, but thats often in Tanzania. All in all recommended place to eat!

A very nice restaurant. I can really recommend the homemade pasta and the tuna. The owner really does a lot to help make every dinner experience fun even when your children are not happy about the menu. The even make special food for your children to try to make the evening enjoyable. I can really recommend this restaurant.

Best food in Kendwa beach, Zanzibar!We had an appetizer, two main courses and dessert. It was all marvelous. Had the grilled octopus as a starter, which was on the point, the sesame tuna and tagliatelle carbonara was delicious, and the banana muffin with homemade ice cream just perfectly rounded it up. Can only recommend this place!

I am very dissappointed of this place. We had a lunch before our flight there. Its a simple place like others in Zanzibar. We ordered tuna tartar, it was ok in general, the dish was well decorated. But then, we felt very bad and after the flight we got to the hospital with a terrible food poisonig!!! As I knew, there are other people who got in the same troubles. Its awful! Please take actions to cope with THIS PROBLEM!!!

In this restaurant you can find excellent food quality, the prices are the same as the others in the area, they offer different dishes (new style and beautiful decoration). For food lovers, you can appreciate the local raw materials cooked according to the European style. I ordered the TUNA TARTARE (amazing), WHITE WINE, KING PRAWNS WITH MIX SALAD (combination so tasty), my partner OCTOPUS CRISPY (elegant taste), TAGLIOLINI SEAFOOD (very good), a bottle of De Bortoli Spumante (beautiful) . One of the best dinners we had in Zanzibar. We stayed in Kendwa just one night and chose them after checking tripadvisor and walking on and around the beach. Strongly recommended. We like it, clean, bright, very good wi-fi.

I was reading the other reviews and i honestly thought how strange are people : they pretend to enter inside a restaurant with their own drinks and not be charged, when the restaurant makes its profit on the sales of food and drinks....! Apart from that the prices are very reasonables, the quality of the food very high and dishes well presentes, restaurant very clean and service attentive and fast. Wifi included and pretty fast for Zanzibar...is possible to eat in the terrace, with ocean view......highly recommended it

New place so amazing! You feel like home. I read the previous reviews: I completely agreed with them after been there. Belive me. The day after the dinner here I went on the beach and I asked to The Beach Boys a suggestion for dinner: no one reccomend this place because they works for their competitors. This is not right according to me, anyway I warm reccomend this so gorgeous restaurant where the quality of the food is excellent.

Thank to Roberta to give us a real italian special dinner in Kendwa.We had tuna tartar, octopus crisp and home made seafood pasta, ending with a home made italian ice dream. Everything really delicious. We Will defenetly ne back. Thanks again,Cinzia e Fabry

We knocked on the gate and shouted((( P..S.2 Today we found it - we didnt see a single person inside the hh. It wasnt worth it. Prices from the average in Kendwa inflated twice!!! Dont even waste your time searching!!!

The pizza was overpriced and they skimped on the toppings... the owner was rude to us for bringing our water bottles in from outside!

The food was decent, nothing special. The management was kind of rude, only saving grace of this place was the view.

The restaurant is great.but the portions are very small

If you are not local you wont find this place ever. Especially after dawn. Forget about it.

The best restaurant in Zanzibar! Had a god dinner 3 days in a row! Tried everything! From fish to homemade pasta to pizza! If you are in Kendwa you cannot miss the opportunity of an excellent meal seasoned with the friendliness and professionalism of Roberta and Salvatore!

I liked everything very much! We were greeted very friendly and well fed. Now, due to the situation with the coronavirus, it is imperative to book tables in advance to get here (write to them on the same day - it will be enough)They took spaghetti carbonara, beef with rice and vegetables and spicy soup with seafood and rice. Everything is insanely delicious! We definitely recommend the place. And the owners are very nice Italians with whom you can chat in English :)

Being at home in a place that is not your home seems nearly impossible .. and instead, in this wonderful restaurant, its true!Excellent food, excellent cleanliness, efficient staff and EXTRAORDINARY owners!It deserves at least double the stars!We were literally ecstatic!Highly recommended !!!

I ordered a seafood salad, my husband spaghetti with vegetables. My salad was super. Spaghetti was like that. The husband asked without a bow, brought with a bow. I would ask for a change, but he protested and decided to leave, they very prudently offered us an additional plate :)We blunted parmesan cheese for pasta and didn’t order it, but they didn’t offer it ourselves.As we went to wash the water was not. It appeared 2 minutes after we opened the faucet and tried to wash them under a minimum stream of water because we already soaped it🤦🏼‍♂️I would give 4 points, but my husband protested, said give 5 :)

Excellent reception. If you want to eat seafood (fresh fish), you can not stop here. Eat both local and Italian, I ate some delicious scialatielli with prawns and lemon (prawns and lime). On different days I also tried very good pizza. Aperol spritz with terrace overlooking the sea and if you want to taste a real BORBONE espresso in africa, you will find it. Thanks to Salvatore who was very helpful and good company.

But thats good !!Found by chance, right next to our hotel, we found ourselves so well that we didnt change it for our 5-day stay in kendwa.Friendly and helpful motto, kind and smiling attentions to the client.Obviously we didnt stay there just for that, very good food, very fresh fish, we eat both Italian and local cuisine and the pizza is a good motto.Prices ..... very affordable.I highly recommend it to everyone.Holders just funny and sunny motto.See you soon !

Very good, pleasant establishment. The staff is very nice. Prices are average. The portions are large.There are a few wishes:1. Reduce the waiting time for dishes. Once we waited 40 minutes for soup2. Improve wifi performance. In a restaurant, either a minimal signal, or none at all

We had dinner 3 nights in a row at this restaurant. Definitely quality price the best of kendwa. Delicious pizzas. The octopus carpaccio and the amazing stun tartare! Highly recommended. The staff and owners are very attentive and charming. A pleasure to chat with them at the table.

I guess it will be a long time since the chef goes to Italy, but the food is not good at all. Very very small portions, pasta over cooked (soft) and everything else, normal to bad. There are better options in the city.

An espresso café as it should be, alleluia! Bourbon, my dear friends, and I wont add anything else. Speed, quality in the choice of raw materials (obviously the dish costs those 1000 shillings more) variety and flexibility in the choice, extreme availability and smiles. I love and know Italy, Italians and Cuisine. If I am asked about what is most important in an Italian restaurant, I will say the main Attitude.Attitude to work and to the client.So thats it. I didnt like the attitude.I requested gluten free bread. I was refused. They said that it is IMPOSSIBLE and there is no flour on the island other than wheat. But you CAN make this flour yourself from rice or corn. All Tanzanian Restaurants do this and are happy to make pancakes for a gluten-free customer.Everything . Besides this restaurant.The soup was too salty.But the main thing is the coldness in the eyes of the Staff.Sorry, but its true.
