Just returned from this excellent Jambiani restaurant. At noon it was not crowded at all, so our order was ready in 15 min. Great taste (fish and calamari), with flavour and spices. Very affordable prices, as well. This place is calling us back, for sure.

I like to encourage small local businesses and this is the reason for which I choose this place. But after my experience, I would say the reviews are a little bit overrated. The food is ok, but nothing special and for sure I had better octopus on the island, not burnt like the one from tonight. We waited more than 1h30 for the food, while other people that arrived after us were served first. Overall, not my first choice if I would recommend a restaurant in jambiani. Thank you

We have been there twice during our stay in Jambiani. The staff was very nice and the quality of the food was also very good.The portions are big and the pricing therefore very reasonable and common among local restaurants.

This restaurant is really difficult to find, but if you are travelling with Google maps you will find the way easily. My favourite dish was octopus and calamari- if you have the chance please try it! From the restaurant there’s no straight view on the ocean.

We ate there two times already. The food is delicious, the fish and seafood are cooked perfectly and the butter sauce is amazing.The staff is friendly and really professional, we’ve never been served that quickly during our three months in Tanzania!

The food is great and Hassan is very friendly and funny. As Tanzanian residents, the local food was priced much higher than usual, but for tourists, it is a great experience with flavorful food.

Hands down the best restaurant we tried in Jambiani. The food was so delicious, we came here every day for the 4 days either for lunch or dinner. Prices are better than most restaurants around. Octopus is superbly delicious, just like the tanzanian fish curry.

Difficult to find, you need to wait for food quite long but everything is fresh and worth waiting. I highly recommend grilled calamari.

Good restaurant in Jambiani, great service and very tasty dishes. Lovely open seating under a large thatched roof. While the menu stays the same, fish and seafood vary according to the days catch.

Our favourite food in jambiani. Definitely worth a try, the lovely staff will cook you a delicious fresh meal. So tasty every time. Authentic food, just behind the beach front places. Highly recommend.

Very nice food

Ordered 2x Avocado and Coconut smoothies, received Pineapple and coconut smoothies. Would have gladly had it, but it was really warm and tasted like whatever equipment that was used was never cleaned. To be brutally honest it was awful. The lady that took the order was not friendly and quite annoyed when we asked her kindly to make what we ordered. We paid for one and actually just left. We were extremely disappointed. We had dinner here a couple of nights before, the food was good, but extremely extremely slow!!! We waited a very loooooong time. Sad to say we won’t go back.

Taste good and excellent quality

We ate here twice this week. The Florence Fish with spinach and cheese on the top was incredible. The stuff is freandly the cooker is clever.

The restaurant is ugly, no decor, its really local.Local cuisine.For me there is nothing good about this restaurant, except to eat locally, in a gloque setting.The food was good, on the other hand the chicken in the dishes is pieces you wonder what part of the chicken you eat? Its not white, its not a thigh thats for sure 🤣

Delicious cuisine, excellent seafood and fish. The shrimp and avocado salad was very good. Drinks are good too. Great place for dinner, my best recommendation :)

One of the few local restaurants easily accessible from Jambiani beach (located in the second row of buildings behind the Zanzistar beach bar). All fresh and delicious food, waiting about half an hour.

Found by chance behind the waterfront restaurants around 9:30 p.m., it was still full. The menu is varied with local, Indian, pasta, Thai ... we ate very well for 10 euros per person with drinks. Good address

We went there for 4 evenings in a row. Always something different but excellent.A very simple restaurant but with quality food and expertly cooked. Even the meat !!! Highly recommended. There is a wait if you arrive that there are busy tables. A good time can be around 19:30 but you can book easily.I recommend no bins, they work, well, to make you feel good.

We had a very tasty lunch, ordered some dishes with kari sauce with my husband, I don’t remember the name, one with shrimps, the other with fish. Awesome tasty! Thin bread of chabat was especially delicious, the freshest, I almost ate my fingers :)

The food is very good, I recommend the eggplant curry and the chapati which are a safe bet not spicy. The smoothies are good and made with fresh fruit. The price is very correct for the region. Please note that a little time must be allowed for the service.

Have been there twice. The food was great. Freshly prepared. We had the samusas, fish croquette, Zanzibar food and the pepper beef. The beef was medium and tender! We would go back here again and again.
