This IS the place in Zanzibar. The owners - spectacular and best people ever!!! The rooms - need to be in a architectural review and praised to the moon!!! The food - tasty, savory, inventive and just amazing!!! The staff - most friendly and welcoming!!! This is my new island home and if I could, I would live there!!! Feels home, is home.

Our room was gorgeous, breakfast delicious, the pool is fantastic… and the drinks!!!🍹😎 in all respects it was a perfect week!

The pros: Nice environment, great decoration, very cozy atmosphere.We came in as outside guests so can’t judge on the overall experience. We wanted to find a place for 2-3 weeks, the hotel, room and restaurant looked great on pictures and the first impression confirmed it.We ordered some drinks and a $20 starter for me as me girlfriend was not hungry. Here comes the BUT. After the owner took the order he came back saying that each person has to take a dish as outside guests. We were not even allowed to have our drinks. I think very reasonable if the restaurant is full (or closed!), but it was bloody hot at 1pm, ie not having the biggest appetite at 1pm, so we were not that hungry and there were only two other guests.This was our second visit in Zanzibar in the past 6 months and the third one overall. Not only here, but having traveled the world and living in +15 countries we have never experience such a customer unfriendly attitude. Any other resorts in Jambiani welcomes guests with open hands, even if you only want to have drinks. Hospitality and great customer focus at its best in the places around.As written above, I do not want to judge on the hotel, food and a guest experience but happy we did not book our stay here after an amazing time at Tulia and White Sands and several other resorts in the past. With lunch prices between 20-35$ I’d expect an appropriate service, especially from the owner.To close it in a positive manner, looking at the other reviews’ responses, we‘ve been lucky not to be called „animals“ or to „fuck-off“ at least.

It was the MOST UNFRIENDLY experience, we have had for years. I’m still shocked about the way the owner treated us. We came for dinner but instead of welcoming us and offering us a table, we were taught, that this is their home and we aren‘t allowed to come in without a reservation. Never ever again.By the way: the Restaurant was empty. Is this the way you treat your only (possible) customer of the evening?

It is already my second time here in Casa Paradis. And it is definitely my casa, my second home. In March/April I stayed for 7 weeks, 3 weeks had been planned, but for me there was no other option than extending my stay as often as possible, as I just didn’t want to leave. Valentin and Denisa became family and I was already counting the days to finally come back. The place is amazing, lying at the pool feels like heaven, as so tastes the food in the restaurant. The rooms are more than wonderful and stylish. The housekeeping does a great job and the rooms are always done and tidy! I also celebrated last eastern, xmas, my birthday and new years eve here and I am already thinking of doing the same next year again. Still one week to stay here and already sad about leaving.AND because of the very rare but still typed negative comments I found: Denisa and Valentin are really taking care of their property and their guests. So if you act rude and/ or just come running into a private property, you should be ready to be told that this is not the right way to enter. This is for the safety of us, the guests! Or just imagine foreign people could come into the property during day and night- wouldn’t feel safe, would it? They care for their guests with their heart and that is what I feel every day here in my beloved Casa ♥️

If youd like to splash out on excellent food and wine in Jambiani, and really get to feel like you are being treated like royalty, this is your place! Highest quality through and through. Truly recommended!

I have just read the last comment which I find totally unfair. The hosts at Casa Paradis are just the friendliest people I have ever met. Always so helpful. The restaurant is fantastic and always very busy.As a matter of fact, I was at the bar enjoying a cocktail when those people came in and without any further ado asked for the way to the loo. Never did they even say « hello » nor « can I use your toilet?». Only when the owner said that this was a private place, a restaurant, a hôtel and their home, did they mention their intention to have dinner here …. at 6 o’clock in the evening.I can swear that it is 8.20 now and the restaurant is full.The owners do NOT deserve this kind of abuse…from rude people.

We spent 10 days at Casa Paradis with our loveliest hosts Denisa and Valentin. After this experience at their home, we proudly can call them our family. The location is actually a paradise nearby the ocean, the food was really greeeeat and the accommodation itself was an experience well never forget.Imagine you wake up in the morning and have this view for a couple of days. Heaven on earth!I would definitely recommend this paradise house to others!!!

I’ve visited this amazing place last year in September 7th, 2020, and I told myself I have to come back.I was actually eager to return. I was fascinated with the location, but more than that with the style of this boutique hotel, the hospitality of the owners, the super delicious food they serve at the Nobis restaurant and the warmth of every smile that greeted me since I stepped inside.Now after a year, I brought my mother and two of my best friends to see the Paradis themselves.We were received with the same enthusiasm and we were very well taken care of for the entire evening.We started by having drinks on the rooftop bar. The cocktails were delicious, I enjoyed my Paradis Spritz watching the sunset. Great atmosphere and nice music.Once we finished with the cocktails, we were greeted downstairs at the Nobis restaurant where a beautiful table for 4 was waiting for us.We started with freshly baked bread and bread sticks, delicious! The plates coming out from the kitchen were art, as you’ll see for yourself, spectacular. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. Everything was accompanied by a chilled bottle of Prosecco.I was impressed by the professionalism of the lady, Helena, and the gentleman Mohamed. After every sip of water or Prosecco my glasses were refilled, same went for the rest of the guests as well. The side plate has been changed for about 4 times, with every lobster shell. 5 stars!We were already impressed to the maximum but what else better could follow?!I’ll tell you, the dessert was super delicious and the digestive from the house which was made by the owner himself.What a smooth combination of alcohol infused with cinnamon and cloves, superb!So, we booked dinner since afternoon, and make sure you do the same when you visit because the menu changes every day. Gorgeous place on the beach with a wonderful terrace for a drink before your dinner. Downstairs, you can have a great dinner (sushi and ceviche in the coconut were delicious). A very elegant ambiance, attentive service and a well researched wine and drinks list make for a perfect dining experience. Denisa and Valentin are great hosts, and have a great thing going at Casa Paradise.

Very friendly atmosphere, nice owners and service. Clean, tidy and very quiet. A place for people looking for peace and escape from the everyday dusties. Two meters lower on to the beach, you will discover a different face of Zanzibar, but You always can hide at the pool and just spend Your time with Your thoughts.

Where to start?We spent 2 weeks in Casa Paradis and it was hands down one of the best experiences we have ever had, really living up to the expectations.- Rooms are spacious, cleaned regularly and really comfortable- The resort itself is picturesque with the sea connection and the tons of small decor touches (it is visible that the place has a concept, not just random things thrown together)- The food is out of this world! We tried approx 10 different restaurants in Jambiani, Paje, etc. but none of them came even close - fish ceviche, fish in banana leaves, steaks, its all fantastic.All this topped with the incredible hospitality of Deni, Valentin and the staff - thank you guys again for everything, you really made us feel like home and cant wait to be back! :)

The hotel is brand new and just breathtaking. It is perfect to really relax and to enjoy cocktails by the extraordinary pool. The food is fantastic and varied and every gag there is a new menu. The rooms are very nice and furnished to a high standard and are well divided in the hotel. The team is great, friendly and fulfills every wish! I would recommend the hotel to my closest friends! Rude owners. Overprized. The Resorts in the nearby area (for example Belvedere Resort) are of better quality and have friendlier staff.

The food was incredible. The best Ive eaten on Zanzibar. The starters were amazing, the appetizer addictive like a drug. The portions are pretty big, the menu is different every day. The owners are wonderful people. Well definitely come again and again. I can definitely recommend it to everyone

You can see even by details that this place is managed by the professionals!We were group of four friends and stayed in December 2020, took two rooms and both of them were great, cozy and stylish. We did not have the pleasure of staying here but we had the good fortune to eat here for one of the most delicious meals in Zanzibar. The food was outstanding, the presentation beautiful and the hosts friendly and welcoming! We were just planning to go out for a snack and ended up with an amazing meal complete with drinks and dessert (homemade sorbet). Our 11 year old son loved everything as well.The gracious hosts Denisa and Valentin also gave us a tour of the hotel and rooms and they were large, beautiful and appeared very comfortable with an arabic/middle Eastern theme.Come hungry and prepared for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend!

Huge thanks to Valentine and Denisa, the owners and hosts at Casa Paradis for making our stay exceptional! This is one of the best vacation experience we’ve ever had. It is not just a boutique hotel it is peace of heaven, with every aspect well thought out and managed with extreme attention to detail. The overall space has a very cozy mix of Mediterranean & middle easter vibe, with many authentic pieces around the rooms and public spaces. Each room is spacious, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The food is the best on the island by far, we’ve spent 3 weeks on Zanzibar and no other place can be compared. The wine and drinks selection is also outstanding, not just your basic South African Sauvignon blanc :) The service is out of this world, guys took care of us as we are their favorite guests and I am sure every guest at Casa Paradis feel that way. If more people on the island treated their hospitality establishments with such passion and love as Valentine and Denisa do, it would attract more sophisticated customers and helped the tourist infrastructure flourish. For now, Casa Paradis is the only exception on Zanzibar.

We loved this place !The owners, Denisa & Valentin did a great job with this place. The boutique hotel has 6 rooms only & all guests feel like family and staying in the same house(except 1). This is my third visit to Zanzibar and I can confirm that this hotel has the best restaurant (Nobis), best house-keeping & best hospitality. ***** personal comment***** This hotel is highly recommended for young souls & laid back crowd, if you are like one of the guests, looking to making your own rules & policy please go airbnb your own villa instead of complaining, playing the staring game, shouting & slamming the door, this is not jersey shore 😂👎🏽 even your roommate was annoyed by your POOJA behavior.

The only motivation I have while writing this short review is the tribute to top-class hospitality from the hosts & their team.Overall, unprecedentedly sophisticated experience.The Casa is owned by a lovely pair of individuals (Valentine & Denisa). Their dedication and engagement during our stay (10 people) cannot be simply described by a language we speak. This is the feeling you have to taste.The ocean is right on the doorstep, so great Insta posts from the terrace are guaranteed and highly recommended (or elsewhere actually).The place is outstandingly cosy and self-sustained, highly detailed in all aspects to meet the most pretentious expectations. The time literally stopped while we were there. No need to think about anything (iron, laundry, taxi, excursion, advise on anything…), you name it and you get it.The restaurant: Beyond any expectations. No idea if Michelin guide is there in Tanzania, but it will be definitely impressed by the variety, quality and taste of the dishes we’ve been served. Wine stock is remarkable…Valentine is a French guy, he knows the topic very well.So, long story short, highly recommended, completely trustworthy.
