The best part of the hotel is the Karambezi restaurant. You enjoy your meal in the comfort of a live band and at the same time watching the ocean tides.

The concierge was very friendly and helpful. I was nervous to meet my date and misunderstood his direction but another staff member was also very friendly and helpful showed me to their beautiful restaurant

Nice hotel with smart foyeur and spacious rooms with lovely views of the pool and sea beyond.Bedding was silky smooth and comfortable and pillows were good.Wifi was decent for phones but inconsistent for streaming and Zoom meetings.Mini bars were well stocked with alcohol and treats.Gym is well stocked, well maintained and uncrowded.From the hotel, taxis are cheapest in the city and readily available.Friendly staf and great restaurant downstairs with sizeable delicious oriental dishes.Surrounding area safe for early morning running and walking late into the night.

Poor Seacliff - Loud events hold hotel guests hostage! Music wherever one turns. The once oasis of peace and quiet has become a hot-spot for loud music and even blasting right center of the lovely garden. If you plan a relaxing stay - look further. The room and hotel remain top notch - but at what price. Sad we loved the hotel, its lovely staff.

Just one of the best food eating with an amazing scenery and breeze in Dar es salaam, the service is outstanding and the food is delicious at all times I’ve been here. I couldn’t take any pictures of the food as it was gone before I noticed i just devoured it quick, love the freshness of the seafood dishes served here!! Also very kid friendly area and has ample parking space. Overall relaxing place for any day.

Excellent accomodation.There s no word to describe how the staff is caring to make your stay perfect. Excellent food prepared at home too. This part of Tanzania is probably among the beat for indulge in local life. There are much less beach boys to bother you too here. Mnemba island is very close for swimmong with dolphins and superb snorkeling. All in all, we had a great family vacation (family of 5) and the house was far above oir expectations in any way. Congratulations! 5 stars!!!

A 5 star hotel in town along the only cliff in msasani peninsula. Very nice views. More than enough parking the place is close to to shopping mall where you can get almost everything. There are more than one restaurants a swimming pool and all that a 5 star hotel would need. While in Dar es Salaam for business or pleasure, this is a good place even with your family

Sea Cliff hotel is situated on amazing place with million $ view! Loved the charm of this hotel. Hotel exceeded my expectations, was spotless, the staff was amazing and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The amenities were great. It only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Most specially the pool. Sparkling clean water and staff was incredibly helpful! This is the perfect hotel for a business stay, weekend getaway or other event. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dar.

Great spot, amazing staff. Get your cameras out. Live music some nights. Bar and restaurant is fantastic. Seperate Indian restaurant there also.Salon and 24 hour casino. Decent Gym on site and another full gym across the street. Supermarket and guarded atm so you can use your card there safely.

Comfortable beds, nice staff, very poor breakfast for such an hotel. Question: why does the waiter have a sling in his hands at breakfast? I understood to keep away the birds but would he have used it during breakfast with the guests around? 🤪

First they allowed on site parking and hotel visit ,then they said in the hotel coming not allowed and as well parking not allowed ,then they called us to park and pay 1000 tshs coz of corona they didnt have busness ,now business started even parking there they refused with money or without i wont recommed this place as it keep changing eveyday with new management and security staff

I practically LIVED in this hotel for 3 months, while my house was being prepared by the US government..... I got to know this AMAZING place as my VERY FIRST long term hotel stay...My wife and I loved it.Seriously From the BEAUTIFUL AND WARMING staff, to the AMAZING FOOD, I truly know that there is NOT ANOTHER PLACE QUITE LIKE Sea Cliff, which by the way is pointed PERFECTLY perpendicular to the cliff that it set on.. Making the views of the Indian Ocean simply SPECTACULAR!Anytime we Go back to Dar, thats MY home.And I DO plan to return.The Perrys miss you guys Sea Cliff!!!!

Wonderful experience , location wooow , delicious breakfast with view of ocean but not open buffet , room very clean , comfort , very safe , room service excellent , there are restaurants and market closeonly one situation that one guy on reception wanted to cheat with 50 USD shame !!!!!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and multiple in hotel restaurants. Amazing view of Indian Ocean and very nice pool. The staff truly makes you feel welcomed like family and goes out of their way to assist you with anything needed.

Every turn in this fine hotel helps you appreciate the view over the ocean. Dont hesitate to move around to breathe in fresh air from the various beautiful flowers and green vegetation.

It is the only hotel near city centre that has been uniquely located for you to see the beautiful Indian Ocean at a very safe and quiet neighborhood. It has all the features expected, dedicated services and very professional staff. It has also extras spots such as spa,very large outdoor swimming pool, seating and parking, casino, gym,jewelry & cultural shop plus a small mall and supermarket in the same vicinity. The one star missing is not its fault, not entirely, as since it is in the cliff, one cannot really swim at Indian Ocean directly like some other hotels.

We had a great time. Although the tables were all taken but the manager accommodated us and allowed us to feel comfortable.The place is beautiful and peaceful.

A beautiful place. The restaurant is by the sea with amazing views. What a pity that the chef does not know how to prepare lobster. It was hopelessly overcooked. The meat was dry and tasteless. A very pricy item messed up. If you want to eat here it is better to stick to the basics.

They dont allow dogs inside. I recommend modern Restaurants like Epidor, Levant, Woodberry and so many more, who are more developed and friendly to all creatures.

This review is for the Karambezi Restaurant only, as I did not stay at the hotel this time. The view of the ocean is always a welcome backdrop to having a meal at this seaside restaurant. I had a lunch meeting with a good friend here, it was a good place for that. The drinks were cold, the food was good and the company even better. It always feels good to come back to this part of the peninsula. The view of the ocean has a glass screen now, to keep the atmosphere a little better on those days when the weather is not so friendly. The food was well prepared and presented well, clearly made with fresh ingredients, which is always a good place to start as it is hard to go wrong from that start. Good place for a meal, on your own or with friends.

Just like the name suggests, the hotel.is located by a cliff on the Indian Ocean. The rooms are perfect. Food is great. The bar is patronized by both hotel residents and non residents. The have live band music too. Worth a visit while in Dar.

Its l good and five ✨ hotel

A Hotel that has a good location, a very nice view, and easy to live in as two restaurants are on offer as well as a range of shops on their doorstep. The rooms felt a bit outdated, and the air con was not too effective, but it was comfortable. Shower fittings looked a bit old too and bathroom door did not open fully due to shower position.All in all i would stay there again as it had great views, although i did not have a sea facing room

A friend visited and asked me to stay and give her company for 4 nights, from the moment i arrived, the staff was always friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was big, clean and very comfortable, the view from our balcony was of the Indian Ocean, it felt like you were the only people staying there, very relaxing☺️☺️☺️😊.We ate breakfast in the Karambezi restaurant each morning, the food and service was excellent.We had dinner 3 nights in the restaurant and once again the food and staff were excellent.The view from the restaurant is of the ocean breeze gives a very peaceful, relaxing outlook.Every staff member we came across, had a smile and nothing was too much trouble, even the cleaners.It is a very well run hotel and staff look like they enjoy working there.I will definitely be back one day💯

Excellent stay good food.Hotel room I stayed in paying $160 per a night the shower and taps faulty.Suppose to be a 5 star hotel but in my opinion a 4 star.

I have been to this place twice. They have a nice cafe called Karambezi. It overlooks the Indian ocean. The manager is really nice. He walks around checking on the customer to ensure everything is OK. However, the waiters, though really nice, their service is slow. But the place is clean. You have many seating options. Whichever place you seat, the view of the waves and blue Waters of the Indian ocean is breathtaking. I am new in Dar es Salaam and this is one of the few places I have liked and frequent.

Overrated. Small swimming pool. The rooms are just okay. Sea view rooms dont have an unhibited view of the ocean due to blockage by palm trees. The sea view rooms are also far away from the cliff. The gym is beautiful. However, the hotel is too pricey hence I had to check out the next morning. Its proximity to the shopping area makes it ideal for dining out in the evenings. Overall... not the best value for money

Lovely vibe and good food. Seafood platter was minus our crab that was advertised on platter and the pineapple mocktail was not nice.

A wonderful home away home! Always when I go to Dar, I stay at Sea Cliff. Friendly staff, nice rooms, amazing ocean view... and a rally good indian restaurant Alcove. But above all, I am grateful for Nana who has made my stays always special:)

Beautiful setting with excellent service and delicious food.Be sure to book a room facing the ocean. There are ones facing the shopping centre behind the hotel which literally look out onto extractor fans and utilities.The hotel is beautifully furnished, doesnt have that damp smell and they spray an odourless mosquito repellant every night during the turn down service.There is no beach at this hotel. The hotel is built on coral rock cliffs overlooking the ocean with a natural coral reef that has crystal clear pools during low tide.There is a casino at the hotel and 3x restaurants. Outside the entrance of the hotel are a multitude of other shops and restaurants if you get tired of the hotels excellent cuisine.Definitely one of the best places to stay in Dar es Salaam.

This is the place to be while in Dar... Service is excellent, the meals are super and the view from the rooms is spectacular. I loved the ambience at Karambezi café on Sunday afternoons.Compared to similar hotels like Sun and Sands in Kenya, Sea Cliff comes tops. Rarely do i give 4 stars but this place deserves, no doubt

First of all, I was disappointed simply because, I was looking out for Alfredo Suits but went to the wrong direction because of the owner of the business not updating his information of where about is the shop. So, what happened is some samatarians helped me out by telling me where Alfredo Suit was located.Im not going to carry on giving comments as today, my health is not well. But, please whoever the owner of the business is, just do a simple thing by making our lifes way easier by updating your location. It will help you in future, plus at least I gave my time on telling you a constructive idea.Enjoy and hope the best for your businesses.Gracias.

It is a great hotel. Very old, run down a bit but still great. You cant beat the location of this hotel. The Karambezi Cafe at the hotel is amazing. Rooms are comfortable, although old, excellent food, and great service. Only reason I am striking one star is because it needs a big overhaul to improve upon rooms and other facilities to match to other 5 stars in the city. I have been coming here to this hotel for 10 years now and still want to come back.

The perking security disturb clients alot they should allow people to park even if its not going inside

Beautiful hotel on the edge of the sea. Well designed rooms and comfortable service. The restaurant views are amazing. Only thing is that there is some construction ongoing which will definitely improve the hotel but they should advise visitors of this...however the construction doesnt interfere too much with the amenities.

The food is amazing! The chefs are expert at sea food. The ambiance is excellent with live bands on Sundays that part through the night. The waiters are attentive and well trained with the manager attending to each table at least once.

A very popular spot and must try. Very lively, on the oceans cliff so the view is phenomenal. The food can be a bit bland (those mass appeal type restaurants, dont want to offend anyone tastebuds) but the food is always super fresh, healthy portions, and cleverly crafted dishes. One of my faves.
