AC water drops can fall on your face while sleeping, water pressure is too low for shower, no hot water facility, AC sound was loud, TV not working, No wifi range in your rooms. Food is just ok.

Staff at reception were great.However anyone planning on stay here, be aware that;*There are no mosquito nets in the rooms (not in mine anyway) and there are a lot of mosquitos.*They also have WiFi, but there was no access to WiFi from my room.*I had to sit on the stairs in thehallway to make online calls and access the internet.*While sitting on said stairs, I saw rats running up and down the stairs in close proximity to the kitchen.*The room service phone and TV in my room room did not work.* I had to reception and ask for my window to be closed, because it was broken* And there seemed to be what looked like semen on my sheets.*When I told the lovely man at reception, he did not seemed surprised and said house keeping was the issue.*The second sheet I was given new sheets which were also dirty and the 3rd a huge tear in it.*4th one was clean, but by that time I had, had enough.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Positive: Location is good. Negative: Improve the cleanliness of the hotel rooms, payment by credit card must be working, the beddings were very small relative to the size of the bed, they just provided a thin blanket and a very small bedsheet that did not fit the size of the bed..

I paid 120000 for a night dated 17th jan 2021 at iris hotel.Its a good and clean hotel but AC not working and unavailability of 2water from the shower.Customer service is good yet i got no alike room for exchange how will i be refunded some amount?Or what can i be offered?

Positive: Staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the porters walked me to the local ATM. There is a restaurant on the first floor (seperate business) which serves nice food, and they delivered to my room. Not far from the ferry port if visiting Zanzibar.. Negative: The taxi driver seemed to have a really hard time finding it with the one-way system in the area and the streets full of markets. However this could just have been the drivers lack of local knowledge..

I will not recommend. Very old furnitures, low quality bedsheets. Even though the food was good ( mostly Indian menu) but the restaurant has limited hours.*The location of the hotel is in area prone for mosquitoes so be aware.* The staff very accommodating and nice but they can only do so much coz of situations outlined above.

Positive: Staff is very helpful. Location good. Near the city center, many restaurants around. Close to Kisutu and ferry. Room was good for this money, with comfortable and clean bathroom..

If you are a budget traveler this place is a little bit expensive for you, you can also find some better options just near by it. And they also provide you same facilities in half of the price which you paid for this.

The hotel is right in the busy street of Kariakoo. Staff are friendly and always there to help and assist. However the hotel does need some maintenance. The bedsheets are old and worn out and pillows are old.

I really wanted to like Iris Hotel because Mr. Saleh was responsive and accommodating. But, the 2 bedroom suite we stayed in was atrocious. Of the 3 air conditioners, only 1 worked. And that was blowing directly on the head of the person sleeping on the queen bed.One of the bathroom drains had an infestation of tiny moths, and the other bathroom did not have working lights. (We felt like we were in Fallout 4. ) The water pressure in the bathroom sink didnt work, so we had to brush in the kitchen sink. But under that sink were tiny roaches!There is a fridge and a cookstove. But there are no utensils to use or a table to eat on, so I dont know why its there.The beds had thin sheets. And maybe because we saw those bugs, it felt like there were tiny bugs biting us. None of us got to sleep that night.The least of our worries was the 6th floor elevator not working. We just had to go to the 5th floor to catch it.Alas, I wish I could say something nicer about this place but it is a never again for us.

Comfortable apartments but we did not have hot water for both the 2 days we were there. Very frustrating and management were not helpful at all.
