The original British Colonial Club, this restaurant is a perfect sunset spot. All cocktails are $5. We stayed for dinner and had delicious food. The Lobster was fresh and perfectly cooked.Beef biriyani was yummy. Our waitress was so lovely. Friendly and helpful. The perfect hostess.Prices are a bit higher than most places but you get what you pay for.
Go for the sunset, if youβd like. The prices are absurd (6900 TSh for a large bottle of water). Otherwise there are far cheaper places with sunset views nearby.
House with full of history. Good food but a bit pricey compared to the neighbors. Cocktails could be better, ours were too warm and no ice unless you asked. Service was friendly but a bit too βrelaxedβ to my taste. The view could not be better.
I went there to see the sunset and enjoy some Indian food.Chicken Briyani was great the rest was average and pricey!Drinks are average as well, the outdoor sitting area is great however it is very small and it gets crowded. The Service level is below average as waitresses, specially female waitresses are very rude and not friendly at all.Recommended for a group of friends and couples for having couple drinks.
I had such high hopes for this place. The view, the location and the managers welcome were all on point but my waiter seemed to be driven by bad time and customer service management. I had to call their attention to get the menu. When my drink was ready i could see it he literally left it for some minutes when i asked him about it he said its ready. I asked him if he expected me to go get it myselfπ.
Too expensive for the opportunity of meeting sunset while eating. You may find twice cheaper places at the Stone Town.Anyway the portions are quite big so be careful and dont order too much.
Go there for the history of the place, or the sunset. Not for the food or the prices (not the conversion rate to usd)
Abusive prices taking advantage of the tourists.Itβs a place to AVOID. All Tour Operators bring you here, do not let them take you to such a horrible place.
Met the sunset here. Awesome live music. Sincere and polite staff. Good fish. Highly recommendable!
Do you like watered down juice instead of the cocktail you ordered? Then this is the place for you! Iβm sure there are better sunset spots, but I wasted my one night in Stone Town on this place. I would highly suggest another bar.
The good: great view of the sunset and the park down below where the locals practice Capoeira. The bad: cocktails are poured short and the house wine seems to be Yellow Tail.Stick with beer and turn up before 17:30.
Staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming, basic English is lacking, view is decent but at the price of 8500tzs per beer I think 6degrees south wins by the throw of a Massaiβs knife
Overhyped place with expensive beer. You are paying only for the view.
Perfect place for a sundowner.
Reasonable price and good food. Staff are very friendly
Very delicious and lovely view the price is π
Restaurant quite large, you go to the first floor. Possibility to be inside, but also on the terrace overlooking the sea. Beautiful seats, in which they sat comfortably. We ordered soft drinks, see photos. Very refreshing. We waited a little longer for pizza, respectively, my wife got earlier and mine was only in 10 minutes, which is probably not usual. I watched her and when they brought mine, she had to wait for me again. But I noticed that this is probably the standard on Zanzibar. Sometimes you have to tell them twice where the order is. Otherwise great.
We visited the restaurant βThe Africa Houseβ, which has been praised by Guides in Ithaca and features Zanzibar-style interiors. Building in the very center of Stoune town. Really popular with tourists, possibly because a lot of people are afraid to risk eating in obscure eateries, where there is a chance of catching some intestinal infection.
We were there in the early afternoon and were disappointed! The location is great with a view of the sea, but the music was not good and too loud, the service was just ok, the range of drinks was moderate. We didnt eat anything that we ordered was out of stock. But there was Pepsi. The other guests were brought here by their guides ...
Pros: Everything is tasty, large portions, the price of a sea set for two is $ 35 (it is impossible to eat it together, it is very large), pleasant atmosphere, live music (which does not yell and you can communicate normally with the interlocutor). You can pay by card (but not via phone)Minu: this is the state of the toilet, of course it is better than in many establishments in this country, but still it does not shine with cleanliness. For this he took off 1 star
Great view, draft beer !!! Tandoori chicken π₯ very tasty. 2 cats sat down and the chicken was completely destroyed :)
Nice and good food but music that prevents you from talking
It is very expensive for not much ... And not very good in addition! To have the terrace view, there is much better and cheaper in Stone Town
Very nice terrace to watch the sunset having a drink. Perfect after a good kick from Stone Town.
Very expensive for what they give. We ordered two dishes: salad seafood and octopus with rice, and there was hardly any seafood or octopus. We returned the plates, expensive and little food. Also expensive and bad cocktails. The only good thing is live music.
I do not recommend, I waited 20 minutes for coffee and pizza pepperoni is a pizza with sausages on the knee instead of fluffy dough
Good bar. Beautiful view.
Very good dishes. Nice view of the sunset. Friendly staff
Super expensive drinks and not crazy serviceNice view
Great location by the seaIn addition to excellent
