Super location.Directly at the snowwhite Kiwengwa Beach.Very nice, clean and safe rooms.Yummy food, very friendly and attentive staff.Very good value for money. Will be back for sure.
Food and service are okay. The portions are a bit small for the price.
This is my first comment on a restaurant. I know that service industry is tough to keep consistency. However after waiting 1hour 20 minutes,we got the worst Jumbo Prawns we ever had (for $35!!) The white snapper was in best case mediocre. The owner was not even considering the criticism. Huge disappointment. Can only recommend not to try this place or if only just for French fries.
The food was not good at all. The fish was dry and the chips hard as stones. Probably cooked many times. Tragedy for big money. It is the shame to call it Italian cuisine.
Big portions, cheap prices but terrible taste!PROS1) friendly staff2) good menu variety although mostly Italian dishes not local cuisine3) very big sea food platter portion4) cheapest prices on this coastCONS1) it takes forever to get served2) over cooked sea food3) no taste, no sauces or spices. Off the grill as is served.4) they don’t accept credit cards like most restaurants hereI can’t see myself returning here in the coming nights.
Good service with cold beer... Chilled island vibes.
Along this beach, every restaurant has approximately the same menu so just pick another one. The food was a mix between ok and not great. They are also around 20% more expensive than most other places for no reason. On the positive side, the staff is nice, service is good and theres a bit of wifi.
Very beautiful place hotel 🏨 😍 👌 ❤
Good food and nice staff.I really liked the local food (The fish masala is delicious) and the salads. Weve been there several times and enjoyed every meal.
Nice place to eat and drink
Great food and wine.Funny mixture of Italian and local food.Definitely worth a visit.
I can not recommend this restaurant :-( meal without taste, bad service and incorect bill !!! Sorry, but never more....
Great rissoto with floor of soft sand and local music discs
Food with no taste. The worst restaurant in Kiwengwa. Never more.
Very tasty local food
Great Food Great service 👌
Very pleasant!
Chill place
The tropical dream that comes true. The rooms directly on the beach, the view of the Indian ocean from the window and the barefoot usher ... the friendly and efficient owners, the smiling and prepared staff, you immediately feel at home ... you eat well and yes drinks a good espresso… highly recommended.
Fell in love. We did not book the all-inclusive resort just to be able to try the various restaurants on the beach. The fluffy fish is one of the best, very good food at great prices. It is also fantastic to have lunch and at the same time observe the sea retreating or returning. Absolutely try basmati rice with octopus in coconut sauce
Good cafe. Delicious food and big portions. Cook for a long time 30-40 min. The service is more or less the same as for Zanzibar.I took one star for trying to add too much to the account - check the bill before paying. The second star for a bad exchange rate - if you pay in shillings, then the difference can reach 10-15% in relation to the dollar bill.
The portions are large, but the food itself and the service were not very pleasant to us. The neighboring cafe La base was more to our liking and the dishes were delicious
Very nice and cozy restaurant on the beautiful Kiwengwa beach. The owners are two nice Italian girls and the place is very welcoming and spacious. You eat well and at fair prices. There are also sun loungers on the beach, so you can safely eat and then take a dip in the beautiful Indian Ocean ... highly recommended!
Just great a little restaurant in a paradise. Great owner and staff.
Very bad experience in this restaurant, we waited 1h30 while we have children who were hungry. We had however ordered nothing very elaborate. We left without eating because its too long, no apologies from the bosses who were there to look at us without saying anything. Neither hello nor goodbye.Avoid this deception!
RUN AWAY !!!!!!!!We arrived at the restaurant at 1 p.m., order placed at 1:05 p.m. We waited until 2:20 p.m. with young children! No excuse for the wait, the bosses (a couple) do not even deign to speak to you, do not even calculate you despite the fact that they see the impatience of the children, that they were hungry. We left without eating because we werent treated like customers, not even a little bit of bread to keep our children waiting. And yet, on Zanzibar we are used to waiting but not so much! Also, Super Expensive!
We have been living in Zanzibar for a whole month, today, after a flight, we decided for some reason to change our usual cafes for dinner and went here.Everywhere we order seafood (catch of the day) with rice and so on.Therefore, there is something to compare. The squid was as hard as possible, barely cut with a knife. The rice is ok, but for the price of 25,000 shillings it is very expensive and not worth it.The guys are the owners of the restaurant, you are from Italy, you have one of the best cuisine in the world, we adore you! There is something for the chef to work on.For comparison, in the neighboring silt of Ponte 26,000 shillings and excellent squid with rice and vegetables (which is also important, it is served everywhere on the island and complements dinner very much) there are no complaints for such a price, although the average price is for 15-20 shillings.Im a little frustrated, I dont like to write negative reviews, but as a colleague I think that negative feedback is something to work with, its growth and improvement.
The best place on kiwenga. Large and very tasty portions.
The squid is terrible. Fish with rice is just normal, for such a price its bad. Its just not worth it.Very bad squid, fish is ok, but price is expensive.
Very sad! Super overcooked spaghetti broken like for small children, wait for 1 hour and a half. We tried fish carbonara and we didnt really like it, the rice was decent. We will not return.
Delicious food. The burgers and chicken leg dishes are delicious. The location is good as it is right in front of the sea.Waited about 50 minutes for food. The price was around 28000 shillings. It was kind, delicious, and the music they played was good. The stars in the night sky were wonderful.
High expectation, actually a real disappointment ... we waited for the dishes more than 1 hour despite there being only 3 other couples, a plate of rice and prawns (practically white with 5 prawns) and one of spaghetti (scotti) with lobster , water and beer 50 € ... a real steal considering the prices in Zanzibar! Never again....
Kindness, freshness and cleanliness. Location on the sea. The fish is fresh, the service is accurate. With Silvia and Afis its like staying at home. Try it, you will be satisfied.
Great place to eat for both lunch and dinner, great prices and the very young and fantastic owners Alice and Betta. Really recommended. !!!!
Spectacular place and food, eat in view of the sea with the kindness and simplicity of the owners Alice and Betta, 100% recommended. It feels at home
Best beach restaurant in Kiwenga. Have eaten there 4 times, always very tasty, good to look at and attentive waiters. Even helped me remove the sea urchin spines from my foot
Nice location, superior to those of similar places, but high prices for the average. It is worth going to simpler, less touristy places
Conversion rate from dollars to shillings not correct, why only indicate the price list in dollars?
High prices for regular food
Some well-made dishes, fish soup, poor cooking of the grill (overcooked) even if the fish was fresh
The carbonara fish pasta is very good
Nice place and quick service
Always number 1
