I ordered a cheeseburger but the bread was dry. But I was very hungry so I didnt care about it. The chips were a lot and good. Passion fruit juice was very good. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Delicious food, big portions, reasonable prices and very nice staff. We tried noodles with sea food, pasta with beef, chicken curry, octopus curry, calamari curry, everything was so delicious. And we tried peanut butter chocolate banana milkshake and it was just amazing!

I highly recommend this place if you are in Nungwi. The staff is very friendly and the menu has a great variety of options including vegetarian, seafood, and other options including chicken and beef. The prices are really fair and food is very delicious! I had a smoothie and the veggie Sambosa with fries. I’ll have to go back to try even more!

Ordered a beef burger and it was not fresh at all. The bun was hard, the patty very dry, with no sauce at all. The milkshake also tasted strange and had come through mainly for that.Overall the food here doesn’t taste good and is way below average and you are pretty much sharing your meal with crowd of flies everywhereBut the prices are fair so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Very dusty, food was bad and a personal request not to use an ingredient was ignored. Also most of the time you will be swatting flies away. Then when I payed with my phone, the cashier said that money didn’t go to his account, while it was subtracted from mine - following a 15 minute dispute where it was suggested I pay twice (and wait for my bank to refund), they did accept that in case bank doesn’t refund, I would come back and pay in the end. So if you do decide to attend - pay cash to save the trouble. There are better places to enjoy food in this area.

Prices are very good! Very big portions 👍🏽. The grilled octopus and calamari are very good, the noodles was extremely peppery and tasteless, but overall this is a cheap place to eat if you want to be full.

I mean, the food is really good, big portions as well, what I loved were the smoothies and juices❤️ wed been there 4 times and everytime we waited 40+ minutes for the food, so be prepared to wait some time. Its almost always full. But for the big portions really good prices.

It surprises me that this place has got so many good reviews. We went there yesterday because we heard they had veggie options and as vegetarians in Nungwi especially it can be super hard to find quality vegetarian food. We ordered two veggie burgers and they were the worst burgers we ever had. Dry, tasteless and didn’t seem fresh at all! The fries was more fried than potatoes. The place seemed dirty, it was really annoying with so many people smoking around you and the fans blowing the smoke at you while eating. Especially the kitchen (which was saw as we were inside paying) was one big mess and seemed super gross and not clean! The worst thing was that I’ve got a food poisoning after eating there which kind o ruined the rest of our vacation. I don’t NOT recommend anyone to go there. Not worth it !!

Chicken wrap was disgusting, especially the chicken looked awful. Friends had the tuna steak and squid curry, both was horrible as well. Staff was nice, probably staff is more delicious than the food.

Our favorite in Nungwi - we went there 4 times :) it’s a very short walk from most hotels and from the beach. The staff is very friendly and nice, it’s absolutely DELICIOUS and it is much cheaper than the beach restaurants. Their juices are also fantastic. 100% recommended :)

I had a lot of expectations, because I always saw beautiful dishes go by, but unfortunately I was not lucky. The mixed fish in my fajita was clearly not fresh and I thought the odd flavor was given by the cheese (which wasnt stated on the menu), but today Im so bad that I understand that the whole dish was the problem. you should be more careful what you serve as I cant even go to work today! in every way very varied menu, friendly staff, fair prices and a nice place.

I would not recommend the grilled octopus- it was like chewing gum :/ salad on the sice was really good, also the octopus tasted good - but like chewing gum :/

Weve tried something sweet and the crepes were delicious! The prices are very different of the touristic restaurants because is not in the beach (a huge difference just with 3 min. walking away from the beach), but totally worth it even without the view. For tourists who are not able to afford a 10$ (if not more) for every meal, just go there and try it! 😄 Im sorry about the half crepe pic, I forgot to take a picture before I start 😅

I think this is the best restaurant in Nungwi:- Very good juices (made from real fruit)- food is very good too (especially the burgers, the fachitas, the curry and the fruit salat)- Very nice people- a great atmosphere- very cheap (half of what you pay in other restaurants around here)

Slow, slow service. Drinks 45 min. Food 1:30. No alcoholic beverages. Food was good. Very much dust. Cannot recomend.

I liked the portion of the food. It was quite enough unlike other beach restaurants. Food quality was surprisingly better too. But the only thing is it’s by the road, very dusty, so we moved inside. Not dusty but noisy from the blender. You can see bunch of cows walking on the road from time to time 😂

Great little cafe restaurant serving everything from beef burgers to grilled seafood. The quality of the fish was for and they knew how to cook it well. We ate there a couple of times and wasnt disappointed. Prices were very reasonable and the service was good.

Very friendly service but very pole pole, waited nearly 30mins for a smoothie and an hour for the food but its very cheap, big portions and very tasty!Bring your own booze and if youre not in a rush its great! Definitely recommend, plus there is a cat with her kittens you can play with!

Relaxed setting in the town Square of Nungwi. Very generous portions at the best prices we have experienced in Zanzibar so far. Food and drinks do take quite a while to get to the table, but thats pretty common everywhere on the Island. It does get very busy as its cheap and tasty, so we went at unconventional dinner times and usually found a table. Qould definitely recommend!

Delicious and flavorful food with great prices. The waitress was very sweet and location was comfortable, the only downside is the amount of time it takes them to serve the food.. better to order everything, lunch/dinner and desert, at the same time. But if you have the time, highly recommended!

Had an early dinner this Saturday evening. I like the location right by the football field where the young men were playing. I ordered a seafood curry with French fries. Not bad. The fruit cocktail juice was wonderful and the staff superb

We stayed in Nungwi for 2 days and came here 3 times. Food is good, prices are good, staff friendly, friendly cat walking around. Only issue is no toilet and sometimes the food takes a little long if the place is packed. But overall really liked it.

Best food I’ve eaten on Zanzibar with very reasonable prices. The only turn down is a slow service. But its worth waiting for almost an hour for avocado&mango salad.

The best hot chocolate Ive ever had and really tasty food. Clean and fast service.

Well the service is low, even by Hakuna Matata standards. We waited 70 min for the food and when it arrived one of the dishes was forgotten. No apologies were exchanged and no one came out from the cafe to tell us that they missed it. Same was with the drinks, the served two of them and after when asked about the others they said yes and went inside, 10 min later when we go in and ask for the drink we get offered to go and fetch it and serve our self. Finally when the last meal arrived the placed it inside and did not tell us it was done, we had to go in and ask for it before we got it.Besides this, the food is very average, definitely not worth a visit. The one good point with the place is that they take card. Will not visit again.

Veeery slow service, even for slow motion Zanzibar standards. Prepare to wait at least an hour (when its not busy!). Its next to a very dusty road and the food is just average. They use paper straws though.

I visited this institution 3 times, I didn’t really like the soup with seafood, but the Pasta with octopus and Stir fry with vegetables and octopus were delicious, the octopus is well cooked, the portions are large and the dishes are about two times cheaper than in any cafe on the waterfront . I didn’t really like fresh juices from mono-products, sometimes sour, sometimes tasteless, but, perhaps, if you ask them to be combined from several types of fruits, it will be delicious.

An excellent cafe, the main advantage is prepared very quickly, on the first day of arrival we were in another cafe and waited 1.5 hours, which is the norm for Zanzibar. The rest of the days we decided to go to M&J - primarily because of the speed, once the light in the village went out, our order was still brought in 15 minutes, which made me very happy. On vacation, you dont want to spend a lot of time waiting. The second advantage is the price is cheaper and the portions are huge. Delicious smoothies, burgers. There were no questions about the quality of food, no one was poisoned, everything is fresh. I sincerely wish the establishment good clients and more orders.

We ordered fried fish, and grilled squid - the fish was not written what kind, but I thought it would be delicious, but they brought tuna, which is very tough and very hard to eat. The best restaurant in the area. It does not serve alcohol, but excellent juices. Good noodles and Samosa. Generous portions and ridiculous prices for a far higher quality than more famous restaurants. The location is not the best but the always full restaurant is synonymous with quality.

Friendly staff and great food! Notice to big appetites, you will have beautiful dishes! Excellent price / quality ratio. The only downside is the ice cream. We fell in love with the pineapple juice which is a delight 😍

Awful place! We ordered fried shrimps, first they brought them half-baked, asked to finish cooking, as a result, 1 of 4 shrimps turned out to be spoiled, and it was difficult to overlook it.
