My wife & I had an excellent experience. All the hotel staff were so friendly. They also arranged a spice tour, city tour and a boat ride to prison island. The food at the hotel was very good too. The location is on the beach too. The room was clean had air conditioning. There was a mosquito net on the bed also but we didnt need it.

An amazing feel of a rustic jungle area close to beach. Employees were awesome and hospitable, great service, bfast was fantastic. Not really much to complain about. Pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommend

Everything about this hotel is just superb.;the ambious, breakfast is very fantastic... Rooms are very artistic and ever fresh with wide space. Cozy beds and good customer service. Shall visit again.

Its not the best in the world, but coming from a western country. Staying here at Zanzibar Ocean View was magnificent. A lot of trees and so quite. Could get loud when conferences are happening. But the VIP room is pretty much on the beach. WHAT MORE TO ASK FOR WHEN YOU CAN SEE THE PERFECT SUNSET AND THE SMELL OF THE FRESH OCEAN BREEZE.

Staying here only for a two nights due to postponed flight - pretty good place as for 3*

Its ok if you just want a roof over your head and some food as you swim in the ocean in Zanzibar but there are better locations.PROS: Friendly staff, good location to see the ocean, clean beach, clean rooms and towels, food that is available is good and sometimes a working WIFI link. Not too expensive.CONS: No swimming pool, WiFi is intermittent and was not available in my room, no safe in the room and not all the rooms have a clear view of the ocean. Breakfast started late for me at 7.30am.TIPS: insist on a sea facing room as there are some with good views. Conference rooms are ok but insist on working Internet or 3G modems (Vodacom worked ok) otherwise what is available in the hotel will dissapoint you.

Horrible do NOT STAY HEREUnfriendly staff very run down hotel. Very depressing!! Stayed there with friends out of 3 room in 2 the showers were not working. Seemed to be the only people there . VERY DEPRESSING HOTEL!!!!

This hotel is an excelent reminder of the paradice that is zanzibar, from its maze like structure it desplays the astounding views and scenery of the coast. The service is excelent and the food is even better. This is a must go place when in zanzibar
