Its nice hotel and nice place for visit
The hotel location is excellent, the staff are very friendly, the person that assisted me was Jummah, he was very friendly and attended to all my needs, breakfast was on the roof terrace and was limited to fruits l, tea/coffee cereals egg/omelet, fresh juice and some cakes. The staff were very accommodating storing my cooler bag in their freezer, the room were clean but a bit dated, bathrooms were a 5/10, the rooms were big and beds were comfortable, linen was clean as well. Our room was on the second floor, there is no lift in the building but I dont think any of the buildings have lifts. I would give our experience a 7/10 and given the opportunity will return for a secind stay
Pros: clean room, nice bathroom (albeit limited warm water), AC works great. Breakfast ($5) served on the rooftop is simple but very good. The manager was also extremely helpful getting me set up with affordable tours and excursions. Great service.Cons:WiFi is very spotty and the woman at the front desk couldnt remember the password to the network that worked on my floor. Ended up using mobile data. Amenities are quite limited (just a bar of soap in the bathroom). They dont serve alcohol which is a shame as a night cap on their rooftop would be awesome.Overall, affordable, clean, friendly staff but missing a few niceties.
The place smells bad!The whole place needs renovation!looks good on photos but reality is actually disgusting and very disappointing.Prepare your back for terrible sleep.Take towels(doubt ever been wash)Unfriendly staff, which it made my stay very unwelcome!I make surely spent the minimum time in that sh..whole!I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay! The 1 thing is good is location!but plenty of better accommodation in stone Town for better value!
Why isn’t this the top hotel in Stone Town? It is fantastic! Every part of this place exudes history and you feel like you’ve stepped back into true Zanzibar upon entry. You e got everything you need: air conditioning, comfortable beds and pillows, fans, hot water, spacious bathrooms, etc. just for that it’s excellent. But add in the hardwood floors, the amazing wooden staircases and beautiful glass windows throughout, and combine that with the price (how is this such a deal?!), I can’t say enough. On the way into stone town we stayed at a different place - on the way out, here. I wish we would have been at both both nights. Fantastic and unbelievable!
This place was a saviour when we were not getting any other place to stay .
Very friendly staff, clean rooms, perfect location. the Hotel and its furniture is old, but it feels very authentic. Good value for money
A very homely environment hotel and very kind and wonderful staff, enjoyed our stay!
Family building turned into hotel. Unique with its original wooden interior design.and affordable
A nice place to be while Unguja
Good hotel on good location
Good accommodation
The first room was absolutely nothing. The air conditioning was running water, the cistern of the toilet was empty. An employee of the hotel turned the water back on, then the cistern worked, but it ran out overnight and flooded the bathroom. We then received a new room. This was nice, but there was no hot water. The breakfast was really bad. The views and location were good, the staff friendly.
Great place great staff and s super cozy
Great hotel, perfect location in the best part of town. The hotel is clean, the rooms are large and comfortable, the staff is great and the breakfast is complete and very good.Do not hesitate and book at abuso inn
In an excellent location in Stone Town, the rooms are spacious, some mattresses a bit musty, the breakfast buffet is good, the staff is very kind.
Hotel that I do not recommend, dilapidated and unpleasant odors in the room from the bathroom, bad experience.
Hotel in the center of town, helpful staff, comfortable apartments and the owner is always there to help
Essential, courteous staff, good location.
