I had my breakfast almost every day in this place.. the breakfast was delicious.. the staff were nice.. and the cafe has a nice view of the ocean.

This place is great!! Its by the water near the farodhani garden & floating cafe. Sunsets near here are lovely too. Their staff are friendly & welcoming, They shoo the cats away so that we can sit without being pestered by them. Inititally we only ordered drinks & ice-cream. Their iced-coffee was amazing! We saw them serving other customers food & it looked so good that we ordered as well. The food was great however they took absolutely AGES!Tip: I would not advise it if you have a plane or ferry to catch!! We waited almost an hour & were planning to wait 15 more minutes then leave. Thankfully the food came on time, we enjoyed the delicious meal & had enough time to get to the ferry. The ferry port is around a 5min walk from Zenji cafe.

After coming to this cafe a few times, the sweet front of the house women began to recognize me! They are professionally quite and polite, very good at their jobs. The chocolate ice cream is amazing! The chocolate ice cream coffee is amazing as well. Cannot wait to try the food.

Perfect place to relax, pop in for very good coffee, have a cake, fresh juice or best ice cream in town (and other stuff, of course)Cats are annoying but thats the problem at all outdoor places serving food and drinks.Prices are also reasonable if not low for a place with placed in such a great spot.

Good location and prices and fast service compared to others.It has fresh fruits and various mixed juices.

They serve fresh always well-cooked food and drinks at Zenji for a fairly honest price.Unlike the food stalls guys nearby who would rip you off and sell you poorly cooked long-expired food that will give you a food poisoning with 95% chance. If you want sea food, get it at Zenji not from those crooks dressed as cooks.

It serves the signature Tangawizi (ginger hot drink) which is perfectly made. Mix with mint and honey.

Good food, but the serving speed is typically relaxed for these parts of the world. Prices are ok and staff is very friendly.

Very nice food (try the shakes.. Theyre devine!) Decently priced AND environmental awareness.. Theyre switching to bamboo straws :-D

We have a house on Zanzibar and are often in Stone Town and have sat here several times in the past few years. The view is very nice. The cafe is fine. The food was enjoyable, nothing more. It just takes a long time. Yesterday at noon we were there too, I ordered a cafe and my wife asked (against payment) for some hot water to brew tea because she had a bit of stomach problems. There were two other guests present. The staff in the kitchen had nothing to work and sat around bored. Even after several inquiries (my wife comes from Zansibar) the staff was not able to make some hot water.Its very embarrassing and service is really different. Youll never see us there again. I can only recommend avoiding this place.

The scenery is good, especially in the evening, there are all kinds of snacks, lined with the dawn of the sunset, people are lingering.
