Never again. I got stolen 250 Euro in my locked room. I would never recommend this hotel. The hotel is located at the beach and at a very busy and crowded street. We immediately had an uneasy feel staying there. The room had no working air conditioning working wifi and the room was not what we expected from the photos. The room is not as light as they presented in the picture of the website.We didn’t had any privatize because all rooms are so close together.We couldn’t stay one night there so we change our hotel immediately.The restaurant at the hotel Unfriendly and the price a expensive. The people around the hotel are loud and drunk. I courage no one visit the hotel.

The bathroom is not clean and there is nearly no water coming to wash properly. The AC was broken and there were no beach towels available for us. The prices at the restaurant and for laundry services are way too overcharged. And the restaurant staff is not even coming, when we ask them to take our orders. We were very disappointed and decided to switch hotel after one night.

Amazing location, perfect restaurant and bar, you must to taste their draft beer. Location , cant describe, the Best beach in Zanzibar 5 mt away from your room. We love the place, thanks team. ZaVa is the Best.

Worst place ever! Never again! The rooms are super old, the sheets and towels are full of stains and they are so old that it is disgusting to use them! There is barely water coming out of the shower or the tap. The aircon was not working and there is no privacy as the rooms are so close to each other. They also promised us beach towels which we never got and at night weird people were knocking at our door which was very scary. The staff at the restaurant is super unfriendly and the food is terrible and overpriced. This place really destroy your holiday

We fully recommend! Nungwi is the best place for bathing! All Bungalows are beachfront, sunbeds for guests available free! Very clean And comfortable rooms with quiet Aircon, cleaning every day. Staf was very kind and helpful all the time! It was realy pleasure to stay There!

Staff are amazing and couldnt do more to help but unfortunately they are let down by the location of the hotel and some basic issues. Do no stay here if you want a good nights sleep. We paid for 4 nights but ended up checking out on day 3 as the noise at night from local bars/clubs/people in general makes it impossible to sleep. We didnt sleep for 3 nights in a row and it really ruined our stay in Nungwi. The beds are extremely uncomfortable with the mattresses needing to be replaced. House cleaning is great and all staff extremely helpful. Breakfast is too basic and poor customer service from the restaurant staff accross the way where it is served. This is on the lower budget for hotels but still aint cheap and I wouldnt consider it good value for money

Charged without authorisation. Forced into the booking. And when I tried to change the dates they made the booking conditions non-changeable despite trying to contact them for several days.

Very clean place, very close to the best beaches and restaurants, the room has aircon and a fan....however, the room, mattress, pillows are all very basic. I wouldnt recommend it if you have young kids, or if you prefer some kind of comfort.

A basic guesthouse with most amenities. The dont have a kitchen and there use the restaurant across the road for breakfast was is very very very very basic. Its close to the beach and they offer the services of a lady who does henna, massages, nail services (basic). The staff was helpful and they wash a laundry bag full of clothes (no underwear) for $10 included a pic of the bag. You need a day at least since they hang it out in the sun.In the evenings they offer turn down services where they spray for mosquito and pull the nets. The room has ac and fan and found I had to use both as the ac wasnt very effective.So great location, basic amenities, helpful staff.

We stumbled upon this small hotel, extremely well located, 20 meters from the beach and amenities. The staff is just at the top, and very caring for its customers, we also thank shaffi who brightened up our stay. Only regret, not to have stayed longer there.Alexander and Sarah.

Very nice location…. But…. Very poor service at the bar on the beach. Badly motivated staff. It takes 30 minutes for three long drinks, but nothing was going on in the restaurant. Then just ask several times ... But then complain about the lack of tourists. Its a shame because the place is great !!

We had booked 3 nights on Booking with 1 month in advance because it seemed to us that Nungwi was full on these dates. We arrived around midnight and unfortunately too late to find that the room had nothing to do with the photos on the site. The room was in a terrible state, without windows (small openings), strong musty smell, not maintained (see photos), not a bottle of water, all this for over 200 euros per night.We tried to leave the next day but the manager refused the cancellation after making us wait all day. We left on the second day even though we had paid for three. It is clearly a scam, do not take this hotel, even at the last minute many rooms become available the same day in Nungwi. The worst thing is that the hotelier cashed the money and canceled our reservation on the site so we cannot leave a comment on the Booking site. Moreover, the advantageous taxi service they offer is also very funny ($50 from the airport while the opposite direction cost us $30 with another hotel)This room is not worth more than $40 there are much much better elsewhere on the beach and for less, dont be fooled.

Small but very atmospheric hotel! Very friendly hosts who put their whole soul into this place. The staff is ready to help in everything and at any time of the day. And just a chic restaurant with its own specialties and cocktails. I recommend and I will be back. I also want to add that we return again and again and the place is getting more and more beautiful. And now a DJ plays in the restaurant on Mondays and Thursdays.

We really liked it here. Mini hotel, very well maintained, pleasant courtyard. Rooms are cleaned 2 times a day. The location is perfect - very close to the sea, but the windows also do not overlook the beach, you can sit in the shade outside the room. Air conditioning and refrigerators are everywhere. The staff is very friendly, the manager Denis is from Moscow and will help with everything. There is no TV or radio, but you can take a break from them. Rating Excellent.

We thought to stay here for a couple of days, look around, and then change the location. Bottom line, we stayed there all 11 days. Believe me, we ran and saw the good 4s ... they are not worth their money. The most beautiful thing here is the ocean, which is 30 seconds walk from the hotel! And the hotel itself meets all the necessary requirements: cozy, comfortable beds, clean, cleaned every day, towels are changed on request, air conditioning and hot water without interruption. Very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The ability to return to your room at any time on the beach does its job, especially if you are with children))) Nearby are wonderful cafes where you can eat, all are very tasty (dont judge by the breakfast included). Shops and various shops within minutes.

We arrived in Nungwi and went to look for a guest house that would be close to the sea, cozy and inviting. Then we came to Zava! The amazing Shafi received us with an inviting smile and with open arms = we fell in love straight away! A unique guesthouse! We arrived the next day in an amazingly decorated room in honor of our honeymoon !! The place is really close to the best beach in the area and in general to all the good restaurants! Great breakfast! (Fruit smoothie to choose from, coffee, fruit tray and breakfast to order), the guesthouses restaurant is excellent (recommended dishes are the noodles, fish sticks, salad mix), clean the room twice a day, charming room, spacious, hot water all the time and strong current, place Beautiful with hammocks, comfortable beds on the beach, sun terrace for every room .. and the staff .. wow !! This sweet Shafi is something special !! Helped us with everything we asked for (even when ordering a corona test for the place and attractions), gave us a homely feeling and a warm and enveloping atmosphere. The waitress City made for me all the weird adjustments I asked for for breakfast, was wonderfully sweet and helpful. We planned to stay in the north for 3-4 days and thanks to all this we gave up the southeast of the island and stayed another 4 days, until the end of the trip. Thanks for everything Shafi and the rest of the staff !!
