I can not say enough about how amazing Warere Beach Hotel is! My Husband and I stayed here for 5 nights on our Honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. The views from our ocean front room were breathtaking! Laying in bed every night listening to the waves crash against the beach and rocks below was so relaxing. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise and crystal clear blue water. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We cant stop thriving about how amazing this property is! The food at the hotel is delicious. Its on the quiet side of Nungwi, but easily walkable to town and restaurants and bars. Honestly, we ate at the hotel each day because the service was impeccable and food delicious!

This has got to be the best place in the whole of Nungwi. Perfect place to find rest and relaxation. Very clean, staff are cool, management is top tier. Restaurant has good food and for those who drink, the bar is stocked. Get the sea front rooms and hear the waves crash against to rocks. Its simply magical.

No option to respond. We were not showed the cc footage or the mention of it.now I wonder why u did not show us if u have it? Told u devices we were in the handbags left in the room not big bags. Your staff didnt get his name but short and not darkish the one who assisted with the bags said the police station is far and they take long. Asked manager what will happen if we write the statement said they will just investigate. Asked if we will be compensated said no. No1 said anything about insurance. We are on holiday didnt make sense for us to waste so much time just for an investigation. She even said they will just invistigate just like in SA. Never threatened anyone we made a promise of writing a review of our experience which sadly happens to be A bad one. Paid most before arrival. Refused to pay for the other coz we didnt understand what we paying for? For us to pay for new devices?? Money is not a problem as we paid in full but value for money is important to us. When u saw we left something why didnt you email us and inform us about it?

Nice hotel that is perfect if you’re coming to nungwi to relax and nothing more. A bit isolated from all activities and you need a taxi to get anywhere.

This hotel was absolutely stunning. The first thing to highlight is the beautiful view that surprises you at the reception. We had the seafront room and the landscape from our window was magical. When laying in bed, you can clearly hear the sound of the waves and that’s very relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, we always had electricity and hot water, the WiFi works well and we were given a big bottle of water everyday. The staff was really nice and helpful, and the whole hotel was always clean. The owner of the hotel, Shauna, is extremely nice and helped us out a lot during both our reservation phase and our stay. Breakfast was very complete, they had whatever you might want (omelettes, crêpes, milk, cereals, bread, cake, fresh juice, etc.). The pool area is well organized with a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach right in front of the hotel is a bit rocky, but if you walk only two minutes you can reach a more accessible spot. The place is super quiet, there aren’t too many tourists (like in the western part of Nungwi and Kendwa) or beach boys. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to see the beautiful sea of Nungwi but without being in the middle of a crowd.

I was staying in Arusha doing a medical internship and decided to come stay a couple of nights in zanzibar. I found this hotel and LOVED it. As a young female staying here i felt safe and taken care of. Their rooms are beautiful, their food is great, the beach was amazing and it was just a short walk from restaurants and stuff. 10/10 recommend!!!

This review is for the beach, NOT the hotel. Beach hotel has another spot.Beach is not great. Water is not clear and you cant really see where youre stepping. Tides hit the beach also a lot. Sand is great, but youd have first to deal with the hello rafiki guys, who approach you and want to sell you tours.

Great disappointment. Service was ok not the best with the heart to serve guests. With the price I paid I expected more like a shower gel, towels to be ready when checking in at 6pm, working shower head, and faster internet. The receptionist helped me to sort out those problems the next day which was good. The check out time is crazy, 10am at the morning! I just can’t suggest staying here

We extended our two-day stay in Warere to four; definitely a dreamy place! Private beach and beautiful room with ocean view. All the services (restaurant, cocktails bar, spa) are of very high level, with kind personnel all around.Absolutely recommended!

Wonderful hotel located on a quiet stretch of the east side beach in Nungwi, Zanzibar.The rooms are clean. Staff is kind and helpful. The grounds are well kept.The food offered in the restaurant is pretty good, although on the expensive side when compared to other restaurants in the area.The breakfast is plentiful and varied. Everyday the breakfast buffet has some different dishes, so a guest staying for longer than a few days will not have to get bored of the food.An excellent place to come and relax.

Very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Staff always polite. Cleaning was very good. Rooms are nice (the only thing here is the design that the bathroom and bedroom are not fully separated means the wall does not go all the way to the roof and has a big gap...) Take a beachfront room... A bit more expensive but worth! All rooms have Seaview. Pool is ok. Food is nice but please organize that you have whole grilled fish. Breakfast... well not great but not bad. Limited.The sea is gorgeous... Astonishing. Walk right to the sandbanks... Amazing. Will surely come back and enjoy some more days.

Nice, comfortable place. Some cottages and rooms have an amazing sea view. Restaurant is quite decent with many food options. But beware that sometimes it is slow and service might take time. Grilled tuna dishes are highly recommended. Breakfast was good enough for us, always with lots of fruits. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Shower was working well.Some rooms in the main building are very small. Cottages are large enough. WiFi didnt work everywhere. Sun deck chairs near the pool are immediately occupied by hotel guests, especially the ones in the shade. We thought a bit more umbrellas are necessary in the pool side to provide more shade. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Warere beach.

I enjoy my time here. Only a few tips thou. Always check your final bills. Try to skip on their food. Take the massage offer. Get to the pool early for better seats.Best thing I would say is you wont be bored by salesmen on the beach. We went to the other side by the DoubleTree. From the moment we get there to the moment we left, there are sales pitch either on kite flying to tours to sea fish.Staffs are super friendly here. We were a bit early to our check in even after being stop by the friendly Zanzibar police. This place is harder to get to on foot and the road is super harsh and filled with rocks. Driving fast and furious isnt advised.Beach time is limited to the tide hours about 2 to 3 hours per day. They do have a pool here. For a good beach experience, I would advice the other side of the town but if you are here to experience other things, it wouldnt matter.

The best place to stay in Northern part of Zanzibar and one of the loveliest places in East Africa.

The beach hotel is about 1-1.5 hours drive from the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. I would advise you to get to Zanzibar in the morning so that you can arrive at the hotel before noon. I understand there is another branch of the hotel inside the town. At the time of writing this review, Uber was not available in Zanzibar but airport transfers organized by the hotel will cost you about $50 one way - plus the drivers are very warm and helpful.The hotel staff is pretty warm apart from the pool attendant who was quite rough around the edges (our experience could be an isolated incident). The hotel rooms have been designed quite well as you will see from the pictures with easy access to the pool and beach. Not sure if this is standard but our room had one king and one queen size bed. They have one ceiling fan and an AC to help you keep the room cool as temperatures sometimes soar to over 30 degrees Celsius. Wi-fi is available although hardly accessible from the room (maybe because our villa was closer to the ocean front). If you need to do any important work, you might need to do it from the dining area or lounge near the bed. They have a day bed and hammocks near the bar that you can relax on.An average meal will cost you between $13-45 excluding drinks. The food was quite underwhelming considering the fact that the best meal we had was at a hotel/kiosk outside Warere. The hotel will also organize a range of activities for you if you want at an extra cost ranging between ($15-140) depending on if you are alone or in a group. Overall this was an average experience for us considering that if you paid the same amount of money in Kenya, youd have gotten much more value for your money. My honest opinion is that will need to spice things up if at all they intend to maintain those prices!

We had a problem: booking have vanceked our booking without our autorization. The manager came from Stone Town to solve the problem. In the end she gave us 2 nights in the room we booked, 3 nights in a more simple room, and 4 nights in the best room (sea view) on the price of the normal room (120$).All the workers are very atentions and alleays smile. They are allways there to help you even with things that arent related to the hotel (we needed a new cellphone charger and Marry help us very much!)

Very warm welcome, we were a group of 5 people and we spent 9 days in this establishment which is just magnificent. A caring staff, we thank Adelina, Shafnoon, the cook (the best), our little Swahili (doctor) and all those I have not mentioned. The meals are diverse and varied, very nice location. The beach is beautiful and the hotel is calm and friendly. We will definitely come back.

Its so beautiful there. The breakfast was really perfect, the area was very well maintained.Unfortunately, the ACs are incorrectly installed, so that there is constant noise on the balcony. Otherwise everything was perfect.

We were disappointed with the location of the hotel which is very far from the city center. To be able to go out at night you have to take a taxi ... Also, our room was not really clean. I find the price to be high for what it is when I compare to other hotels. I still put two stars for the view and the pool.

The breakfast is plentiful, the restaurant offers good local cuisine (we have not tasted the Western dishes, uninteresting on vacation abroad ^^)We had room 10 sea view which corresponds more to a pool view with a glimpse of the sea, lets be clear.Big positive point: the panorama of the Indian Ocean with high tide VS low tide and therefore landscapes and colors that change all day long. The extra clean pool. The restaurant and cocktail bar.Negative point: difficult access, need for a taxi for all trips. Room much less pretty than in the photo. Also, some of the staff are not always the most welcoming.Point of attention: wear water shoes for swimming because there are a lot of sea urchins (this is the case on almost the entire island)

This hotel is intended to be of a 4 star level but is more like a 3 star. The service is disappointing. The bedroom is very small, no fridge, the curtain rod falls as soon as you pull the curtain, the toilet bowl is broken, the bedding is not comfortable at all. However, there is a kettle and coffee, tea and sugar in the room. Only one bottle of water on arrival and then nothing more the rest of the stay. The garden view is actually a view of the barracks (the hotel linen is hung there too) and a parking lot.If you are looking for a peaceful and restful place, forget it. The alarm clock is at 6 am when you are in where near the main building. The restaurant prepares very early, we can hear the employees speaking very well, the chairs drawn, the dishes, the mixer. The music is on at 7 a.m. So the rooms above the restaurant and the bungalows that are close by are to be avoided. Prefer those that are close to the sea.The restaurant is good. The dishes are correct. The chef is a priori Spanish. The restaurant servers are very friendly. For the pool bar ... you annoy them if you order a drink after 19:00 (they close).Breakfast is very good. You have the choice.The hotel is out of the way and to access the village you have to go through a rather gloomy area.Finally on this side, you do not have the sunset, or you have to go to the hotel next door which has a rooftop.I do not recommend this hotel except for the view (but you can have it in other hotels as well).The hotel’s response is just overwhelming and deceptive. I dont know what they are talking about. I had no partner and even less argument with this imaginary partner: I believe you booked a single room, which is meant to be for one person, and arrived with your partner. You and your partner fought the entire time you were at the hotel to the point we were thinking to call the police. ”The room is tiny and not properly equipped even for 1 person. You have to admit it and take note. Inventing a story to clear customs is again not the level of a 4 star Im sorry. Having a partner in this room is technically impossible.

A great place to stay. You can swim and sunbathe, you can choose the entrance to the sea as it is more convenient for you to have a shallow, as well as deeper places. Depending on the tide. You can walk freely along the beach in any direction (only at low tide). Rooms are spacious, comfortable, hot and cold water. They feed well to eat dairy, meat, fish dishes, side dishes, fruits.

Very nice quiet, green and well-kept area with nice service, good food and delicious drinks. Access to the beach, which you can still enjoy alone and without beach boys. Further along the beach, interesting rock formations with inclusions of shells and corals can be discovered.

Very good value for money hotel, the service is very friendly (but not very responsive at the reception when it comes to booking a restaurant...), the bungalows are very correct, the swimming pool pleasant with beautiful trees for s to shelter from the sun, the beach small because it is the side of Zanzibar where the tide is strong and the rocks numerous but very beautiful for walks in the morning at low tide, the restaurant is modest but very good.We will come back with pleasure.
