Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!I was traveling with 2 friends in Zanzibar in September 2019.We had a wonderful time at Kipepeo Backpackers.Simple, but very beautiful rooms. It feels like sleeping in the nature, because you can hear the sound of the nature while you are in the bed.Also nice toilet and shower:)The location is very good. In less then 3 minutes walk you are at the beach. The best thing: You can just walk left (direction west) and you will catch up all the busy, but nice beaches from Nungwi. And if you walk right (direction East) you will find all the beautiful, lonely beaches and even amazing sandbanks.Shedrock (the owner) and his team are one of the most friendly people I have met during my time in Zanzibar.If you need any recommendations or local tipps, just ask him. Kipepeo is a lovely and affordable place to stay in Nungwi. The huts are complety build out of natural materials and are simply beautiful to sleep in, toilets and showers are clean.A short 5 minute walk takes you to awsome, white beaches or you can have a walk through the local village and experience the local way of living.The owner Shedrock is a lovely host and will assist you in every imaginable way. He truly cares for his guests and can give you a lot of insider tips what to do.All in all a great stay and a strong recommendation! I will come again!

Some will love it, some will hate it. The owner was very friendly but almost too casual for my liking. The beach is a short walk away although not a nice one for swimming. Food was good,average prices. You can book snorkeling trips here. We changed because we didnt like grass Hut being secured by a bicycle lock. There is no security off the main road. Cold water, bucket showers. Very rustic.

I was there a few weeks ago and for the price of 30us that place it’s terrible. First, it is called Backpackers but doesn’t have a dorm (so it’s not). Secondary the toilet it’s dirty, the shower door it’s broken and has no roof. It doesn’t have hot water (for 30us a night!!!) and in my room there were ants on my bed and there is no floor.It’s a place for snobbish people who wants to pay a lot and live low cost style.

I stayed here and it was an amazing experience- met some pretty interesting people. Local and international!
