Our stay at this hotel was amazing.The most beautiful private beach in the bay.Hygiene is impeccable, the cleaning ladies are very pleasant and have an eye for detail.The restaurant is excellent and the service is impeccable.The hotel reception service is perfect day and night. They answer at all hours and are very attentive. We were two girlfriends and we felt safe and well so much so that we chose to extend our stay in this hotel.I would like to point out that my friend left her precious jewels at the hotel and they sent them back to us in France. I highly recommend this hotel and I see great human qualities there.

We stayed there for 3 night, in December. We had a nice room (block 700). We liked the restaurant and the vibe of the resort. The sea was beautiful. The only tiny minus is that you need to walk quite a few meters to get to the sea from your sunbed. With kids might be a bit tiring but in generalit turned out not to be a big problem.

The cleaning service is daily and the rooms are clean and comfortable.There are few reasons for which I didnt offer a 5* review:- the service in the restaurant is very slow sometimes- the food quality of the breakfast is not 4*- the bed sheets and the towels, even though they are clean and changed daily, have a weird smell, maybe is from the humidity... A very nice hotel with a beautiful garden. The staff is very helpful, always try to provide a nice service. The gym is small but has some equipment to train. Breakfast is good. The restaurant is located on the beach and has a lot of tasty food from Asian, Indian and Swahili cuisines. The beach is very big and you can swim even during the low tide.

This hotel is amazing! The staff is nice, the resort, the pool and the beach are also beautiful. We tried a massage, it was very relaxing. The rooms are clean and the have nice view. Wifi works well. The gym is small, but okay for some workout. We had one dinner at Essence restaurant, the food was delicious.The only thing I could mention is that they use many plastic bottles. It could be reduced by using glass.We would go back any time to Kendwa Beach Resort.

After have being disappointed by our first hotel in Kendwa Beach. We got in a taxi and we told our driver about how the first hotel was so bad. He then suggested we check out Kendwa Beach Resort ( Formally known as Eden Village Kendwa). From the moment we arrived at the property everything was well taken care of. From the staff, the rooms to the amazing gardens. We stayed at the resort for 5 nights and it was amazing.To the person reading this and thinking should I give them a try. You should definitely give Kendwa Beach Resort a try they won’t let you down yet they will make your stay unforgettable.FYI: Essence Restaurant located inside the resort. The food there is amazing.

Please be aware, this hotel has some very average DJ playing some cheesy music and screaming from the top of his lungs till early hours of the morning and also in the afternoons. If you’re looking for peaceful, restful stay and good sleep, this is not a place for you. Avoid!

We wanted to stay here in November 2019. The manage told me hotel only accept Italian people. We were so shocked as its located in a foreign land. We thought we live in a civilised society. This reminds me of the days one use to see sign posted (No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs). We hope their business model serves them well during times such as these. Corona gets them back as Italian flights are now not allowed in the Island.

I spent my time in Zanzibar moving along the coast staying at a number of different hotels & resorts, and Kendwa beach resort is by far the best one I came across!Very comfortable rooms, friendly & helpful staff, clean beach, great restaurants, not many beach hawkers, and the sunset view at the beach is gorgeous!The only con I can think of is that the beach and pool are at quite a bt of a walk from most rooms, but it wasnt too much of a problem.

The optimum ratio of price and quality. Great beach. Delux room - it seems this is the largest room in which I rested :). Of course, this is not 5 *, 2 years ago it was 3 *. For breakfast there are fresh juices, fruits, omelets, vegetables, pancakes, pastries, good cocoa. They complain that the ocean is far away, but I liked to walk 2 minutes before it, you cant lie all the time. You can play volleyball nearby. Essence restaurant is more expensive than other restaurants in the neighborhood, but tasty, pay better in $. There are no complaints about cleaning and service. Nice sun loungers and awnings on the beach. The internet is working fine. Excursions, as elsewhere, are cheaper to take on the beach than from a guide.

The ideal hotel in terms of price / quality! This is the best beach on the coast as the tide/tide is minimal (Nungwi was nowhere near)! Near expensive hotels. Resort with slightly dated rooms, the property is Indian, sold by Eden Viaggi as Premium. The village is quite small and has a very nice beach. The rooms are smaller than similar structures of other tour operators tried in Zanzibar. We have touched those with the worst position, that is from 101 to 106, located just beyond the reception, and therefore very distant from the services of the village and the beach, on an uphill path on the way back. Upon request to change rooms and approach the village manager Eden, I was told that this was what the package purchased requires. In truth, the room was classified as Garden view, while behind us only the staff quarters. The very large bathroom has a glass door through which a lot of light enters at dawn, you have to barricade it with towels. For the rest: nice and unobtrusive entertainment, excellent cuisine, thanks to Antonio, an Italian chef with long experience, with homemade pasta and gnocchi. Friendly and helpful restaurant and service staff. The all-inclusive formula, however, offers only one bar, rather empty and sad, only with soft drinks by the glass. Road to get there not very comfortable. Average good lunch and dinner with good quality and variability (it is still a village not a specialized restaurant), a nice terrace where you can have lunch / dinner. Trips with the Beach boys (practically true tour operators) TREATED ON THE PRICE !. A paradise on earth. Eden village is the place to go if you want to have a honeymoon or a relaxing holiday with the right amount of entertainment and fun. Super village with attention to detail. The Italian and local cooks are truly exceptional the buffet is of a level and truly varied you will find everything based on what you want you will never be disappointed! The beach is white, clean and soft like walking on flour. Little affected by the tide, in September only in the morning and in the evening the sea recedes a lot and you can see many starfish. Excellent experience, well-kept, well-organized village, located in one of the best points of the island, recently renovated. All the local staff work hard to keep the village clean in every part, the management of the Eden animators is perfect, if you want there is always something fun to do but if you want to rest assured nobody will come to disturb you, there are two beaches, one lively and one relax, without music and animation. Beautiful resort, in front of the beach / sea, in my opinion, more beautiful than the whole island! Small, intimate, large and clean rooms, at least the rooms / houses where I stayed, good food, to be in tanzania anyway, thanks to the Sicilian chef, who I dont know if there is still there having been 3 years ago, anyway super recommended!

Paradise beach, crystal clear sea, village with very nice entertainers who have made the stay even more enjoyable. A united team with great charisma. Super the tarta club. Food was also excellent and the choice of desserts was a daily temptation. Huge rooms and always clean. Everything at the top. Highly recommended.

Everything ok, lovely place, superb cuisine. but ... the architect designed the bathrooms without bidets and the showers without any flexible spray to wash your feet ... Send it back to a school of functionality.

Beautiful experience in this village run by Eden Viaggi.Lets start with the rooms, we chose the Delux, very spacious with two king size beds, comfortable and well furnished. Very large bathroom and close to the beaches and the center of village life.The catering followed by Italian chefs varies every day, from the typical dinner to the gala evening there is something for all tastes.The beach is wonderful, the best beach language in Zanzibar.It is to finish the animation that together with all the local staff must be praised, always present in respect of the privacy of each guest. Really big and I can say that we will all miss them very much.If you want to go to Zanzibar do more than one thought about this structure, especially if you have children.

We had a weeks stay with colleagues, a total of about 90 people, some with young children, some couples and even singles, we were all, some more and some less, satisfied !!Beautiful place with great beach, the sea is lovely, with breathtaking sunsets !!!Personally I hate the category of animators, but I must say that overall they are not invasive, the only flaw, the music is too high on the beach.The restaurant is overall above average, also thanks to the Italian chef who knows his stuff!Waiters and bartenders in bars and restaurants always courteous and smiling, the girls in the rooms are splendid !!If you decide to go, I advise you to organize trips with the beach boys, the boys who are on the beach and offer various, we have relied on Paolo Maldini (they all have a more or less famous Italian name 😂😂) Paolo is very good, if you happen to ask as a guide the mayor is very good, you will be pleasantly impressed !!!Beware of the Masai on the beach, they are a little pressing, but if you immediately agree with a couple of them for shopping, the others will leave you alone! (The prices at the Masai banquet start very high, you have to treat) if you plan to visit the Capital, Stone Town, they have lower prices and are less invasive !!Personally I recommend it, a really nice week !!

Great place, great food with fresh pasta from Gragnano every day, very kind staff and always smiling. I confirm the reviews on the great cleanliness of rooms, beach, restaurant and common bathrooms. The only flaw is the slightly dated beds but just to find something. Animation staff always polite and very nice without ever being annoying. And then I highly recommend doing the beach boy excursions that even if they are a little pressing they make you do the same things in the village saving at least the rest 40%.

Beautiful resort, very clean and well maintained, the beach is very beautiful and being unspoiled coral sand, the food is very good also due to the fact that an Italian chef is present in the village. The waiters are very kind and friendly and always willing to help.

Fantastic facility. The Italian chef prepares delicious dishes. Zanzibari staff always available for every need. The rooms are large and are cleaned every day by the staff. The evening is sprayed the spray because the presence of mosquitoes (although, at the time when I stayed, I have not found too many). The beach is very big, the sea is very clean and crystal clear. Prices are in line with other Eden Village Premium.

We were there from 12/02 to 2/19/18. Fantastic seaside location, very clean environment, very friendly and always smiling staff. To reach the sea you have to cross a long beach of a blinding white from which in the evening you can admire fabulous sunsets. In this stretch of sea there is no tidal phenomenon typical of the east coast of Zanzibar, so swimming is always comfortable; furthermore, a stones throw south, immediately after the landing stage, it is possible to swim in a beautiful lagoon where at low tide you can often find colorful starfish ... but please: respect them!As for the beach boys and the Masai on the beach, we were told that they were rather intrusive: instead they proved to be very friendly and we were also able to have very interesting cultural exchanges.In the village, with the all inclusive formula (soft because alcohol is excluded), you eat very well.
