To be honest, I didnt not stay at this hotel. But did see some rooms. Decent 3 star style. Small rooms. Higher floors are sea view. Weekends they swimming pool is very busy with locals from DAR enjoying pool party and rain dance. Also loud music on weekends can be too much for the resident guests. Located about 7 to 8 kilometers from the Kigamboni ferry terminal. Last patch of road is very rough and dusty.

The place is beautiful, right on the beach but be careful cause it is very far from the City ( we used taxi, ferry and another taxi to get there). The food is delicious but the rooms are not very clean. If you have a problem with geckos and insects beware cause it is full of them. Dont forget mosquito spray cause there are lots of them too.

This place is amazing except the last time I visited they had problem with heating water in the shower TWICE AND PURPOSELY . Nevertheless, the food, sunrise and sunset views are the best.THE BEACH THO... Literally, its that breathing space to appreciate Gods Creation❤️❤️❤️Jaccuzzi 🔥🔥🔥🔥The food😍😍😍

Almost this is the place where anyone either a person, couple or family can visit and enjoy the weekend,,,by swimming in a clean and clear swimming pool,,dancing sweet music,,eating quality food,,enough drinks and also a place to rest,,,. And all of these are provided in normal and favourable cost which any person can be able to Afford...,

No doubt, fantastic, clean, very friendly, good food but a bit pricey, beach is great, the road going to the resort needs work. The shower was a bit tricky, but overall its good for anyone one to go spend time there. The owners/managers were very friendly and the area is secure. Would definitely go there again, hope they increase the amenities though.

The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that I needed. Breakfast was substantial, and suited all tastes. The hotel is quiet, and is situated along the Beach side, and within easy walking distance from Main Highway. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

South beach now is just the name,not like those days!food is so bad and expensive,its testless,drinks are also so expensive,compared to kijiji beach,i dont recomend people to visit there,services are so poor!

The have the best beach spot. We had 3 family rooms on day of check out they allowed us very late check-out in one room to keep our stuff so that we could enjoy pool and beach. How cool is that.?

Its a nice place comfy as a resort with pleasing services from the gate to rooms but it needs major upgrades on ts pool since the tiles in it a wearing off and no lights in it and it has salty water as well the drainage of water out of the pool is not good as water flows like every where and lastly the other washroom is so much abounded also major upgrades have to be done there otherwise ts still a nice place to escape life reality

Great time, beautiful sands and great place with family. Beautiful and warm Indian ocean waters, white sands perfect affordable place to relax as well. Felt very safe and nothing much to worry about. I feel they can push for more activities around the place but generally its a great resort.

It has always been a great place to chill during the hot weekends but the service has become poor. I only got served an hour after I had arrived and had to follow up one of the waiters to ask for service!

10,000 entrance fees per person. Its a cool place to chill out with family & friends. availability of swimming pool, kids play section, food is affordable (fast food and local food like biryani). And certainly one can enjoy the ocean stunning view or even swim.

Its one of the best beaches in Tanzania it has a swimming pool with warm water and its white sand beach is a marvel to watch .vast selection of wine and exllent staff the hotel rooms are self contained it in kigambon accessible through the ferry and you can go by bus or bike .its live music makes it a must go place

Its a nice place to visit.. It is located along side Kigamboni beach at mjimwema.You can go with public transport or using your own private transport. It is easily reachable and its almost safe not in congested area. It has Nice beach though not that much.. Swimming pool is also available which is always accompanied by music of different genres from a very good talented DJ. The entrance fee is affordable which is currently 10,000 only per person. as at 06/march/2018. Food is available of different kinds. There is also plenty of drinks of different kinds. Rooms are also available for those who would like to take rest or sleepover here. General its a never miss place. Everyone should consider visiting this place at least once in life time.

It is a very lively place but since the place is big you wouldnt really notice the crowd there is music and a nice swimming pool and you can also book rooms to stay there. The food is also nice and the beach is an kinda clean not usually dirty.

The food & drinks are awesome but somehow expensive especially alcohols. Its perfect place for family outings although its a little bit crowded in end of the month and holiday but that is what make it fantastic because the people make it alive plus the music although the DJ is sometimes boring with this unknown music but all in all its great place, quite and splendid rooms, great Ocean View and a marvelous bar & restaurant. It deserve my 4 star rating

Nice enough place. In the weekends it is a bit noisy so if you are looking for peace and quiet better go to another place.Also it is neighbouring to a unsafe place at the beach, they have guards on duty 24/7 though.Prices are moderate.Btw, DO NOT go here. Just got a blow to the back of my head from a lynch mob.

A very horrible place to stay.

Its a good place for a family .They have family rooms , a swimming pool. During my visit they had a kind of traditional show which made my experience more fun. The cleaning stuff is unproffessional and they dont thoroughly clean the rooms. Overally it is a good place. My room had a nice view facing the beach which made the mornings quite refreshing.

Poor road leading there. But generally a good place to hang out with friends as it isnt too overcrowded fairly priced, that goes with the standard. Swimming pool a bit too small though but beach is excellent to swim in

Good places, clean, good services, but quite slow wifi even slow internet using local provider, because the hotel placed quite far from main city. Every weekend theres a pool party and quite noisy, but quite a fun experience. In weekdays, no pool party or anything noisy and everything just run as usual

The road to the hotel is terrible, the rooms could deffinately do with a revamp and the maintenance in general is lacking. Could be great place, the beach is beautiful and looks lovely to swim in. Unfortunately I didnt get the opportunity. Coffee in the room would be great. Very clean though.

I have been going to South Beach Resort for many years. The foods has been always consistently good. One of the best Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Fry and Naan. We sometimes just go there for its food. Also if you are into Cocktails do try their Long Island Tea (one of the best i had anywhere), also the Manager Bhushan has always been very very Hospitable and accommodating.

Truth be told the place is simple havent slept in one of their hotels yet but their service is sufficient but for people who are come for a short time is it pretty far, and at night its not safe if your planning to leave on foot. Mostly because there are a lot of bandits in the area

This place is marked incorrectly -- it is actually located at -6.85340, 39.36475Confirmed via GPS -- please look at Google satellite map image at given location.No comment re: hotel; only visited the place as a day visitor. Food was average, sea water was not that clear & was full of small pieces of seaweed floating everywhere. On the plus side the water was very pleasantly warm. Could do with some sunbeds near the beach itself. Had a pleasant afternoon. In the early evening they were playing music loudly near the pool area and people dancing; not bad but it could be too noisy in the hotel rooms if you were trying to get some sleep at that time.

I know there are certain rules to be followed but they can be broken considered circumstances. I went with my family there and we had kids who were 2 years old and an year old baby. They have a no food from outside policy and since my baby doesnt eat much (and he was not feeling that well too) so i took cups of yoghurt and box milk for him. While requesting at the gate the askaris started shouting at my father in law while we had also requested for the manager but we were told mwache afanye anachotaka simwiti manager but eventually they did (they had no manners) to our surprise the managers reaction was same and we were told that if you want to stay you can stay otherwise you can leave.. WTH????1) its not the only place in town we could go2) there are better places than them3) 8 adults werent going to get satisfied on yoghurt and milk (and we had their food despite the overpriced menu which was 20k for half chicken which was not worth the money because common you charge 20k for half a chicken and you give it to us out of the freezer??)We ended up spending the day there just because we didnt want to get to another place with the kidsI used to like this place but Im afraid never returning there again with the poor customer service
