I really miss this Hotel it has been 3 years now its closed please let me know when are u reopening

Location is great. Beach unfortunately suffers a bit from plastic pollution, but the staff do try and keep on top of this clearing it up.Rooms are comfortable. All beds have mosquito nets which are essential. Food is good and reasonably priced. We tried both buffet and the menu.

Best resort in Dar es Salaam. Classy yet homely. Doesnt feel commercial or stiff. Great service. Management open for feedback. Food was good. Really beautiful place. Hygiene top notch and great entertainment.

The stay was pleasant. Right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean and coast. A few more outdoor activities; kayaking and wind surfing.Right across the bay from a small, uninhabited island. Right next door to a small water park.The staff were excellent. Very secure and safe. The facilities could use an update and there were a few technical glitches with TV and AC but all in all a very good facility for the area.

Best place for a outing. The beach is pretty safe for you to swim. The restuarant also has a buffet most of the days and a wonderful bar as well. If you want you kids to enjoy the water rides there is a water park attached which you can pay for and use.

Beautiful location and wonderful scenery. The menu is a bit wanting but the have great staff. The beach suffers from some pollution but still looks good. You can see the local fishermen coming in from the see and depending on the time of day you can also sight the ferry heading out to/in from zanzibar. They also have go karting

Fantastic hotel.... our stay there especially with our kids was worth it. The hotel has what it takes to make a familys stay very comfortable. Very professional staff and great food.This is definitely our family spot for each Dar visit!Keep up the professionalism!

The hotel is perfectly located. All rooms have ocean views. The restaurant has a great view too. Great place for kids. At night, a music band plays popular songs. The water park next door is fun, but a bit overcrowded.The main negative points were the slow WiFi, and the food.

Looking for a perfect place to watch the sunset and enjoy the sea breeze as waves crush unto the shore, Kunduchi Beach hotel is the right spot. They catering service can be irritating as more than often they have half the items on their food menu and beverages list not available. They need to improve their stock management and speed of attending to guests.

We found this hotel online, and have to say we were a little disappointed. We didn’t fully appreciate the trek from the airport either. On arrival, you are met with a very grand entrance. This is very Arabic in design, and gave us the thoughts that we have made the right choice. We were very happy with the arrival and reception. We were given complimentary coconut drinks, which was much needed after the drive from the airport.It was at this point that we were shown to our rooms. This is where it fell down for me, as the rooms were old and dated. Not what was expected after the entrance. Woodwork worn and in need of re-varnishing. The sealant around the bath, shower and sink was discoloured and in need of being done in this century. Floor and shower tiles were broken or cracked. I went to use the shower and was met with a piddle of cold water, no end of fiddling with the taps could change the water temp. This was brought to the front desks attention, and a workman was tasked almost straight away. I had a cold shower that first night, and was looking forward to a hot shower in the morning. What I got was a tepid shower.Evening meal the first night and breakfast the following morning was very nice. Welcomed by a smiling server, and shown to a table. Plenary of choice for both meals covering all things meat and vegetarian. Handy as my colleague is a vegetarian.Plenty of selection for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, again with great bar staff.The exterior of the building where we were sleeping looked like it hadn’t been painted since the 1930’s. Which is a shame as a lick of paint would transform the exterior area facing the pool.The pool was a great area to relax, with views out over the beach and sea. There was a bar service around the pool as well, so no need to go to the bar in the main hotel area.We went for a swim in the sea, and was told that if we wanted to walk along the beach, we would need an escort. This was a bit of a shock, but better forewarned. Swimming directly out front of the hotel was fine, as security is already there.There is an abandoned cargo ship, run aground about 150 from the hotel. We swam around it and back, with most of the time walking with our feet on the ground.On the second night we got talking to the general manager. During our conversation it transpires that the hotel normally caters for conferences. That being it’s main client, although they do have a healthy smattering of singles & couples. He was very nice and accommodating and offered his services if we had any needs.Plus’ are the hotel staff, who I have to say were brilliant. Nothing was a hassle, and always with a smile. If only they would invest in the tired areas of the hotel, then this would be a great vacation destination as well, not just conferences.Would I come back again? Probably not

Superb place . Clean beach nice food.during the low tide you can walk almost a Kilo meter toward the sea through clean white sands.Hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and so many huts mkuti to stay for the day.Lots of rooms for a night stay, and near to the water park.Buffet Food is nice and worth.outside they have Go-Kart facility

I liked all aspects of the HotelBut in my opinion the restaurant is not professionally managed. The buffet at 45.000 miserly in content and quantity. Insufficient content of seafood in it. Food items get finished and nobody is watching over it. Coffee is always included in buffet. I was charged 3.000 shillings additionally.So I and my friends avoid it.

Good location and food but not brilliant for children. Also, most of the staff are unwelcoming, regardless of how often you go. Its convenient, but the staff could at least pretend to be happy to get customers, the place is often very quiet.

One of the most beautiful and cozy beach resorts In Dar es Salam! Visit here often when we need to unwind as a family and it always helps! They have amazing food. Breakfast is 10/10 and their lunch and dinner menus are nothing short of amazing. They have something for everyone. Personally enjoy the vegetable lasagne!

Not a bad place. Great food, exquisite cuisines. Just needs to be improvement at the bar by the beach area where a live band performs. If they can get good staff to attend to the customers in that area, things will be fine.

Beautiful and quiet place. Great interiors and nice rooms. But the restaurant service just sucks. Most of the staff do not understand simple communication but smile at least. For longer stay I wont recommend as very little food choices and small little things may irritate...

I was robbed with aggression while walking on the beach 500m north of the hotel. I rate 1 star because the response of the hotel to this event was unacceptable. Administration of this hotel lacks ethics and choose money over empathizing with people. Also they choose to bubble up instead of taking action and interacting with the community about very wrong things happening on the beach.I was robbed with aggression included by three guys armed with machete 500 meters north of the hotel. When I came back the response of the hotel administration was a gem. They didnt react unless you insist, then instead of supporting you after the trauma they proceeded to blame me about the robbery because I trespassed the big sign that is there noting that after that point there is no hotel security and you go on your own risk. Apparently there is a gang that robs tourists that go that way and have been doing this for some time. Two weeks before another tourist also got assaulted. There is no sign clarifying the risk and no security guard cared enough to run and let you know about this. I didnt take the sign seriously after walking south and seeing that it is interesting since its full of local fisherman and a fish market (some guests might consider this a risk, but its not).They refused to call the police, probably to avoid scaring other guests in the hotel.They prefer to take no action about this issue and accepted this as a normal thing that happens here, so tourists should be confined to the hotel area.Finally after being there only 30 minutes and not enjoying any of the premises I asked the administrator for a refund of the expensive entrance so at least I could go back to my hotel (I had empty pockets after robbery) which was 2hour bus drive away in city center. His response was that the income was already registered and I had to figure it out myself, they cannot help me. I had to literally beg for empathy in order for him to agree to give me something. He refunded 2 dollar (a 30% of the entrance fee) so I could go back.Are these guys really human?I suggest not going to this place simply as a punishment for the lack of ethics and apathy to events that are morally and legally wrong from part of the administration. People that thinks and acts like that, where optimizing every penny of income is all that matters are harmful to any society.Update in response to the ownerThe response of the owner is false in the following things:They didnt act professionally and with humanity as they try to make it look; they declined to call the police, it was offered to bring me to the village chairman, but I asked to go there accompanied by the police and they refused. They did offer to escort me to the venue of the incident, however there was no point in going there (what would be achieved?). I dont think leaving me alone, without offering even a glass of water and then declining to return me any money (I had nothing and I had to beg the administrator to give me money so I could go back) and not escort me either to my hotel in Dar es Salaam or to the police, is assisting someone with humanity. Having security guards with guns at the borders of the 150m beach to protect the guests from a gang that assaults tourists does not qualify as charming in my dictionary and I think the same applies to many other (if not most) peoples perspectives.Their officers at the beach didnt stop me as he stated it, an officer did yell me from far away and I assumed he was alerting me about the sign and suggesting me not to go, but stopping would mean running to me and not allowing me to go further. They try to hide the nature of the danger by using a broad caution sign, instead of being transparent about the danger being a organized gang assaulting tourists beyond that point.The administration of the hotel and the chairman of the Wellworth Group (Mr. Gulam H. Ismail) assured me measures would be taken. I do hope measures were taken.

The resort is nice, rooms are lavish but bit old at present, the staff is quite friendly and eager to help.The food is nice but being an Indian there were limited options, still better than other resorts in dar es salaam.

This hotel is old but quite charming. Its architectural design is clearly Oriental-Arab influenced and could fit right at home in a Zanzibari setting. The hotel still has its original, and now old, furnishings, making it less attractive than some of its glitzier contemporaries but one expects it to return to its former glory once the planned renovation is complete.I would recommend a room on the upper floor overlooking the Indian Ocean as the balconies provide a perfect setting to enjoy the beautiful African sunrise. A marvel if you can be up by 6 am.Other positives about the hotel include the restaurant terrace with its drapes and large french windows glass facade, which gives a well lit breakfast experience in the morning. The swimming pool is alright and theres vast beach for a good old jog or walk.The food is average and the fridges in the rooms arent stocked with a mini-bar. There isnt much on offer in terms of entertainment besides the complimentary access to the Wet and Wild Water park next door and the occasional band night at the bar.

This hotel is a marvelous Paradise one must always visit. It has cleanest linen, compared to none in town, excellent hospitality and best buffets ever. To me Kunduchi was a home and will remain to be the best home forever..

Its a nice place located several metre from Mbuyuni bus stop along Bagamoyo Road. The area is decorated with such beautiful swimming pool and slimming structures. It has also a very good hot food mainly for weekends and a varieties of bites for weekly days. To spend a night in hotel is not less than $160 where you will be provided with breakfast and free access to swimming pool.

Beyond description, when words fail to reflect the beauty of the place. Though remote from the town centre but it makes you close to yourself.Design of the entire hotel is natural and friendly, especially rooms and dining space. However sauna and similar facilities are not up to the overall place.

Very good location, quite with a very clean beach. Has enough parking with good customer service. The place is also 5minutes from a water amusement park. It is an expensive hotel but value of ua money

The hotel got killer view, the kinda place you wanna go when you want to ne alone and reminisce about stuff. Apart from the view and a wonderful breeze, the only thing i liked when i was there was the receptionist kindness and charm.

The beach view is to die for. Perfect for a romantic getaway.... a break from the noisy Dar city life and its even perfect for family as well with a water park close by ...I wasnt disappointed...

Nice place for a getaway very affordable and lots of varieties for a middle income class it is highly recommended. There is a water park, gym and beach sports. Only that they dont have cable connection

They have arrogant staff with very poor customer service. Black guests not given attention with an assumption that they bring nothing on board. We were there trying to get food after visiting the wet and wild section and still demanded entry fees... So capitalistic and money oriented hotel.

Nice location, but the place needs a facelift desperately. Friendly staff but the food quality is pathetic infact not worth eating. The rooms need to be upgraded. In short not recommending this place to anybody.
