Beautiful hotel located at the heart of the city of Dar es salaam and perfect for a holiday. Its opposite City mall and lots of local restaurants for easy shopping and access to food. Staff are very polite and friendly and rooms are so cozy and comfortable. Oh and the towels smell like cookies.
All staff were very polite and helpful. The chef cooks amazing food, and the location is fantastic, walking distance to two malls. The negatives- the loud music from the pool. If you dont like bass music, you will be miserable. The pool staff, will ignore requests to turn the music down, so they can party at the pool, and you will hear the music clear as day, up on the 10th floor.
Good accommodation, I have stayed here 4 times to date and Salma Hussein at the front desk was always helpful, efficient and ever so friendly. Thank you Salma for making my stay better.
A very great place. Nice food. Customer care also good. I had a great experience. I recommend it for others too.
One of best it deserve to be rated, good reservations, good rooms, beautifull and handsome staff blessed with smiles on there faces and mostly they are calm. Be blessed#MUNGU PEKEE🙏
We didnt stay but used the pool for 10.000 tsh and had nice meal. We liked it.
The place is good for a city hotel, but the food and catering services can be improved
Amazing pool in the heart of Dar. Perfect place for a beer after work
Quite place with high standardsGood customer service
We visited it during the covid phase and thus, hotel was in bad shape.Hope they improve afterwards.
Located near city center, close to most important spots in Dar
This place was good to be at, unfortunately o wasnt able to try their breakfast because of my travel schedule. However I can comfirm the buffet dinner was an absolute delight. Could have given them 5 stars but had an issue with the toilet facility , I believe the other rooms were better. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
I like everything about it. Except, the TV has a very low quality resolution and only three working stations: TBC1, Aljazeera eng & Azam Two (too boring). They have perfect services and sometimes they even call you to ask if you are having any inconvenience. All attendants are very respectful.Once, I was checking out in a hurry so they sped the billing process.
The hotel is nice in itself has some great quality furniture. The restaurant serves nice food. The downside experience during my visit was that there were renovations being done so I had to at some point allow them to take the lift as they had multiple things there so no room was left.
Very happy with Mr epyana and the way of hospitality provide under his supervision 😊
Big, smart and spacious.Delicious meals and courteous executives
A nice big hotel with conference rooms
Located on the city meaning vehicles and taxis or uber to anywhere is literally some minutes away. The African nights on Wednesdays are spectacular and you experience one Tanzanian life you never imagined. The staff all wear traditional regalia and the meals are amazing.Would definitely recommend this place though at the back its surrounded by some guys who keep chicken. Not that its a problem but some times when you get outside the hotel, chicken poop smell occasionally hits you. Its a mixture of city and traditional life set up...quite interesting
They claim to be a 5 star but the location, leaves a lot to be desired. As situated on the main road, dusty & noisy surrounding.
It was a great experience to be here. The place is very clean and staff are always ready to serve.
The hotel had its popularity in past decade for its hospitality, and well recognized. The speculation of its management isnt quite its previous standard also to be heard the hotel host meetings and social gathered groups that are quite opp with our traditions/culture, norms and customs.
Went for Usiku wa Mwafrika and sadly this was not the charming eccentric night we had loved some 4 years ago. The food was disappointing, absolute lack of variety that it felt like the 12,000 lunch buffet at work. I was going to give them 1 point (just for the environment) but I added another one for the tea which was superb with flavours and maybe because of the ongoing renovations, things were a bit tight. Having said that, there was the horrible service that you simply cannot dismiss . We were a group of 10, and even then it didnt help elevate the attention we got. We constantly had to look for a waitress and if she came she had no response to our queries. Honestly if you were going to take your guest to an African experience, you are better off cooking for them at home!Did I mention the music did via to Asian as well!! (After the first bit of old school African) ☹
Great place for relaxing, and the hosts are goodhearted treating there customers with generosity. There are plenty of rooms wuth splendid service. The view of the busy cuty makes it more amazing
Very good hotel, well maintained and cleaned. Excellent service and good Wi-Fi in rooms. Swimming pool, gym could be better and this is what I dont get with hotel owners. Almost 90% of hotels in Africa neglect the health and fitness in their planning. The gym is a by the way thing let convert this room into gym with one dumbbell and one treadmill. You will be so lucky to get a hotel with a good quality gym. A gym which I was planed and thought of properly. The service is good and the food is always good. I enjoyed chilling at the restaurant next to the pool. This is almost in the heart of Dar Es Salaam, if you enjoy this CBD. This could be perfect place. There was a wedding celebrations access road on one night and the music was extremely loud until early hours of the morning.Make sure you are for the room away from the main road.
Stayed for more than a week and I have had the worst experience. To start with1. Room service/House keeping takes a minimum Half an hour to attend for any service requested.2. The room maintenance is poor with no sense of cleaning what so ever.3. Breakfast was the same throughout with no varieties like other hotels provide everyday.4. Being polite should be their first motto.5. Mr Kaiju (hope I spelled that right) who is the owner/manager was approached with the list of issues but they were never attended. In all a terrible experience and wouldnt recommend my friends/relatives. Please its a request you guys arent worth the money you charge your customers.
Staying at Peacock Hotel was a very nice experience! I had a chance to bump into the General Manager, Mr Daudi Nyambu, a very helpful gentleman, who was always there to make sure that clients are satisfied. Please make your booking before rooms are sold out!
Staff is very accommodating. My friends and I needed a bite at 2am and they opened the kitchen just for us. The rooms are a bit old though and stuff at times
I have stayed at Hotel Peacock each year for the past five years and have had high quality, clean rooms where everything worked. Hot water is sometimes a problem but that has been my experience all over East Africa. Both restaurants are good. They have a nice ethnic buffet one evening each week in the upstairs dining room which is worth the cost. The only drawback is the early morning noise from the local mosques during Ramadan. If you will be there then you will want earplugs or you will be awake from about 3:00 am on. This is true just about everywhere in Dar es Salaam.
Its affordable hotels in Dar es Salaam city center. Rooms are clean, charming hotel attendants. I didnt enjoy their food though.
Peacock hotel is a neat place. The workers very friendly and the price is right. When the renovations are finished, it will be a fantastic hotel
Under small renovation but the hotel has been an amazing hotel. Great location, good food and very friendly staff
Very nice environment. Large and clean rooms. Good wifi. Not far from the ferry. Close to fabric shops

The hotel has good food, good service and workers are friendly. Most of people go to this hotel with me are satisfied. Thanks
Its very sure Peacock is the home of hospitality you wont regret being here, its situated aside the road full of the sea breeze and nice place for refreshment.
Centrally located hotel within walking distance of malls, public transport, restaurants and bars. Not the most quiet and aesthetic hotel but still worth the money.
Good service, facility, swimming pool, nice food. Very good hotel to be in.
Big hotel with a nice view of Indian ocean at its front, Good for brings traveller, nice food if any kind, etc I enjoyed here
Nice and affordable 4 star hotel with everything i need i will definitely come back here next time
Popular for Tanzanian night, on Wednesday evenings with good taste of traditional foods and live band.

It has a nice project like Usiku mtanzania the room is good and customer service
A night was well spent, wonderful facility and staffs with great satisfaction
I stayed in an old part of it. It was rather dull dark looking old building. It is under refurbishment which did not please me. They have a new part which I cant comment on it as I did not see a room.
Excellent service and a very giid place to eat and chill
Nice hotel in town Dar es Salaam. Busy place, though

A polished five star performance on the menu and conference venue.
Good rooms, decent breakfast, requires prepayment!
It had a swimming pool which makes it even more lovely
Very nice hotel and view of the city

Not a bad place but its within a congested area.
Peacock Hotels has a unique authentic African selling proposition
Dilapidated alot. Was my favorite accommodation in Dar es salaam..
