The hotel is okay. Very pricey considering the rooms are just average and sometimes lack basic things like a working ac remote, bathroom sandals etc. The breakfast provided is great and the workers are very nice and diligent

Its great so comfortable and the air-conditioning is on point. Many channels on tv especially indian channels. Very warm staff very nice breakfast and yummy. Its nice for both family and singles. Also the lift works very well.

If your in Dar es Salaam and want a clean and accessible place to stay, Rainbow Hotel is the place for you. The room are clean and good, Wi-Fi is amazing except that weather intrupted it for short while wile I was there. The customer care is amazing and the breakfast if healthy and delicious. That hotel is very near the port and in city.

The beddings and towels were dirty. Room looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while.

I love this hotel! They had European toilets, hot showers, breakfast and a shuttle to the ferry too. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are a bit small but they have AC which in this scalding Dar heat is heavenly. Be careful when paying by card though..stayed for three nights at $40 a night. In the end they charged me $126. Bundled in a 5% charge that I dont understand to date especially since my bank also charged me. If you are conssidering it then enjoy your stay

I got a single room for a few nights, and have to say, the experience wasnt ideal. The room was tiny, and didnt give a clean feel, as most of the hotel. It also smelled very humid and moldy, due to which its easiest to sleep with an aircon on for at least some air circulation. However, the aircon is right above the bed, so be careful of getting sick.Even tho they say toiletries included, its more like a tiny bar of soap, thats it. When I checked in, they had forgotten to even provide a towel, toilet paper, and this little bar of soap. I had to go ask for it and then wait around 30 min for them to bring these things.The food in the restaurant is fairly good, tho quite expensive. A meal will cost you at least 20 000 tsh, but most likely even more. Id suggest rather going out for food. The breakfast depends on what they make that day. I was quite happy when they made pancakes - they were really delicious. However the Spanish omelette I got was inedible. :/Finally, they apparently do not trust their staff, as there were at least 3 signs in the room stating that you should not leave any valuables, especially laptops and money, anywhere in the room, and they do not bare any responsibility in case something disappears. For this they offer storage lockers at the reception for an additional charge.The only proper upside for this place is the location. Its 5 to 8 min walk from the ferry, and has atms, markets, etc in walking distance. Theres a really nice coffee place 2min away as well. If you only need to stay somewhere for a night before the ferry, this is an OK choice. Otherwise, you should really think about it. 😕I

Good room and facilities. Yes parking is little bit problematic if you have vehicle. Breakfast is ok. They have inside restaurant. Laundry is there.Total its ok. Good staffs

Very good hotel with exceptional customer service. The rooms are good and sparkling clean. The breakfast is good value for the money but not something you would talk about. Its location is very convenient especially if your planning to go to Zanzibar with the ferry as the port is a few minutes walk away. The management was kind enough to have us picked up from the Tahmeed Coach offices to the hotel and had us driven to the Azam ferry port the next morning at no extra charge. They are quick to respond to any email you send them and you can book and pay on arrival. Great job guys!!!

The bed was comfy. But certain amenities were lacking like tooth paste, bottled drinking water, better soap than the local cheap Eva bar soaps, etc. Important safety gadgets like a safe are not available in the room. The air condition remote was not working, and the smell in the room was not 100% fresh.

Good location. In the City Centre. Single room at $ 35 and Double 60. Including breakfast. Going to Zanzibar? You can walk to the Port from here.

Small room and no road access to the front of the hotel other than driving up a bus lane, also no parking. Included breakfast is pretty much potatoes and baked beans with can coffee - could do with much improvement. There is wifi but it doesnt actually work. Was able to bring my dog, which is why I choose to use them (and as advertised on their website) but not actually dog friendly and the staff was not aware of the policy. Reception and door staff were very friendly and did put a positive touch to the situation.

Hotels rent is higher then other hotels even lesser facilities. Breakfast also not good. They charging 84000 TZS for single room, I got same room with price 55000 with better room and good breakfast. I cant recommend any one this hotel

Cheep and best and also for Indian its good

I felt that I could have been on the film set of the Bollywood movie The Grand Exotic Hotel.Place needs more than a revamp, probably demolish and start again!Absolutely no thought process could have gone into design of the place and it has been really poorly constructed......and quite grubby!

We had a two bedroom apartment. The air conditioning in the living room was malfunctioning. The maintenance staff and front counter are friendly and helpful. The front counter staff can speak Gujarati. Breakfast is simple but good.

Service was swift and the staff were great. Food was a bit over the top but I enjoyed every moment of my stay. Washrooms were clean while TV and Air Con worked quite well.

Its fine for a few days. A few problems with the door keycard which was sorted after a couple of attempts. Clean and tidy room and friendly door staff. Also well placed for access to the ferry port.

Room was all right, and the hotell is close to the Kilimajaro ferry terminal. But the smell in the room (I am guessing fungus in the room or in the air condition) made it not such a great stay for us. You should also be careful walking around in the neighbourhood around the hotel after dark, take Uber or a Taxi, even if it is just 10-20 min of walking.

A hotel in the CBD of Dar es Salaam. The rooms are in the range of $50 plus minus. The place is secure and the food has an Indian touch but can request to be prepared according to your request. The hotel has a lift WiFi and a standby generator.

Shower did not have any pressure, not very clean, ac didnt work properly and beds were very stiff.

A good hotel to stay in, the staff is cooperative, they also having luggage store, if you checkout, still you can store your luggage.

Very expensive for a bad room. I left after one night and went to econo Lodge instead. It was Better quality for cheaper in the same area.
