The best stay of my trip to Tanzania. Very friendly staff from the door man (Yohane,always helpfull and friendly) to the security. The hotel it self is very clean and beautiful very inviting. The room Ive stayed in is a bit small but nice everything. The food at Mumbai spices is delicious and price not to bad. For the price Ill come back anytime. Thank you I enjoy my stay

This is surely 5 star. Whoever is rating hotels please give this hotel 5 stars. Super clean staff are so charming, food is fresh and took five minutes to prepare. Try chicken lollipop and chips masala. Swimming pool available in the m floor and wife is super fast.

This hotel has got clean & comfortable rooms, good quality food and a warm ambience to make your stay easy during a business trip. Its proximity to the CBD, Zanzibar ferry terminal & Kariakoo market makes it a considerable choice for business travellers. The staff is very responsive & facilitate smooth check-in/check-out.The size of the rooms could be a bit disappointing though.

It is an exotic place to be. Aesthetically auspicious. The restaurant is spacious, serene. State of the art bar. The washrooms are exceptional. Super clean, highly hygienic. It i my one stop place for my casual to formal meetings, luncheon, lunch and dinner.

I liked the way the reception the handing the customers , with diligence and respect, the rooms are pretty big and of comfort , i liked their service pertaining to break fast , lunch and dinner , the proactiveness,meet Yohane in the customer receiving and treatment,you will really love to be there again and again.The swimming pool and SPA was superb.

The staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel was clean and their restaurants were very nice. The room was clean and had good air conditioning. The pool area was very fresh and the staff went around cleaning constantly. All bathrooms in the hotel was very clean and tidy. The only thing that could improve was the tiles in the pool.

Best Western CBD Hotel is a hidden gem. Because it is in such a confined location along a busy road, it is difficult to appreciate its charm until you actually decide to go there. The facility is pleasantly very spacious. They have good sized rooms, gym and you also get access to the bar area with a swimming pool.The lobby/reception is very nice and the whole ambiance in the hotel is inviting. Good facility

Great staff, great food, great managment !!The location of this hotel is absolutely no.1 (300m from ferry to Zanzibar, on the straight main road which takes you direct to airport).At the time of my stay thay had small issue with swimming pool that wasnt available although given this Covid climate it was quite understandable. Nevertheless ... immediately after I have learnt that I am not going to swim today )) I was approached by hotel manager who sinceriely appologised and offered me free laundry which came very handy since i have returned from 1 week travels through Tanzania. Laundry was perfectly done, all nicely folded, top class !It is very spacious hotel, you DONT FEEL CROWDED at all, wifi very fast internet works without issues .... and of course, THEY DO NOT BLOCK YOUR DOWNLOAD as in Colloseum Boutique hotel which i have experience prior staying in this one. On groundfloor in lobby area you have lots of tables, chairs, desks, powerpoints ..... very nice place to stay, have a drink, meal and do some work on your comp or just relax.Room: very nice and logic layout, all equipment present and perfectly working as advertised, even your huge windows are facing busy main road which takes you to airport - you dont hear a thing !!! Its all perfectly insulated. Shower has a great pressure with constant hot water. Wifi worked in room without any problems. TV - Samsung HD with cable programms. And was spotless clean. Just check the hairdryer cable ))). Not a speck of dust.I shall not hesitate a second to stay there again and can only recommend .... especialy for everyone who wants to be close to ferry or have easy access to airpot.At the end my special thanks to the manager of this hotel - the lady behaved in upmost professional manner and was able to wipe off the small negative issue which i had immediately with her honesty, simple apology and ability to offer a nice gesture for her customer. Thank you !

Great hotel with great amenities. Especially great if gyming is important to you; their gym is fully covered with great equipment. I had dinner at the Indian restaurant, which was absolutely fantastic. Authentic and great ambience showcasing Indian street food at its finest. Service was great as well. Hotel is also well located and within good distance from the airport.

It was a business trip and did not expect to be this much from Tanzania. Nice hotel, good breakfast, great deal and location wise just right for me as most of my clients located near the area. Good and friendly staffs keep it up. Nice rooms neat and clean. Definitely recommended. Cheers :)

The receptionist was so friendly and helpful even though we arrived really early. Also, Juma was so kind as he helped us take our loads of luggage to our room. Truly everyone is friendly and helpful in this peaceful hotel in downtown Dar es Salaam!

Hotel is always very clean. Pool area is a great relaxing spot to unwind! Both restaurants offer a great variety of delicious foods. The entire staff always meets you with a smile every part of the day and are always eager to assist you with whatever you need. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel but small queen room. Great amenities with fantastic gym and a pool accessible 24/7. Nice pool bar. Nice location close to the airport. Excellent driver able to take you anywhere in Dar es Salaam at reasonable price.Breakfast is horrible, very limited in choice : poor fruits, salty meals... No Tanzanian food proposed : Im not coming in Tanzania to have Indian food... Swimming pool tiles were scratching away and it could be maintained better; the sunbeds mattresses are not clean and the sauna for ladies was out of order.A little too expansive. Can be improved for the rate.

Exactly what you need. Not very flashy, but great value and the staff here are excellent. They organised a transfer from the airport and when our flight landed early in the morning even allowed us to check in to our room super early for a relatively small fee and grab a nap!

Great option in the city. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Good food and gym on the top floor with pool bar on mezzanine floor. Had pizza for lunch in the cafe downstairs and room service brought me a lamb curry for dinner.

Only 25 minutes to the airport and in walking distance to the centrum and ferry port. This hotel has everything that a 5 star can offer with its friendly staff. Clean and comfortable with delicious breakfast.

Was here for a couple of days. Though my visit was short, I had the opportunity of meeting smiling faces both from the reception to the room keepers. These people sometimes make you miss them and want to come back, especially the porter, Emmanuel, who received our bags from the car as if hes been expecting us for such a long time. You feel welcome. Kudos guys!

Cool for airport catch up

The rooms are comfortable enough even if facing the main street. The price is ok and I guess within the usual found in the city for the quality of the hotel. The pool is nice but small and directly at a quite busy street so only good to refresh at the end of the day. The corridors and common spaces are not always with aircon which makes things often too hot. Plenty of tasty options for breakfast and the food at the restaurants is quite ok. Staff is very friendly and tries to help even if at times could not provide a lot of info for touring around town.

The hotel was quiet and neat. The staff were very helpful. Really enjoy my stay.Asante!!!

We had a short stay in Dar. The Driver John brought us from and to the Airport. We enjoyed the wunderfull indish dishes. The staff was very friendly, the rooms clean an generelly silent. In a short time we were in the centre of the City. Thanks.

The hotel is best located on the same road to JNI Airport and within the CBD. Movement within the city is easy with taxis, bodas available or even walking on foot. The staff are so welcoming and one feels so much at home. Excellent environment within city.

Typical Best Western hotel in busy district. Good size rooms and comfortable beds. The lighting and its operation at bed sides is odd. Bathroom would need some upgrades.

Great city hotel with pool on the mezzanine

Best Western CBD hotel formerly known as Colosseum Hotel is very good hotel situated at heart of business district of Dar Es salam. I travelled as single for a business trip of 5 days.The hotel is near to the Kariakko market.It is also having an Indian restaurant Mumbai Spices and a local restaurant named Masai Barista. The food in Mumbai spices is ok but we cant rate it as excellent. The hotel is well maintained and relatively new one. Room is spacious and the room service and laundry services are also ok. Access from here to airport is also easy it will just take only 20 minutes to airport if there is no traffic. Hotel will arrange the Airport transfer at the cost of USD30.

Arrived at 6.15pm and ordered a small pizza and a side of chips. An hour later when we asked about our pizza it had not been ordered. We were offered complimentary ice-cream... No thanks, we wanted dinner!!! Not recommended.

BWP is a good place to stay. The rooms i saw and stayed in were clean, well designed and managed. On the hotel front, they would get 4 stars. But they lose points on their restaurants.While the staff is courteous, they are poorly trained on the menu and preparations of the dishes, resulting in multiple confirmations of your orders or getting the wrong items.The kitchen is no better and seem to be understaffed as every order, no matter what it might be, takes ages to arrive at your table.

Great place with nice rooms. Gym should have been placed on ground floor as the weights being dropped on the floor can be disturbing at times (I stayed on the 5th floor). Also I didnt really have any warm water, also due to the gym I assume.

Took my children for a swim, the staff by the pool/ bar was friendly. My children loved the pizzas! The menu for drinks was worn out and was upside down, some drinks were not available. Please change the menu ( I removed the one star for this)

The pool area is my best, The GYM inspires.. yet the hotel in general is pretty fine., Prices are high for us locals, the pizzeria is empty mostly, its dull and queit. Good for business bad for party people who like some adventures

Kind and friendly staff from the moment you step in. Had work at the airport, stayed here since it’s in the CBD close by. After my business was over, decided to put up at a 5 star resort along Mbezi beach which cost 2 times more, I must say I regret doing that, I experienced a 5 star hotel with very poor service, horrible staff. If it weren’t for the beach that made up for it.

Hospitality and service is good. Nice for business trip. Mumbai spices food is like home. Lady Mariam is charming & Chef Alam is very helpful. Happy with brakfast choices. Room is specias. Strongly Recommend this hotel.

Its one of the best hotels in Dar. The location is about 10 Kms from the airport. Its at just at the City Centre and Dar Es Salaam City the Kariakoo Business Hub and the city centre is just along the way. Also the Marine ferry to zanzibar and the Dar Es Salaam port is just about 4km from the place. The fitness centre is so nice and Restaurant offer the best and well prepared dishes. Cost is reasonable and the hospitality speaks of the best. This is Recommended for a visit.

The hotel is a very good value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The best part is the food, which is of high standard and the hotel staff is extremely courteous and helpful, specially at reception and food courts. Must stay and experience the hospitality.

I had just joined their gym and did my workout for 3 months. The fourth month when I went on the end date of my monthly subscription they was not allowed untill I pay in the reception. I arrived to pay at the reception and then realized I havent brought the wallet. Even after explaining my situation it didnt work with the staffs. I was turned out on that day. They dont give damn to customer relationship and that was the last day I went to their gym! Thats the end of story!

Its pretty clean...unlike most hotels in Dar of the same rates. I for one was really impressed. It has a nice and classy ambience about it!!! This kind of environment is not common in most middle tier hotels in Dar!!!

Good hotel. Relatively clean, has a small pool but questionable quality but the gym is superb! Everything a little old especially the bed which skweeks... Internet was very good. Everything else just ok considering where you are.

This was my second time at the Dar Best Western CBD....as I said in another review previously, this is the best all around value in Dar. Excellent room, WiFi, breakfast, etc. I’ve stayed at many many hotels in Dar for more money and far less quality.

The restaurant is very beautiful.. makes for a romantic date environment. And the food is superb. But take salad from the pizza menu, its better and cheaper

I am very lucky meeting 2 cockroaches in the same day! The shower water drainage of at least rooms 302 & 312 is having serious problem! As conclusion it looks clean but in reality very dirty!!

Its a nice place for reservations ,super speed internet ,amazing and caring workers with passion,food is super amazing from breakfast (self service) lunch ,dinner ,supper, security 24/7 plus fast shuttle transport to Airport.

Room space and connectivity are very good, its near from the airport but you have to put air conditioner all time you stay in the room.
