I stayed at Rombo Green two weeks ago and the WiFi wasnt even working although they offered me a great breakfast and room service.

Rombo Green View is a good place for lunch around Shekilango. I would definitely recommend it for authentic Tanzanian meals.

I suppose its a nice building in the inside. However, the outside requires redesigning and attention to match with the standards. The meals and drinking space is so noisy with less privacy. The kitchen produces soot and some kind of smells not worthy experiencing as you are having your meal and drinks. Workers are cool though.

Its located at the center of the City of Dar es salaam, its easy to navigate the city if you reside in this place, they have a local bar, and local food is so delicious at this place.

Stayed here three times on different occasions 2015-2018 nothing has improved, make sure you checked the room before paying , no wifi , breakfast is horrible, some dinner menus like Kongwa beef and goat meat is good , do not bet on their chicken ,room are basic and starts at 40,000 Tshs , roughly 17 dollars

A cheap; Below Average hotel with Stinky Rooms and Toilets; Serves only Below Average breakfast. Not for those people looking for real hygiene. Some rooms are good and refurbished but overall it is not value for money. Dont expect to get a clear TV or a new fluffy towel. Place is good for a night sleepover as long as you are not picky.

There is one good thing here: the staff, not great but not bad, is reasonably helpful and understanding sometimes. for everything else, this place is a complete joke; a total rip off. after checking 5 rooms and finding things that do not work in every room i settled on one i thought was ok. i found later the air conditioner works for 1 or 2 minutes then shuts off every time. the bed sheets had been washed but still had dirty spots on them. 3 staff members said to run the water for 20 minutes (no, am not joking) for it to get hot because of old equipment. after 25 minutes it was still only a little bit warm -- almost cold. i found out lster the management plays this trick of having hot water only for about 2 hours in the morning, and at no other time. a receptionist also told me most fans do not work in most rooms, which i also witnessed. the crappy restaurant downstairs charges 3,000 for rice only, whereas the little local restaurant across the street charges 2,000 for rice, meat, beans, and vegetables combined. the staff members do not communicate clear and then snicker and laugh together at you when you want to check the room first to make sure things work. i asked for a second key, was met with opposition, and then spoke with the general manager who said they do not offer that but rudely told me to wait and he would get his assistant manager who knows how to program it to make one. the second key i was given did not work -- would not open the door. last but certainly not least, they have a special price for foreigners that is almost double the normal price for locals, which i was lucky enough to avoid because i know locals. even for the local price i would never, never ever stay here again. i got stuck in this dump only because the places i normally stay in ubungo were all full for an event. this place was nice when it was new and now it is riding on an old reputation and stealing money from people. you can get much better for a lower price in ubungo, even at the lower local price. you can even pay a little bit more or about the same and have better in the town center. this place needs to be shut down or renovated -- one or the other. if you like not getting what you pay for and giving your money to greedy and unethical businesses then please do stay here and support this terrible excuse for a hotel. last but not least, knowing the better quality of other hotels around town, it seems almost impossible that the other good reviews are all genuine. there is a good chance they are paying some of these people to write these reviews, and maybe complaining to google in some way to keep bad reviews off. corruption like that is rampant in this country. for example, one of them even says they stayed here 2 years before they submitted the review. they cannot be serious; a lot can change in 2 years.

Rooms are dirty, old furnitures, dirty toilets, no slippers in the washroom, tv channels only 4. I didnt like the place.Also towels are dirty, even the color has changed from white to cream, mosquito net very dirty.

Fairly priced local hotel, rooms are standard for the priced paid different sizes according to the price package, close to bus stop and BRT Mwendokasi lanes, Parking available outside with Taxi service, located around sinza the New york Street of Dar es salaam, street that doesnt sleep, food services are 24/7 and late shopping available, with alot of choices from clothing to accessories, has a large restaurant with a lot of good prices of local food options, offers best BBQ options, rooms are spacious and staff are friendly, 24/7 customer support and services. Ease of movement to Ubungo bus station, its quite noisy due to Numerous activities going on around, but its located at a location that is convenient for travel, the drinks are priced fairly and local bands play on the weekend to entertain the people around, its also surrounded by major local BBQ spots best in town

Its a good place, variety of drinks both hard and soft dont forget delicious Berber cue make point of visit anytime while in Dar esalaam

Only redeeming feature is that the beds are firm and comfy and they do have WiFi (though you have to ask specifically).The negatives: nothing nearby, room smelled of damp, air con barely works, cold shower (despite advertising itself otherwise), minibar is simply an empty fridge that makes a lot of noise, contemptuous staff, crap breakfast and now trying to overcharge us for a taxi to the airport. And all this for more than a comfy hostel in London.Avoid.

RGVH is low priced hotel. Accommodation range from Us$ 25 to 80. They have nice rooms, good services and variety of nice meals.

WiFi is too weak to reach the rooms. Where you can get WiFi the speed is pathetic. Plus the room I was, in 404B had roaches, plenty of them.

Ive been staying in this hotel ever since it was a guest house back 1988. Big up for growing to this level. Iam part of the success.
