A beautiful hotel, the decor is a bit OTT for me, however it is very clean, smells alluring, the staff are very accommodating. We had an incredible Indian dinner. Beds could have an extra pillow. The porter tried to pull a fast move on me on departure asking me to pay for a City Taxi that I had not booked nor had a voucher for, and insisted it was part of booking.com! I refused and felt like he was trying to crook me. Let us with a bad taste after a really good experience.

*Very Convenient*We had a one night stop over so picked this on local advice because it is close to the airport. Just what we needed - clean, comfortable, spacious, good Wi-Fi, delightful staff (driver, reception and restaurant) and a delicious curry dinner!

Nice room but the airport transfer we booked was 50 minutes late to pick us up from the hotel to take us to the airport and we made it to the check in counter with just a few minutes to spare. Also, they wanted to charge us 67% extra for our room, but fortunately we caught them and showed them our receipt with the actual amount we were supposed to pay.

Indian-owned, this is a good, quiet place to stay. By international standards, it is OK, but by African standards, it is a cut above most. It is semi-isolated, so prepare to pay taxi fare to get anywhere, and the actual menu are the Indian dishes - which are well done. Friendly and trustworthy staff.

Service is very good, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the meals are tantalizing and very well prepared and the staff is always ready to help 24/7. Also very close to the airport

Good hotel near the airport, nice and clean. The room has a safe, and there is a free airport shuttle in all hours, that was waiting for us when we arrived.Stayed here in a connection from the Serengeti, before a very early flight.My only reservation was surprisingly the service: When we arrived at the room, there was only one (bath) towel, and no other. We called the front desk to ask for more towels several times. The response was blunt they are coming. We are still waiting...

Stay was very unpleasant. The iron took an hour to come after 3 calls to reception it did not even work. We then went to get breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby and it was absolutely terrible. There was shortage of staff and barely any food. We had only managed to get 1 slice of toast.All the cutlery and plates were chipped and dirty. All the plates were wet with slightly dirty water. The bed sheets were dirty. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel .

Very convenient, very close to airport.Rooms are OK and serve the purpose of the overnight if you have to travel back to the airport early and not have to go through Dar morning traffic.Restaurant was good. Chef made a very nice Paneer Curry and a Chicken Thika Masala with proper naan breads... That was very good.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was ok. Bar and restaurant were completely empty on a saturday night, so maybe not the place to go if you are looking for party. Maybe due to covid situation as well. Great location close to airport if you only stay one night in transit, but wouldnt stay longer otherwise.

This hotel is my go to anytime I am in Dar. Its the perfect transit hotel. Friendly staff, big clean rooms with hot water and a good breakfast. It is well managed and the staff are incredibly helpful. There is a shuttle that will pick you and drop you at the airport and is always on time. Even in the early morning or late at night you can rely on them. The manager is quick to correct any mistakes and goes above and beyond to ensure you are taken care of.I travel for work and stay in hundreds of hotels in East and West Africa, South America and Asia and this hotel is competitive with all in terms of customer service. I am always satisfied and have stayed now 5-6 times with no issues at all. Very good customer service, highly recommend.

The location near the airport is fantastic, the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Perhaps the street in front of the hotel is a bit noisy, being very busy. Better to ask for rooms facing the back.The restaurant has an extensive menu to choose from.The management is Indian but very attentive to customer needs.I recommend it.

Situated close to the airport. Very nice accom and very friendly staff. The food is amazing at the Indian restaurant situated in the lobby area. There is also a personal trainer in the large and fully equipped gym on the 2nd floor.

Worst hotel Ive ever stayed! My two weeks there was a nightmare! And this is not malicious, all truth and should be taken positively!1) Staff appeared clueless and untidy, never understand the menus and not properly trained on customer service. Zero professionalism!2) Awful food! Bread was mostly not fresh, fruit salad melons werent fresh, pineapples werent fresh, cauliflowers terrible, juices were only fresh once in a while, cornflakes went missing for three days, catering pans werent properly labelled, and moved when you open....I only enjoyed water!3) Poor timekeeping! You order a meal and it takes centuries, in some situations, they get you wrong food! You sleep hungry!4) Housekeeping was another nightmare. I complained twice, my beddings werent changed in three days. My towel smelled like sheep urine, again, I had to beg for a towel...all I got was samahani kaka nonsense!5) Equipment, my heater kept working even after switching off everything. I prefer cold baths...hot water scares me, moreso in a humid place like Dar Es Salaam.7) Parking was mostly reserved to unknown people 24/7.8) Bar side was very unclean, not fumigated for ages. Funny smell, tiny cockroaches crawling on seats.9) My iron box was rusted, the adjustment knob was loose...it could only iron light cotton fabric well. Rest, unless you press under the mattress. Cloth hangers were very poor quality as well.....I can go on and on and on! If I were in charge of that hotel Id fire everyone and get in properly qualified people who understand hospitality proper. The manager in charge appeared clueless and quite timid.Ill never stay at Sapphire again! I wont recommend it to anyone who prefers value for money, unless they correct their operational issues. Unfortunately its the only nearest hotel to the airport.

Decent DAR airport hotel. Fairly close to airport and transfer is arranged tho our driver wasnt there when we landed, another was for someone else so we got him to call our driver. Room good size, good a/c. Need to press switch for hot water which wasnt pointed out till we found it in the morning. Free breakfast, with omelette option. Big gym, bigger than most hotels.

It is a perfect place to hang out when you dont want to panic about traffic jam or sticking too long at the Airport.... I was surprised to find out the have a Pool Table! And the meal was great too...

Huge rooms but needing lots of improvements on general hotel service.

We stayed several times here during our trip to different islands in Tanzania. A very good experience. Rooms: spacious, perfectly clean, good design, and everything working. Hot water, almost too large shower, WiFi repeaters in every room, Internet sometimes fast sometimes slow but always working. Breakfast: Tasty and everything available. No buffet everything is brought to your table and freshly made. A rarity in Africa. Service: Everybody in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged transports and flights for us, did laundry, helped with our car problems. We could leave our car for some days in the security parking space in front of the building for free while we where on the islands. Restaurant: Also good, authentic Indian Cuisine with perfect service, we had dinner every day there.

Didnt stay here, dropped some friends off, and they said it was good.They had a chicken sandwich which was good too. Not sure the spa is great though, as the feedback on their massage session wasnt fantastic.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for our last night in Tanzania and wish we would have been here sooner. Well-appointed, large rooms. Friendly and professional staff. Everyone was very welcoming and made it easy for us to do late check-out and get an airport shuttle since our plane would leave later in the day. Great restaurant! We tried their Kohlpuri, Chicken Stroganoff, Chili Garlic Mushrooms (twice in two days), and Hot/Sour Soup. All were fantastic! I cant stress enough the beauty of having a clean shower with hot water, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed after a week of safari.

Staff attentive. Well maintained and rooms of a high standard.A variety of culinary dishes offered. I enjoyed a very authentic chicken tikka masala with naan bread. Also the pan sheared chicken was mouthwatering.Tastefully decorated dining room. Good service given by staff.

Nice ambiance and good food. They can attract lot of expatriate fraternity staying around by making some innovation like having buffet lunch or dinner and also their pricing is a bit high compared to similar hotels in town

I love this hotel on Julius Nyerere avenue, 5-10 mn to the airport of same name in Dar es salaam. Rooms are cosy,restaurant serves very good food and manager is a great guy.i will definitely return.

I took this hotel for 7 hours, because my flight arrived from zanzibar at 7 pm and 4am I had the flight. hotel ia closed by the airport and have free transfer, i booked because this. I HAD THERE the worst hotel experience i ever had in my life!starting to book my transfer i put attaches the conversation, i send bordong pass print bu whtasapp and email, and for my surprise No one was waiting for me when i arrived at terminal 1 7:15 pm, i needed paying $ 20 for a taxi from Terminal 1 to hotel, the terminal closed,my floght was the last of the day. I got taxi and arrived at hotel and no one gave any satisfaction. in the room, had only one towel, the sheet was stained and the smell of cigarette throughout the hotel and the room was very strong. As I just wanted to rest and take a shower About this i decides to stay at the hotel. BUT TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, in the middle of the night a employee girl comes into my room without any permission !!! a total nonsense !!! I was terrified. I checked out and tried a payment solution, some discount for spending the taxi, not having a towel, employee coming into my room without authorization and I was unsuccessful, quite the contrary the employee tried to charge me more than my reservation. booking, $ 10 more. I showed him the reservation and then he saw the correct value. Escape this hotel, do not respect the guest and do not have to deal with the mistakes they have made. stay at the best western nearby.Leon mBooking 16/12/2019

Very Near to International/domestic Airport . Good Spacious room with Good Indian, Continental food. The Staff is helpfull. Good place to stay. Will suerly recomend.

Cost atmosphere and conveniently located. Menu needs more variety and TV needs to be bigger and better placed for that room. I also suggest DSTV rather than what you have.

Located near Mwalimu Nyerere International Airport and that makes it easy for shuttling in and out to airport. Also free airport transfer was a plus.

New hotel. Well appointed rooms. In-house Bar, Restaurant, Gym, Sauna... close to airport. I got a great nights sleep. Great spot.

Its a few minutes from the airport, so very convenient. Its nice simple and quiet hotel, not too many frills but not shabby at all.

If you in a hurry to the airport and you wish to avoid city traffic and all the choice then this is the hotel you need, and it seems to be the only hotel around this industrial area (Vingunguti), in less than five kilometers you will be at the airport, no Hussle no hurry.
