From the pictures and the outside of the hotel everything looks nice, however, the rooms were dirty, dirty, dirty! The towels were dirty. The bed sheets were dirty. The bathroom had roaches. No upgraded tv. Only one towel per room. Asked for another another towel no one came. I would pick a difference hotel if you can.

Hotelwas extremely nice. Hotel employee were very nice they helped us with our bags. Our room was spacious and was very bright. No weird smell in room . No bugs. We took nice walks and we loved it. Went to beach and saw many beautiful different things. On our walk we got ice cream from this great ice cream store. We got something to eat. We got coconut and drank the water in it. Found a supermarket near by.. Theres a casino near by. We walked there at night . It was about 2/3 blocks away. Loved loved this area,. Very busy becareful crossing the st the cars and motorcycles come real close to you. We did see a person get hit.it was sad. Please DNT test them you DNT want to end up in the hospital in another country on your vacation just be patient till you see its safe . They really go fast and close. This hotel is an excellent hotel . If you go to top where restaurant is you get a great view . Theres a bar up there. Enjoy Loved it would def come back. Thank you

Very nice hotel with great views of the city centre. The rooms are quite spacious and the food is excellent.However no drinking is allowed in the hotel so for your evening sun downer you have to find a place outside the hotel

Really nice People, the Hotel provides assistance with the PCR test, and that is very important, not a lot of hotels do around here, rooms are clean and nice and the food on the top is great.

Was there for a week and Half . Had a very nice room with the best view of the city and the port.The restaurant staff makes nice food with the exception of Aisha the people are always moody ask for an Omelet it takes 15 minutes everyday I had to ask for sugar for tea when having breakfast their staff needs to be constantly reminded to bring the normal breakfast needs like sugar or Jam.Room service I Constantly kept on asking for toiletries which i believe they are supposed to put everyday

Golden Tulip - city center was great! We had a weeklong stay at the full service apartments. At first glance, we weren’t very impressed by the rooms because we expected a hotel room. But given our longer stay, the management went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and reassured us that our stay would be comfortable at the airport. They catered to all the requests. All things considered the room was really very comfortable. Having a full kitchen and a washing machine along with full housekeeping was definitely a plus. The house keeping staff was also very polite and cleaned the rooms well. The breakfast buffet is decent but the menu pretty much remains the same. The real highlight though was the location and views! The rooftop restaurant has gorgeous views of the city and port. All rooms are at higher floors so they also have great views.The location is not bad. It’s a little crowded around, but there’s a lot of restaurant options in the vicinity and a taxi stand right outside that charge around tsh 5000 to go around the city.All in all, I highly recommend golden tulip for a comfortable stay in Dar es Salaam! It is value for money.

Missing shower door, worn out towels, half-full (single use) shower bottles, temperamental sockets and faulty air conditioning, slow service (we waited for almost an hour to get a missing shower towel). Central location with nice views and very friendly staff though.

Came into their beautiful front desk with a view of the city. It was amazing. Told the receptionist it was my birthday and to a surprise I get a knock on my door with a birthday cake. Clean rooms with majestic views. Will be coming back very soon!

The room was excellent, customer service was outstanding and location as a solo traveller was perfect. The food was amazing. Will be staying there again on my next visit. I stayed for 12 nights and am very happy I had chosen the Golden Tulip city center.

Measured by where I come from, you get luxurious surroundings for a very cheap price.We were located at 17th floor, with an incredible view over Dar, day or night.Staff deserves all my thumbs up. They really did whatever they could to create solutions to our demands. There really was NO problems by doing us a favor.They really made out day easier. Thank you, Golden Tulip..... well meet again

Location: city center, about a 6 minute drive to ferry with traffic, 9 minutes to walk.Hotel: I will say even though the facility does not look totally like the pictures... its still a nice place. Inside Is clean, and well cared for. My room was spacious... i was upgraded to the Presidential suite. Shower and jacuzzi tub, separate living room, lots of windows. Restaurant was on the 21st floor.Food: good quality, I was only there for breakfast and a snack so I cant comment the validity of the food. But what I did eat was flavorful and good. Nothing exceptional but better than average.Staff: Extremely nice and accommodating. I had to change my booking several times due to canceled flights for the Texas storm, and the hotel let me change my reservations to accommodate me and upgraded me. Definitely good people. Asante sana!!

Inexpensive, OK-ish. Dry: no drinks. Staff friendly, not very fast or very much on the ball. Long waiting for elevators. Rooms are fine, some have a nice view. Location excellent. Facilities OKish.

Nothing good in this hotel, internet unstable, food nothing special if you vegitarian, staff always accept their mistake with no solution. Finally its full of irritation living in this hotel.

Good place at City center. Taxis available to take you wherever you want in Dar. its located near the harbour where you can take ferry to Zanzibar. But alcohol is not served at the hotel. But you are allowed to buy outside and drink in your room.

Lovely stay. Clean ambience. Scienic view of the sea.Check in was no hassles. Front office was kind to give us a room facing the sea.Efficient staff. Breakfast buffet was the best. Nothing to complain about. Every detail taken care of. Dinner was grilled fish, grilled to perfection. Lunch was a fantastic one. Chinese menu the day we had. All the meals including tea and samosas that we had there were so good, we ourselves were pleasantly surprised. Usually while travelling, good decent food is one thing we crave. Golden tulip was par excellence. Keep up the good work!!

Good rooms and good service plus amazing staff.The hotel allowed us to stick around a few more hours when our flight was delayed - super gratefulThey also gave us tshirts as a gift on leaving.Something to improve is to work on your breakfast options, theyre always the same

Ive been in different branches of Golden tulip in different countries and I can say that this one is my favourite one.The staff were friendly and professional.The hotel was super clean.The restaurant and the food which it provides is delicious and testy.The only point i guess that the need to work on the cafeteria hall because it is location wasnt that good, I dislike the idea of having my coffee infront of the reception😑.

Well Golden Tulip is a 3 star hotel.. maybe less. My stay was pleasant, the rooms are spacious and with amazing views of the dar city. The hotel reception and lobby is less than impressive. Their cafeteria on the 20th floor was equally wanting. Overall I feel the room rate is over priced considering the lack of amenities and the fact that you have to pick your toiletries at the reception when you check in. Staff are very friendly and that is the only thing that will salvage this hotel.Oh before I forget.. the lift doesnt have a functional fan or air conditioning.

Cool hotel in the Dar Central Business District, if you are in the area one can walk to it.Design and decor is great. Service is also fast and the staff are friendly.Food is delicious and drinks have good prices. Some rooms gives good views of the downtown Dar es Salaam.WIFI is fast.

Its a beautiful hotel within the city centre, of coarse not as luxurious as their other branch, but none the less hit the bench mark, for its location. They have a good hall for presentations on their top most floor and an in-dine restaurant too. Totally recommend it.

Very nice sea view from the rooms. hotel just opened. very clean and smart decoration. very friendly staff. we asked the reception staff to change our room from City view to Ocean view and they did it with a smile. no extra charge.

Rooms are very affordable but often lack the last touch of maintenance to be really great. The staff, though, is very friendly and helpful. Meals are tasty but choice might be very challenging for people with gluten allergy. Location is very handy if you have business in town, not like most of the other hotels which are far out in mbezi etc.

Reception on 20th floor..rooms from floor 15 to 19..this is a NO Alcohol facility..even in the Fire restaurant on ground floor is no alcohol...so no wine with your dinner..rooms tidy, clean and everthing was working...may require a touch of paint here and there...but overall a good place to stay a night or two.

Good quality hotel within the proximity of the city center.. This hotel is for those people who are looking for hotel which is clean, neat, modern and located in a good surrounding. The ferries leaving to Zanzibar are just 15 mins walk away or 5 mins drive and several other requirements can be fulfilled near by. The hotel is having a decent restaurant at the ground floor and airport is approx 13 km away.The staff at the hotel are very kind and welcoming which is plus point.

The place is so clean, the hospitality of the staff members is exhilarating, food is tasty plus breakfast every morning. The prices are reasonable and there is an open lodge at the roof top were the view is breathtaking. Located at the city centre therefore going around would be easy.

First time in Dar es Salaam and first stay at this hotel. Lobby is on 20th floor and my room on 17th floor.I arranged hotel car for airport pick up for USD25 but could not meet the driver upon arrival so took prearranged taxi service at airport fir USD 30. My phone was not able to roam properly so could not contact the hotel.Hotel is fine and room was just ok but nothing luxurious. Had just one bath towel but did not ask for more. Staff were all very friendly. Neighborhood seems a bit run down but all still nice. Location is nearby posh Oyster Bay area which is worth a drive. Great view.

DOES NOT SERVE ALCOHOL. If you like to have a wine or a beer with your meal, you’ve come to the wrong place. Which they told me before I checked in and paid. There’s very limited options nearby to have an easy meal with a drink and WiFi in walking distance

5 star for the rooms and room service, but in terms of the overall feel of the hotel - this place does not have dedicated parking, the building is shared by many commercial businesses, the breakfast is just normal or below par from the point of view of an international guest. They do not have their own restaurant, and thank fully - Delhi Darbar on the ground floor with whom they have a tie up - provides good food.Again this is a Halal hotel - not recommended for multinational travellers, essentially because it does not have a bar.Watch out for the taxis offered by these guys, there are quite expensive and charge 4 to 5 times that of the normal rates.The staff at the reception were quite helpful - but the Manager (never met him during the whole week I was there) was reluctant to meet me to listen to my grievances.Not quite a business hotel like the other budget hotel chains like BW, Four Seasons

After two 6.5 hour flights to Dar Es Salaam, we were so grateful to arrive at the Golden Tulip note. The staff there were super welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. The room itself was perfect. Spacious, bed linen was great quality and the hotel had included all the little touches i.e. slippers, toiletries etc. Over all a great experience, great place to stop over when in transit!

Nice place, comfortable beds, but the water pressure is low, barely got just drizzles of hot water after a 24 hour flight. After we went to bed the hot water pipe broke in our bathroom and flooded the bathroom. When we reported it, they came to our within 5 minutes and took us to another room.

I stayed for 13 days and found the hotel very comfortable, smart and friendly staffs. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located in city centre. I would definitely recommend this hotel

I stayed at Golden Tulip Dar City Center for 3 nights, i real enjoyed my stay, rooms are very clean with nice view of the city from the big glass window, Terrance restaurant for breakfast on 21st Floor was another memorable thing, staffs are very help full and kind. I will definite come back.

You have the best view of Dar es Salaam City. The place is awesome, the rooms are great, and the service is awesome. However, laundry services are abit sluggish. They delay delivering the clothes, and if a hurry you might leave them behind.

Convininent hotel for travellers wanting to experience Dar city centre life, the hotel one storey building is located at the core of the city, next to the Posta bus stop and closer to shopping facilities and fine city dining, the views are stunning from above getting to enjoy dar as advertised, with the indian ocean and its shore, its welcoming with a breeze from an up top sitting area for maximum relaxation and comfort, the price for international standards is fair and quite expensive for local, domestic travellers. Its equipped with state of the arts gym, restaurant and chefs, and a bureau de change for all momentary activities with all major currencies exchanged at fair rates. Has taxis parked in front who speak English to aid the movement process , the lodging os standard for the price paid only limit is it gets busy on work days with the busy city life which wont be quite impressive for some who like calm environment around.

I was very surprised by the hotel because of many bad reviews I read online. All was good with the hotel. I had any problem. I took a deluxe room and I appreciated the view woth a big window.

Staff is very good, rooms are ok and the food is nice. It would be better if there were more food choices for lunch and dinner.

I have taken nearly 2 months to think about this.Golden Tulip is the worst hotel ever! BEWARE!Ill give a brief of what happened to me:1. 14th June 2018 6.50pm - I check in.2. 15th June 2018 10am - I notice my laptop is missing. I immediatly inform the hotel management. Key suspect is the driver. Nothing is done by the hotel till I tell the Manager I want to report the case to the police.In a series of events, the hotel General Manager strongly defends the driver and blames me for taking too long to report. He goes ahead to threaten that he will sue me of defamation.As I had already reported the case to the police, I informed the General Manager that the law will take its course.So, if you are planning travels, this is the last place to consider.

I do not think this hotel two years since it started its business but to my point of view its one among the best places around town with nice view of the city centre at the roof top, good food and its a place also where you can get a good food and also beautiful rooms where you can spend your quality time

Strange hotel with scent of cigarette smoke in the room and bar with extremely limited menu! The gym was quite good, but crowded. Service was not bad.

Had dinner at DELHI DARBAR, the serving was good... the names of the dishes have to revised though... The bbq chicken lasagna was in-fact 5 reshmi kabab with some cheese on top of them served with lots of chips. The chef needs to know what is lassagne.
