After my ordeal of a bad room in another part of 1 of their partner hotels, the manager of this hotel arranged for me to move here.... I was in 7th heaven... This place is TRUELLY every cent worth it.. And the manager is for sure a keeper for this hotel. An amazing guy, friendly and helpful. Thanks to all staff assisting to make my stay awesome!!

The stay was okay.But the guy called Ali from the staff was not that gentle .. I am still waiting for my invoice from him!Finally the guy was rude and he blocked me from whatsapp and pretending that he is not available for that.. But man! I am a customer and I am asking for my right!The staff of the restaurant was amazing!

I have to vote this as most memorable Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy (it even beats a lot of the food in Italy itself). The resort is on the ocean and it is covered in waterfalls of flowers. For sunset - connoisseur cocktails, herbal and spice infusions - an experience!

My stay at the resort was good...but the staff are horrible just because am african like them..they are rude and not welcoming especially the reception ladies they backbite while laughing i dont want negative energy on my vacation...i know swahili so when they talked i heard everything

My stay was so good I asked management and staff to adopt me. They politely declined but said I should visit again which I will.Absolute stellar stellar experience. Coming from the luxury capital of the world, Dubai, that says something. Food was great, people were great, management was great - was made to feel at home, if home was a resort on the beach that offered complete relaxation and entertainment of every kind (dolphin diving, partying and cultural exploration).Never more have I felt, heard and lived “Hakuna matata.” Which FYI is Swahili, the local Zanzibar language.

The hotel is good but the service is so bad! How can you not give a freedom to your customer to invite their close friends or family and there was a very bad situation whereby the security was willing to shoot a guest just because he was waiting for someone to leave! A week here is gone so fast! ... Good Italian cuisine ... soft and not stressful entertainment ... excellent excursions proposed! There is a Beautiful pool and the beach which is subject to the suggestive phenomenon of the tides ... Definitely recommended for those who want to spend some relaxing days.

The hotel and natural ambience were perfect!The only thing that ruined the last days of stay was the behaviour of 2 staff members. Namely, the rude woman who screams at guests in the dining hall and completely refuses to allow any breakfast self service 1min after time (even when the food is still out and hall still has guests); and the pool man who is more than willing to amplify prejudice and body shaming remarks from both himself and anybody willing to participate.The pool is lovely, rooms are cosy with beautiful green canopies on the balconies.

We had THE BEST TIME HERE! The resort is so beatiful, quiet, immersed in nature and guarded with SO SPECIAL, INTERSTING AND KIND MASAI PEOPLE! Private beach is stunning with clear turquoise water, sunbeds and sun umbrellas are all wooden and natural, 2 pools are clean and nice. THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE SO ATTENTIVE, KIND, PROFESIONAL, AND GENUINELY INTERESTED IN ALL GUESTS HAVING THE BEST VACATION EVER!There is a nice balance with continental and local food, and its really tasty. They even make big cake few times per week for dinner dessert AND SING AKUNA MATATA WHILE BRINGIG IT FROM THE KITCHEN! JUST AMAZING! Go there, it is worth every penny. It is difficult. Its on the edge. You could write great. Well-being, warm sea, nice garden. But you could just as well write the same food over and over again. Sweet things scare, breakfast omelette pancakes all this ... the sea at low tide sometimes comes at three in the afternoon. We spent seven nights in this hotel, including the New Years Eve night and we can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The food is good, there is quite a selection, there are snacks between meals available at the pool bar, the only drawback is that the All Inclusive bands (extended version, but also the usual one) work from 10:00 to 22:00, in other during hours you have to pay for drinks, not including water, which is available all the time for free. Alcohol included in All Inclusive is Konyiag, local wines and beer (Kilimanjaro), unfortunately you have to sign a list of what and how much you took each time, but its not super problematic. If someone wants a beer after 22:00 it is not expensive, it costs 2.5 euro, payable at the end before departure. In general, at the moment there is no African flavor there, you feel like in a Turkish hotel.

I stayed at this Resort with my wife for a week in late September and early October ... just wonderful !!! The resort is just the right size, not as distracting as the big tourist resorts and equipped with all the comforts! Rooms are spotless and very welcoming and fresh flowers are placed every day as decoration! Very delicious and varied food both at breakfast and at lunch and dinner ... cooking times of pasta and rice always perfect and exquisite fish dishes! Not to mention the fresh fruit cut on the spot and desserts at will !! All the staff was very courteous and always available, from the reception boys to the waiters, from the bartenders to the cleaning girls, all very attentive and kind, always with a smile on their face !! Very strong and never intrusive animation guys, they made us have fun every night even though we were few in the village! The sea in front of the resort is subject to high / low tide every 6 hours and offers unique scenery and views every day! At low tide there is the possibility of walking on the sand spit that is created, accompanied by beach boys or masai (initially a little insistent with newcomers, but then friendly and friendly) in search of starfish! For the excursions we have chosen the boys of the village, who with the package of 3 or more excursions, apply more or less the same prices offered by the beach boys! If you really want to find a small flaw is the wi-fi, free in the lobby but very slow and some evening not working, but you are notified of this from the arrival at the resort! A hotel for undemanding ones. Food very monotonous, a small choice. Set for a large profit at a low cost. The lack of refrigerators in the rooms in such a climate surprised me very much. Me and the family in January 2018 stayed here for 7 days. Palumbo Reef is a hotel surrounded by nature. The facility is large and beautiful with lots of wooden details, the room was clean, the attendants helpful and very nice. The restaurant is really delicious and the products are very tasty, I recommend you try the fruit in particular. The hotel also offers the possibility of making trips and excursions around the island. In the structure there are many Italians and therefore it is easy to communicate. The pool is beautiful and always clean. The hotel is located on the beach and in the morning you can stroll outside with the local people (who unfortunately are sometimes insistent), you can see starfish and amazing shells. In the afternoon the tide rises and the sea becomes difficult to access, but it is a unique phenomenon to observe. Sometimes in the evening there are giant crabs that come to visit you and there is even a little monkey. In the evening the staff offers entertainment shows. The only flaw the wifi (at least two years ago) went only in certain points of the structure.Absolutely promoted with 5 stars.

I stayed a week in this Resort which by far met expectations.Spacious rooms with air conditioning and fan and a spacious terrace with chairs and table. Room cleaning was good they change towels every day and make the bed every morning.At the entrance of the hotel there is a large hall with a bar and boutique (although a bit expensive for being in Zanzibar) where you can relax and where there is wifi.Breakfast lunch and dinner all very good fresh food with great variety of fruit and vegetables.As for the excursions we have entrusted directly to the hotel staff who offers packages of 6 very convenient excursions with a lot of discount. The excursion staff is very nice and very helpful especially ChipaChipa with whom we had a really great time!The recommended excursions are Nakupenda Prison Island the spice tour and Sardinia two.The entertainment in the evening was excellent with the animation manager Nino the fun is guaranteed.The beach is located in a raised position above the sea and is a great thing not to be disturbed by the beach boys!Near the resort there is a fishing village where I recommend going to taste some real Africa and to bring some presents for the children.A few evenings on the beach of the resort the local Masaai organize a bonfire with characteristic songs and rites (very nice and recommended)Overall we had a really great time and will definitely be back!

Beautiful place with amazing sea and long low tide, because the sea is long shallow. The receding sea offers pleasant pools. The food is delicious, everyone can choose. Rooms well air conditioned. The hotel is very tasty food, the staff is polite and helpful. Everyone is trying very hard. We were placed in a house room without hot water. There is an ariston heater in the room, they turned it on, but in fact it doesn’t heat! The beach is really with seaweed, just like in Anapa, the smell is the same. But there is a clean beach with white sand nearby, only when you have to climb a lot of water through the trash can, but thats okay. The fact that the guests of this hotel go to the neighboring beach was noticed by the owners of the neighboring one and literally in a day built a wall of foam blocks, very nice. Great place to vacation. Clean and cozy rooms also with bathroom and air conditioning. We arrived yesterday 12.12.2020, in Zanzibar city Uroa hotel (Samaki Lodge 4 - Palumboreef 3) is the same ...Just awful!!!!!!!! Money was stolen from the closed safe in the hotel rooms !!!!!! Upon arrival, we filled out a questionnaire and it was indicated there that all money and jewelry should be kept in a safe ... so we immediately hid our passports and money there ... in the end, we assume they robbed us during a meal, because cleaning there were no rooms yet and most of the time one of us spent in the room ... partial amounts in dollars, shillings and rubles were stolen from a closed safe with a key !!!!On the first day of rest, they did this to us ... they ruined everything !!!!!!! We informed the hotel guide, who was still there, and together we turned to the hotel administration ..... The hotel said that it could not help ... go to the police (she herself does not come .... you have to go at your own expense and trying to explain to them what happened and how ... they said that there would be a confrontation with the hotel staff ...) do not come here .... if you want to relax in peace !!!! The hotel employees steal !!!The police have been informed, we will await the results. Let me tell you how it will end !!!

Resort really nice and well done, not too big and comfortable to shoot with rooms very close to the beach access. Cozy and well-kept rooms, spacious bathrooms and very good cleaning service. The beach is not very big but well equipped with African style sun beds and umbrellas, protected by a low wall that raises it to avoid frequent raids by beach boys, sometimes too insistent. Restaurant included in the all-inclusive buffet, rich and with good dishes and with a reasonable turnover in the various days. I also recommend trying the restaurant by the sea, even for a fee, but it offers delicious dishes like lobster and sea cicada, a must try !! Also great for a romantic dinner! Low prices ...Staff overall polite and prepared.Discreet Wifi but that suffers in moments of great influx, in the rooms distant from the hall hardly arrives.Overall advice, 8 and a half as the final grade!And if you decide to rely on the beach boys for excursions (lots to do and all very nice) look for my friend Said of the Franco Nero !!!! We are on vacation in this little corner of paradise and despite having a very small child we are enjoying every moment of this holiday. Africa! You cant buy anything good here, its poor, simple, expensive. Therefore, get high and imbued with the spirit of laziness, non-vanity, good nature - we lack this so much in the cold!And one more VERY IMPORTANT little remark! Sometimes the tide brings jellyfish here. They sting very painfully! The place of contact instantly becomes inflamed, but there is a simple trick: buy lime in advance (this is a small relative of lemon), sold in all the shops near the hotel. And if contact with the jellyfish happened, then you can immediately rub the bite with wet sand and - run after the lime, which must be cut, squeeze out the juice and rub the entire bite with this juice. Works fast!

I left my heart, small village, rooms with the essentials and large bathroom. Very good food, sea point not the best on the island but with the charm of the tides leaves you enchanted (the photos are taken in front of the village).The village is in a convenient position being in the middle of the island, for the excursions we relied on the Beach Boys, in particular Adriano, a boy with permits to be able to guide.If I return, I would happily stay here again.

The food was delicious and well cooked, all the staff were very helpful attentive to customer details, really nice plus many of them speak Italian without ever having been to Italy.As an Alpitour travel consultant it will surely be a structure that I will recommend to my clients !!Finally, I recommend this structure to all customers who want to use it as a support for excursions because due to the tide the sea point is a bit sacrificed, but the prices of the latter are very affordable compared to other resorts.A greeting and thank you very muchDebora Cerruti

Beautiful resort with tidal dominated beach. Walking along the beach you arrive at the nearby village where you are immersed in the African atmosphere. A swarm of little boys comes to meet for gifts and especially pens and markers. Ideal place for a different kind of holiday.

Location beautiful, hotel, service and food at a very good level. Accommodation such our 2 * +, but clean. The worst thing that could happen to us here is 90% of Russian-speaking uneducated Tirists.

Wonderful place, great service. The rooms as well as the common areas (hall, restaurant area and swimming pool) are clean and tidy. The staff is very nice, all very nice and friendly, did not in fact miss some time to chat with them being the place and discover more of their culture, is that Zanzibaris Masai with their beautiful traditional clothes. What to emphasize is the quality of the kitchen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as a buffet with a wide selection and all very good, both typical and Italian dishes, from appetizers and first courses to desserts and fruit.

Our first vacation in a top location! Great village treated like royalty by a beautiful staff! Giovanni the Masai is very simple !! The excursions with the very nice and extremely available Romolo and Chipa Chipa have been wonderful by visiting the most beautiful beaches of Zanzibar and the capital stone town! The food is not lacking in the resort, we ate well at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the very beautiful evening shows always accompanied with very entertaining palumbo entertainers !! Our room (the 301) was very clean and tidied up every day and on returning from the excursions on the bed there was no lack of flowers and towels made in the shape of a swan.The pool is nice and the deckchairs are free !!! At any time you can go to the beach where you can enjoy the sun and the crystal-clear sea with the company of nice Masai like Davide or Carlo Magno !!! What can I say ... spectacular place where I received also the proposal of Marriage ... ♥ we will never forget it! Thanks Palumbo !!!!!!!

Great food and service, very nice and well organized in the common parts, a little worn but clean and efficient housing. Sea in the area adjacent to the residence subject to tide and algae but more than acceptable. Staff super !!!
