Absolutely amazing place to stay in Paje! Perfectly located on a beachfront, chill, amazing views, and super friendly staff. They also have a nice Ocean restaurant, food is really delicious!

The location was perfect. The beach was clean and expansive with a cool breeze always making the heat bearable..The staff especially Pamela from Restaurant was very accomodating and this matters to us especially when travelling with kids and ensuring that they get enjoyable meals. Housekeeping did a very good job and the room was clean especially bed linens and towels. The pool where we spent 80% of our time was clean and spacious..The food that was fresh and well prepared with generous portions..but the people who made the stay the best were the staff and supervisors who always asked about our welfare and always had time to talk to the kids and Fred and Pamela are the new friends they have from Zanzibar.Looking forward to another visit as this one was what a family holiday was all about..happy and relaxing

I havent stayed at this hotel, I only had dinner with friends here. And it was the BEST dinner during my 10 days holiday at Zanzibar!! We ordered a seafood platter and vegetables. The platter was huuuge and had every kind of seafood - lobster, crab, calamari, octopus etc. Vegetables were delicious. Seafood was grilled with some salt and lime juice, and it was soo tasty that we couldnt stop eating🙈 The service is excellent - very very nice people work there.Thank you guys for this wonderful dinner. Next time Im in Zanzibar Ill visit you every day))

Excellent service at any time of day. Nothing is too much trouble. Abel, Rehema, Roger, Wycleff, Fred are the friendliest, most accommodating people you will meet! My family are in love with this establishment. Food is lovely (ask for the spinach for breakfast!!!), varied, calamari and fish to die for, generous portions and promptly served. Beds are clean, firm, huge, comfy. I cannot fault the location, room size, service, cleanliness in any possible way!!! The only possible constructive criticism would be to consider some more healthy alternatives on the menu like soups, robust salads and lighter vegetarian options as Ive totally indulged myself in their comfort food! Ironically I would also suggest some dessert or ice cream options. But again, this is not indicative at all as we are in love with Ocean restaurant and these apartments! Weve checked out all the other accommodation and restaurant options down the beach and can happily report that this place has the best service, atmosphere and value of all!

I stayed at Paje Beach Apartments after my trip to Kilimanjaro and Serengeti to chill out, relax and recover. I couldn’t have made a better choice. The team around Abel and Fred has not only clean rooms right on the beach, excellent food, cocktails and friendly words on offer. They treated me like a son, and I wasn‘t the only one. During daytime the place on the beach gets a lot of guests from other surrounding hotels, since the atmosphere is so familiar, welcoming and relaxed. This place has a good soul, and this is because of the staff. You always feel safe, you‘re in the heart of Paje right on the beach and from the first minute on, you feel like you found a home far away from home. There‘s nothing more a solo traveller can ask for. Thank you guys, Asante Sana!

We stayed 5 nights there and extended for 4 more nights because we loved this place so much.quiet place but still lively and in the centre of everything, surrounded by Kitesurfing/Diving/Snorkeling/Beachvolleyball/Football Possibilities.Sweet rooms, lovely breakfast, amazing view, everything clean, reasonable prices, and the most important: the stuff is just wonderful and super nice and loving including Abel (Operation Manager) who helped us out with a good WIFI connection.THANK YOU to all the people who where involved in making our holiday to one of our best ones which we´ve had so far (and we are traveling a lot). We truly felt soo comfortable and happy at that place.We highly can recommend this hotel/apartment and will come back one day.Hakuna Matata!

A nice hotel at a very nice beach. The kitchen equipment was a bit dated but it contained all you needed. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made his best for us to enjoy our holiday. I can recommend this place.

We have come to the end of our magical holiday in Zanzibar and this is my second review of the Paje apartments from our trip.Its truly been our best family holiday. The weather has been perfect for all 11 days.The first half although windy was great and the wind was no issue for non-water sport enthusiasts.The second half the wind died down dramatically and so it was much warmer but the sea was exquisite with the tide being high most of the morning so a delight to swim in.The next door pool at Arabian apartments(same owner as Paje apartments) was where we spent most of our day, its the best spot for a family with small kids. Its also a few meters from the beach for a quick swim and has beautiful views.The food in Paje was surprisingly delicious.Mr Kahawi (2 min walk down the beach) was our go to for breakfast (also the BEST cappuccinos!), lunch AND dinner (they close the day area and have a wonderful restaurant in the adjacent building for the evening). Honestly, superb food, no alcohol served but bring your own from either buying at the bottle store in the village (much cheaper) or pop next door to Mahali for beer and wine to bring to dinner.Everyone supports each other so it makes it so much easier.Mahali is also good for food options and having drinks overlooking the sea. Very special!Right next door (to the left) of the apartment is Delight Zanzibar which serves the most outstanding pizza! No alcohol allowed there though, so if this is an issue take the pizza away.The Paje apartments were the best accommodation we could have asked for. The large, comfortable bedrooms and small kitchen with dining table and lounge area was a huge advantage with a small kid. We ate many takeout meals in the kitchen with a glass of wine after a long day in the sun.Abel and Wycliffe were the most wonderful hosts, nothing was a problem, to exchange money, help with directions etc. They are on WhatsApp so always able to help.We were particularly lazy and only did one excursion on our holiday, approx. 20 mins drive up north to Kae Funk, a gorgeous bar with day beds on the beach, which is a beautiful setting to watch the sun set. Definitely worth a little trip.My only wish would be that all the restaurant/resort owners would put money together and get the village people to clean along Paje beach each morning. Perhaps this would be a good gesture to give them some work to help earn money?There is sadly so much rubbish on the beach, from many empty water bottles (you cant drink the tap water, even to brush your teeth) to discarded shoes, clothing and worst is the broken pieces of glass we picked up every day.This is a holiday we will certainly be doing again, I would HIGHLY recommend a visit!Thank you Abel and all the staff at the apartments for a fabulous holiday! They done a good job renovating so you have a better view from the pool. To bad though they took away the socializing tables at the restaurant and placed the bar in the middle. Now there are not many people coming for dinner anymore. Last year the atmosphere was superb every evening for sunset. Now they only have those stone sofas which are super uncomfortable. I really hope they rethink the concept.

We chose this hotel to pack our bags for two weeks. Good, very generous breakfast, lovely smiling helpful and efficient staff. Beautiful ocean view, top security with in-room safe. Air conditioning in the bedroom, large bathroom, small kitchen for our apartment, everything is very calm while remaining alive. No less than 2 swimming pools with sea views and with a good restaurant. We highly recommend it to you because this hotel has a total of twenty rooms, which makes it ideal for resting.

Very nice apartment with good value for money. Spacious and clean room. 2 small bottles of water per day / person are provided.As for the breakfast, it is not diversified and not very generous, it is a shame.The restaurant is however excellent. It takes about $ 12 for a dish.2 small swimming pools are located in front of the beach.Several restaurants line this one, you have the choice. Shops are nearby.Paje beach is very pretty despite the tides we can still take a dip at low tide.

An excellent hotel, we lived in an apartment with a kitchen 5th room. Cleaned every day, it feels like the whole day. Change bed linen and towels every day! They poison mosquitoes every day, although there are very few of them here. Great pool, own restaurant - the best on the coast. You can pay by card. In general, an unexpectedly cool service in such a country. The reception was given a WhatsApp number, for any requests, the results really quickly react, for example, they bring a blanket or a knife. They bought fruits, ate vegetables at home. Well, thats all

We went to eat in a cafe, good atmosphere and food, prices as elsewhere on this beach, overall a pleasant experience.

I love it ..

An excellent hotel with a gorgeous beach, a good beach area with sun loungers, a bar, a restaurant, you can lie on a swing and sip a cocktail. We had a room - an apartment on the second floor, huge and bright, with a kitchen, which is very convenient, although We did not cook in the hotel restaurant, very tasty and everything is freshest. Tours were also taken at the hotel, they offered us the best price, but We bargained.A 5-minute walk from the hotel is a market where you can buy fresh fruits and any souvenirs. There were no mosquitoes. We really liked it there.

AC was not working. Cold water and shower with a trickle of water. Noisy in the evening and in the morning. Bar and pool next to the room. We requested repair of the air conditioning but without success ... friendly staff. Location and beach ok.I will not return to this hotel. Clean room but a bedside table and no bedside lamp. Not at all functional.

I liked very much, space ebbs, lunar paths. Great atmosphere! Nearby there are cafes and shops with supermarkets.

I love it, especially the wide variety of dishes they have.
