We spend our vacation in Casa Carlotta during 8 days, feeling like home, relaxing and enjoying. 3 minutes to the beach, the owners are so kind, they fixed a taxi for a good price, the chef cooked delicious breakfast every morning and they clean our room every day. if i ever come back to Zanzibar this will be the place. thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️

Perfect location to explore Nungwi and many restaurants nearby. The owners are so friendly and kind. Very clean stay and was offered to clean our room daily. Someone is also always present to open the main gate at any time of the day. Breakfast was decent too as assorted fruits, instant coffee, pancakes, and any type of eggs can be prepared for you. The villa is also VERY near souvenir shops and coffee shops. The owner also gave me a lot of information and advice on traveling around Zanzibar. We also took advantage of the kitchen that came with pots and pans and all the utensils you need to cook your own food. We cooked fresh fish that we bought from local fisherman.I hate to write something bad when the owners are so nice, kind accommodating, happy, and graceful, i have to write an honest review. There is a small hazard in the door jam. My back got cut/scraped when walking out the bathroom. The door jam (where door handle closes into the door jam…see the pic) has a long piece of metal sticking out. After cutting cut, i pushed the piece of metal inwards so future customers won’t get cut staying in this unit. Water and the Power often comes on and off, but i think this is a Zanzibar issue, not specifically the hotel. I also wished there was a ledge to separate the shower from the toilet and sink area, as water gets all over the floor after showering. Even with these small issues, i would still stay here again. I appreciate the hospitality from the owners and staff and i hope their business/villa flourishes.

I spent 4 days in casacarlotta. Thanks to the owners Mauricio and prisca we had an awesome stay, they were welcoming and made me feel at home. The staff also is incredible thanks emanuel who made us some extremely tasty breakfasts and thanks sara.

Scam. Dodgy Italian owner scamming tourist. Don’t stay there it would ruin your holiday. I didn’t stay there because you advertise a villa but the reality is a box room with no window. I can add a video of the Italian “owner” going crazy and begging me not to contact Airbnb. Admit your fault instead of being a dodgy scammer.

We booked 3 nights in a “Entire Villa” with view and we ended up with a first night in the smallest room ever (not enough space to open our luggage). The manager explained that we will get the booked villa the next day but at the end we only got a bigger room but we never got the “Entire Villa” with view because it simply doesn’t exist. None of the rooms has a view. What they call “entire villa” is the common space with kitchen and salon for all guest and staff.

A small gem just five minutes from the beach and next to the shops and pharmacy of the town. The owner is Italian and was very sweet, he and the Tanzanian lady were both very welcoming.Rooms are simple, but clean. Bring your own liquid soap, as theres only hard soap available in the place. Theres a kitchen which can be used by guests. Theres a simple breakfast in the mornings which was overall tasty. The garden was amazingly made and maintained, as its apparent from the photos.

I stayed 4 nights in casa carlotta and enjoyed my stay tremendously. The hosts are awesome, the house is just lovely, peaceful, very clean and feels like home. The room is spacious. About 5 mins walk to the nungwi beach. Great value. Definitely recommended.

This is a small boutique hotel. For its 3 stars, the service is simply superb. You feel at home. The hospitality of the hotel owners is top notch. Here you get complete relaxation.

I stayed at casa Carlotta for five nights - the villa is just a 5 minute walk from the beach, its clean with a kitchen and 2 good sized rooms both with ensuite. Looked after by a young family that are very friendly and welcoming. Amenities like supermarket are just 1 minute away walking. All at a good price too

Good, silent, confortable place

If you don’t want to get lost in the beach sound, it’s a good choice. The staff is excellent. Clean tidy. Manuel surprises me every morning with some juice, mango and melon with his dad. In order not to be unanimous, we have already taught us about fur bread and letcho.The about 160 meters until you reach the shore is not useless: 5 restaurants with a seamstress, 3 currency exchange, 4 orchards, a billiards shop with two liquor stores and 5 other shops.By the third day, we are greeting in advance.

Good afternoon . We are still arriving at this place. In terms of price and quality, everything is comparable. Very convenient location. To the sea, if you know how not to get around, walk 2 minutes, shops, pharmacy, restaurants 1 minute. The villa is located almost in the center. The room has air conditioning, fan, shower, toilet in perfect order. The water is always hot, they write that there is a problem with the light, but we did not have it. The bed is large and comfortable. The owners are helpful, nice people. Breakfast is monotonous. Two eggs, toast and something like a pancake to choose from, jam, nutela, honey. But, you can ask the cook, he will make an omelet or boil eggs. Fruit is eaten every morning, half a mango, pineapple or banana, watermelon. Juice one glass of avocado or mango. Any amount of coffee. Everything is clean, the yard is small, there is no territory, but everything is cozy. There is a shared kitchen and a refrigerator. You can cook it yourself. There is a service for washing clothes, for an additional fee. Cleaning is optional, we left a tip on the bed. The impressions of this place are good. We are still here and wish the owners prosperity in their business.

We couldnt find better accommodation, we really felt at home! The whole team super nice and helpful. We will come back for sure

We arrive at reception around 6:00 p.m., the man informs us nonchalantly that our room is no longer available and leaves without further information.We wait at reception for several minutes, the woman asks us to go see another hotel and disappears!To avoid despite the good advice received before

Intimate environment that makes you feel at home.The manager Maurizio has thought of everything.Furniture, rooms and common areas are always clean and tasteful.The dream villa ... we have left our hearts behind.A few steps from the sea, and a precious contact with the local village.
