Excellent hosts. They are very attentive while creating a great relaxed atmosphere. Wish I could have stayed longer. Great vibe for solo travellers looking to meet people. Thank you so much guys
If you looking for an beautiful home stay, where you not only sleep, rather experience the culture, feel the comfort, feel safe, helped with everything and very welcomed, than look no further! Sanaa Hostel will stay in my heart forever, a big thanks to the most lovely owners who actually really became friends :) and I recommend it highly to everyone!!
Amazing hostel! Staff really cares of your stay and seeks to get the best out for you. Good vibes!!
Best plan for backpackers. Sanaa is a great accommodation at the lowest price. At the heart of Stone Town, this humble hostel is run by two young brothers that really try hard to make it feel like home. For the price, the dorms are surprisingly spacious and clean with AC, fan, lockers, towels, etc. Super friendly and helpful welcoming, will come again.
The owner of Sanaa Hostel was able to create a cosy and comfortable atmosphere, in a place that feels more like a home than like an hostel. The location is perfect and the personnel super helpful (they helped us to rent a scooter and rented us a taxi for the day we were leaving). They also thought us how to cook ugali!
Amazing place where you can meet a lot of other backpackers. The guys how is working there is really kind and can drive you around if you need a lift. The 10$ Includes a bed, breakfast and a nice place to hang out with a great view. Will differently recommend this place to others.
It was the nicest accomodation to start your holiday. Both guys are fantastic, nice and if you need a hint, a taxi or anything else, those guys organize it.The rooms and the facilities are clean and the breakdast is awesome. The hostel is located close to the sea where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. You can reach all sights of Stone Town by foot from the location of the hostel. It is safe, has lockers in each room, Air Conditioned rooms and a nice bathroom.
Fabulous hostel with the best of hospitality of the funniest Farees. You’re gonna love this place 💚
Very clean and cozy hostel right in the heart of Stone Town! Farees, the owner, was very nice and tried to help with places to go/ tours to do at reasonable prices. Breakfast was very nice! All in all would definitely recommend the place 😊
Words don`t do justice to the amount of care and love i felt in this place. Like many said before, it feels like a home away from home. You get help with everything and anything - Trips, recommendations, even help with buying things and learning swahili - the owner Farees provides the best experience in Stonetown :) Amazing Breakfast, nice and airconditioned rooms & fair price for what you get.i will sure return again and again , thank you lil Sanaa Family
Amazing hostel! Super nice staff :) I had an amazing stay here and really felt at home ❤️ Asante sana 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Farees is the nicest person you can meet and he can give you all the recommendations for places to see and things to do. The hostel is in the city centre and all markets, museums, restaurants and the beach are just a stone throw away. Highly recommended! :)
I had such a brilliant stay here at Sanaa Hostel. It couldn’t be in a more perfect location in Stone Town, it’s close to absolutely everything. Farees and his friends were so kind and helpful from the moment I arrived, making sure I had everything I needed. They took us out on a local night out our first night there which was such a good introduction to Zanzibar. The hostel itself is so clean and comfortable, fully equipped bathrooms and kitchens. I need my endless supply of caffeine!I couldn’t believe they donate a portion of their profits to local orphanages, I don’t know another hostel that does that.
Thank you to Sanaa Hostel for giving me a great stay! I had so much a fun time with Farees and his friends, they were always so helpfull and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. We ate local swahili food they made for us and enjoyed some great nights out. I stayed much longer than I plan to! In my next voyage I will of course come to stay at Sanaa.
Great small hostel. Location is perfect and one should not be influenced by the dusty entrance stairs. Very good for budget trips. Very nice and friendly staff. I met wonderful people here. I came there to stay two times during my travels because I liked it so much. They even have a nice kitchen to cook.
Cheap and basic hostel, good for those who dont want to spend a lot and are satisfied. Good location, 3 minutes walk from the center and the promenade. Good breakfast. very dirty entrance staircase. Old and poorly functioning bathroom. The guys who run it are nice and kind.
Very good place, calm, good atmosphere, well located in the city center and very welcoming staff! I recommend.
We have been traveling through Zanzibar 3 friends and it has been one of the best experiences! The staff is super friendly and always attentive to everything! I highly recommend it !! It is in an area near the best beaches and the best environment. A ten!!
I really liked the Sanaa Hostel! The two hosts Faris and Meneje were our age (early 20s), and otherwise we were on the same wavelength. We lived a lot more with you instead of living with you. The two of them showed us their lives in Stonetown, so we went out with their friends in the evenings. They always helped us with questions and difficulties and we were often able to get everywhere with a friendly TukTuk driver at a friendship price, which made our stay a lot easier! The hostel was clean and well equipped. There was a very delicious omelette with bread and good coffee and tea for breakfast free of charge. They also cooked delicious meals for us a few times and ate with us, whereby we contributed to the costs, which were, however, very low.All in all, I highly recommend this hostel for a stay in Stonetown!
