Great surfing, beautiful clear blue water and well looked after by the surfteam. When you need more help, they are there for you! after surfing lessons there are fruit, it’s delicious!Protect yourself for the sun is crucial because you are in the water for a few hours. I surfed and enjoyed.Thank you aquaholics team!

Hab surf and kite Sessions here.Both with 2 different trainers which were all very nice, friendly, experienced and flexible.For surfing, they took us to the north and we drove by boat to a very nice spot. 55$ for sure worth it! Ask for the 3-1 special for 70$ with also snorkeling, price value rate us the highest for sure.The guide (Manu as well as Ismael(?)) directly saw if we were too exhausted to paddle against the current so they escorted us which was very nice so we could save the energy to paddle for the waves.For kite, I did 2 sessions and was very well!

The team at Aquaholics gave me as good of an experience I could have asked for. They are a super warm group that made me feel welcome. Their equipment is new, top-notch gear and felt every lesson was useful in helping me learn how to kite. 10/10!

I was a solo traveler during the Coronavirus escape and based myself at Aquaholics and rented a locker for my personal kite gear. I would like to thank the full team for making me feel welcome from the get go. Having worked in the tourism and adventure industry most of my life I was very impressed with the professional and friendly team. A special mention to Ali who helped me on the beach each time I was setting and packing up, so helpful and always happy! The Ocean restaurant and bar next door makes the perfect atmosphere between sessions. Cheers to Jake for taking me my first reef surf!! If you are heading to Paje I fully recommend Aquaholics. Weve booked a package including surfing lessons and the accommodation at ebb&flow. Weve been there in March 2021. The welcome was unfortunately not very warm. Nevertheless the hostel was calm, relaxed and clean.There was no connection with other surfers because the people changed almost every day. It also felt like the teachers where not very interested in making feeling everyone comfortable because it was the end of the season. The surfspot was not the best because of many corals and you had to go by car and by boat to reach the waves.All in all our expectations of a familiar and relaxing surf camp have unfortunately not been fulfilled .

Aquaholics is a little happiness ! The team is sO lOvely, everyone is special on its own. I did 2 weeks of surfing and, sincerely, everyday was a pretty adventure. I could improve my surf thanks to the everyday good advices. I noticed that all guests got much improvements day-by-day. I like them so much, that i went back a second time after a month :)

I am so glad I ended up kiting with Aquaholics! They have great equipment and all their instructors are really professional. In particular Emrah who helped me take my kite skills to the next level. We used walkie talkies which was a first for me and I loved it. The team there are a great bunch of people and I hope to go back some day!

Had the best Kitesurf trip there with them. Spent 2 weeks there and Brad , Jack and my dearest instructor Erhan were really friendly and I didn’t feel alone. Spends all my days with them At the school. Thanks to them and will see you in next season 🤙🏻

Kited here for 4 days with my wife, was the best shop on the beach! Their gear was in much better condition than the other shops, their staff was friendly and super helpful! Had a blast kiting with them, highly recommended

Fantastic day of surfing with Ryan and the two other guys (sorry cant remember the names!). Really easy to book the trip with Steffi, and because they forgot to collect us on the original day we booked they gave us a $10 discount which was a nice touch. The lesson itself was so much fun and we managed to stand and surf within 1 hour! A must do while along the east coast of Zanzibar.

Unfortunately, I can only partially share the positive experiences. First of all for the positive: the kite instructor and the whole crew was super nice. However, you really have to put in relation to the fact that you clearly pay European prices for the kite lessons and the hotel (we had booked a Kobi package). An hour costs about as much as in Germany. But the standard was pretty low. The kite instructor told me a few bars at the beginning, but was often busy kiting himself and giving me a thumbs up at the same time. At the end of the course, he was simply no longer found after a few hours. It was probably too exhausting for him to follow me downwind (at that time I could not keep my altitude). So I often ran up the beach alone at the end of the course.I then changed the teacher and things went much better. But what disappointed me very much: In the end, a course could not take place because there had been no wind for the past two days. In other schools, it goes without saying that you get your money back. Here I was only put off again and again by Steffi (the boss in Germany) (mail went under, Accounting actually not possible, but we can find a solution) until at some point I simply didnt hear anything. I find that more than weak.I therefore recommend you to look for another provider. And: I give you the tip to book on site. You dont have to be afraid that everything will be booked out there. There is more than enough of this in Zanzibar and you only pay half on the spot without a few managers in Switzerland or Germany holding hands. Within two days you will have met so many other kiters who can tell you exactly where to find good courses. I know two good kite schools in the immediate vicinity. Another tip if you want to book from here: do not go into the combined offers with overnight stays, because there are much nicer accommodations in the immediate vicinity. Check out on site which kite schools are good. You will find kite schools that support the locals and are much cheaper. And no, their quality and safety standards do not have to be worse! Even if this is always persuaded by the European kite schools. After two days I was extremely annoyed that I had booked the worse course with worse accommodation for a lot more money.I wish you a lot of fun in Zanzibar!
