Service : We are not in paje to be in a rush and its quite normal to wait here. But there... 60min for starters and 45 more for mains! Pole pole, alright, but nearly 2hours... even in Zanzibar, its too long. ;)To this, add some mistakes with our orders (never seen neither the spicy rice and veggies written on menus, nor the wine (but charged on the bill though).Food : the mezze was mezzo. We were as far as we are from Lebanon. The prawns and avocado tower was unfortunately too bland to compensate. Besides veggies/rice deceptions and the tandoori chicken that was as dry as a bone, mains were ok. Not enough to forget the long wait and mistakes. Especially with prices slightly above average.2 stars :One for the nice environment/garden, the other for spinaches and curry. For the rest, they really need to work to improve the experiment. Horrible service! The waiter didnt come to my table during entire dinner! I had to walk to the bar to order a drink and food. Totally ignored me. For the price they charge its unacceptable service. Its my second time here and I just came to enjoy the garden. First time I was there with my boyfriend and he went to complain to the owner about the same issue but nothing changed.

We didnt stay at the hotel but came for dinner twice during our stay in Paje. Enjoyed my meals thoroughly both times we ate here. Good selection of wines and very tasty pizza!Bring your mosquito repellent - as its set back and doesnt have that sea breeze there were quite a few and we were unprepared the first night.

Very expensive for the value you receive. $80 for 2 people? You could have all inclusive for this money on the north! This is Hyatt price for 4 people with breakfast in the US!Mosquitoes, dusty walkways - like in your grandma village. True price for it should be 20-25 dollars maximum. Better around $15. With breakfast. Beds are 175 cm long. This is less than average male height. These beds are for kids.One star extra added for not the worst food and clean sheets. This place looks better on photos than in reality. I wish I stayed next door for $24 or got one more night in Riu :(Generally - extremely overpriced.

We booked 4 nights in February. Due to private unfortunate circumstances (our privious hotel was flooded by heavy rain) we had to change travel plans. We spoke with the owner & asked to cancel the booking. This was somehow not possibke. But we were promised to get full refund if someone else would take our room. This was the case, so we kindly asked for refund. We did this several times via whatsapp and even called. The owner was always kind & promising that claudia would take care of this issue. Until today we did not get the promised refund. I understand thats pure good will, but i had your word and I think it was worth nothing.

Worst eating experience in enitre Zanzibar. Definitely the most expensive in Paje and not worth it at all. We had ordered 2 starters (samosa and mezze) and had 2 main courses (palak paneer and grilled veggie platter). Hummus fermented (not fresh at all) and starters far below any good taste. Palak paneer was tasty though. Grilled veggie platter nothing special at all. Pina colada drink somehow was far off from the taste I am used to in Paje. We were seated at 19:30. Starters served at 20:15 with pina colada and ultimately main course at 21:00 so if u r desperate to go there get ready for a waiting time. We have not tried a pizza there and maybe it was our mistake as they pretend to be experts in pizza. Definitely not experts in the food we ordered!

One of nices hotels in Paje near the beach. We stayed at king suite and it was very large, including the bed, which was nice. The pool had the coldest water in all Zanzibar, that is also very nice during hot days here. I would not exaggerate by saying that the breakfast was the best from all places we’ve stayed during 3 weeks. Every day you can choose from 3 types - classic, yoga or vegan. And fresh juice is always served together with the meal. The staff was also very nice and welcoming.

I can not recommend less. This is the first time in my life that I leave a restaurant without eating (and god knows I love restaurants). And lot of people left as well because of the waiting.Before all I would like to mention the fact that I have been in Zanzibar for weeks and I know that pole pole is the norm here, but this was just too slow this timeWe waited for 2 hours for pastas & a burger, which never arrived (despite the waiter telling us that it would be ready in 5 minutes, every 5 minutes). After confronting the manager, he told us that there were too many groups and everybody was too busy: honestly we were 30-40 no more.We went to the counter to pay for the drinks we had while waiting, and ask to cancel our food. They didnt even apologize and after another few minutes of waiting, they gave us a bill including stuffs we didnt drink. We paid for what we drank, I have to admit we were expecting a discount after such a nightmare ...

The restaurant is very pretty and the food is great. The service is very polite, but for sure not the fastest. Whenever there is more people you can wait for your food for an hour or two, so prepare to sit down for longer and enjoy your drinks. Its located a bit behind so it is protected from the wind, although this comes with the price of some mosquitoes. Credit Card payments are possible, but requires a lot of burden and leaving your full card number and CVV... + 5% fee. Anyway, one of the nicer places around.

Great staff, good food and just a short walk to the beach. Paje by night is located a little bit away from the beach but this allows for a quiet time away from the mass of tourists on the beach. The area has a very chilled out vibe. The beach bar is comfortable and offers snacks during the day if you want to spend your time at the beach and watch the kite surfers. I booked a yoga package and had two sessions a day with the most amazing teacher! Paje by night offers the perfect combination of sports and relaxation.

Overpriced. 80$ for a room which should cost 20-30 in my opinion. Kid sized beds. Mold smell, etc. Food was good. WiFi is only in common area(bar, pool).

Great place! The hotel is run by a lovely Italian family who is ready to chat with you and answer all the questions you may have regarding Zanzibar! The food is amazing (if you are a seafood lover, you must try the seafood pasta!) and the staff members are very nice and friendly. The place is quiet and well located in Paje. The hotel offers many day trips around the islands and they are cheaper than other places in the area.Paje by night is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing time with great drinks and great food. I highly recommend it!

Hotel is fine but the waiting at tje italian restaurabt is way too long. One hour minimum when youre so hungry after a full day in the water seems interminable. Pizzas and meat are good.

The happy place in Paje.This is the perfect location if you wanna combine relax with sports and other activities. The hotel provides the opportunity to attend yoga classes twice a day and has a kite surf school at the at the hotels beach House Cafè. This Cafè, located directly on the beach, provides gueats confortable sunbeds and a bar which serves among all dishes also delicious mango smoothies. The hotel has a good choice of breakfastst (I personally recommend the yogi one!)The staff is friendly and helpful.I would recommend this hotel to solo travelers since there are many guests traveling on their own to get in touch with.

I chose Paje by Night specifically for the yoga, and I an so glad I did. I travelled solo and was pleased to meet many others who did the same. Diklas yoga teaching was inspiring, and I learned a lot over the course of a week. I also had a private lesson with her which meant I could focus on certain things which helped my practice. I think Dikla is such an asset to the hotel!The rest of the team were all great. Theyre Italian, so Italian food on the menu is outstanding.Easy access to the beach, rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and the whole place has a nice tropical vibe. what more could you ask for!!

Food is great, but it took 2 hours to make grilled prawns and a pasta with oil. It would have been great if the managers would apolized, giva a discount or at least let us know it took longer. They didnt do anything and had their food earlier than the guests... a lot of guests walked away

Not what is expected,not on the beach as advertised. I arrived at 3 in the morning and there was no water in the room or place to get water .You can not be in this tropical heat without water. My room did not have airconditioner only a fan.The next morning I had to pay an additional fee to be moved to a room with airconditioner,and only then was there water in the room,in a thermos flask. No fridges to keep anything cold.

The best restaurant on the coast! The octopus melts in your mouth. The fish is gorgeous, not overcooked, as they like in Zanzibar. Rosemary potatoes are delicious! Great salads. Great service! And pretty fast for Zanzibar! And monkeys are jumping in the garden)

5-star resort, restaurant with excellent menu, located 20 meters from the most beautiful beach in Zanzibar, enhanced by the skilful management of Claudia and Massimiliano, capable of directing a caring, professional and always attentive staff to each customer. It was an unforgettable holiday, I recommend it only to those who want to forget the stress of everyday life and unplug it for a few days.

Wonderful hotel with simple but very nice rooms. Clean area, comfortable beds and great bar / restaurant. The food is excellent, also a great idea, at breakfast the day before to choose between menus. There is something for everyone. In the second row to the beach, it is very fast there. The yoga package is worthwhile, very intense but excellent yoga sessions. I will gladly come again!

The few hotels with air conditioning in their rooms. Price setting is high around here, but I think that there is also a feeling of cleanliness and good. The sea is at hand. There are several hotels in the area and there is a restaurant, so its not a problem to eat. The place to get a BADI license for scuba diving is next door.

Super nice here. Everything made with great attention to detail. Yes, everything is no longer new, but everything fits.Great staff and many nice guests. Rooms are great. 20 m to the beach and that is how every Zanzibar imagines.Everything about kiting available and water sports anyway.Boss is very helpful and omnipresent.
