Very friendly staff ( as all people in zanzibar), always with a smile in his faces. Very helpfull.Th place is simple and beautiful, not luxury, but with an luxury view. hotel, restaurant and rooms just infront the beach. privacy 100%, each room is so spacious and is like a small separate cabins, so u dont get disturb from other guests. I just loved the place.1 inconvenience, no wifi in the room. Rest, all is perfect.
Excellent stay. Staff really friendly and helpful, helped to organise my birthday and it was made extra special by staff. Food really good especially vegetarian options. Room clean. Beach beautiful. Hotel dogs well looked after and friendly.
Very relaxed and beautiful lodge. The restaurant serves very nice food, fresh and tasty. The rooms are being redone from wood to solid which makes sense as the wooden ones are shifting. The view is stunning and what a pleasure to walk 2 steps from the room and find yourself in the ocean
Our stay in Zanzibar was amazing. The only thing which was not very nice was the room (chalet) - zero facilities and bed is not comfortable, room is very small, dont book the cheapest room, they have family rooms much better. But when you wake up in tbe morning with the ocean sound and see the ocean from your bed - you forget everything, all things which are uncomfortable. It is a paradise. Great escape from everything. Food was good, staff also. Problems where with the shower and hot water - sometimes water was not there
We are just completing a 14 day holiday at the Kinazi. The staff here are amazing. Friendly and kind and nothing is too much trouble. The beach here is stunning and the seas crystal clear. Nacho who runs the hotel is a lovely guy who always makes you feel special. We will come back here one day and i would recommend the Upepo Beach to anyone.
Not worth the money at all.Coming to the area was first thing, lots of garbage around, but it is general problem of many countries. Staff was friendly, they even prepared our room earlier. While waiting for the room to be prepared it was perfect, right on the beach, under the palms. But then room was ready and we came inside and that was when good part ends. Bungalow/cottage had its best time long ago e.g. mildew on the wall, rusty fan, etc. No AC, when in rooms from 50$ you are expecting it. There were also renovated bungalows, but I dont have no experience. For this price you can get better hotel, in Jambiani or in Paje also. All you are paying for is sea view and location on the beach, which is true, but I think its not enough. If I look for accomodation in Paje, I will not choose or recommend this one.
Staff was good. Overall its okay but i think its a bit overpriced.Good location though. If you like to kite surf, its the perfect place
The green/red curry was closer to a soup than a slurry. Overall, my group felt regretful eating at their Thai restaurant.
Fantastic hotel, right on the beautiful beach of Paje. Perfect hospitality, clean, value for money. Highly recommended!
Bookings a bit chaotic but the staff are very friendly and helpfull. Good breakfast and dinners also of goof quality.
Good place if you want to enjoy Paje. Quite clean, big bed, ocean view. Good breakfast.
Super friendly staff, nice simple rooms on the beach.
Absolutely stunning! Friendly staff, very safe and just beautiful nature.
Staff is helpful, food is good. However hotel is overpriced
Is very good place Accomodation is very Wonderfull
Beautiful sea view, love it
Simple hotel and best price
Bad place
Good: Good service, clean houses, clean area, friendly staff, good breakfast. The first line! A few steps to the ocean.Wants to be the best: wifi from the bar does not reach all the houses, you need an amplifier. The hammock is there, but torn. Some doors need to be repaired.
Booked months in advance, arrived after days of walking it was the place where we had to rest, our oasis, instead a constant mockery. Working with my boyfriend and hotel and with people we know very well what overbooking means and the first night in another small room full of ants and spiders we accepted it without problems or discussions, only one night out of three can stay there, at the first breakfast we arrive with backpacks and bags prepared and tell us that we did not have the bungalow even for the second night but that for the last night surely they would have given us what requested, the next day AGAIN with bags and backpacks ready we go to have breakfast, the managers pretend not to smile when, after a bit annoyed siaml went to ask we were told that they were waiting for the booking man at 4pm because even today there was no room !!! Man of what?!?! A NON-EXISTING PERSON! We decided to look for another hotel for the last night, we traveled a lot but I never witnessed anything like this, every day I redo my backpack and get everything ready to be teased .. they were the only days when we had to relax and get ruined! Nice way to put the customer FIRST.
I had booked this structure in May to stay in August, I had also written several times to ask for information and communicate our arrival time and they always answered me. As soon as we arrived instead we were told that the room was not there even though I had booked on booking and moved us to another facility. We had 3 nights at prentato Kinazi Upepo and instead we did two nights at Kilima kidogo (the structure where they moved) changing room for both nights because it was also prentata it and there was no availability for the two nights and last night in Kinazi Upepo. In summary of three nights every night we changed rooms without ever being able to unpack. I think this is absurd. At the time of payment I demanded the discount and I was only given a ridiculous 30usd (even the price of one night). therefore despite the location the SCONSIGLIO IS ABSOLUTELY nice
Excellent value.Magnificent and lively spot, spacious bungalows, feet in the water, friendly staff, good breakfast. We toured the island and Paje and the Kinazi are our favorites.Go for it!!!!
Beautiful location with bungalows overlooking the Indian Ocean. The bungalows are neat and clean, although the faucet in the bathroom turns, and sometimes the water leaks under the sink. The staff is comfortable and good. The breakfast is simple, but sufficient. If you are looking for a local Zanzibar atmosphere, without great luxury but with very nice staff, I recommend this place.
Eco friendly hotel, but very functionalBungalow with sea view, sunbeds and umbrellas available to customersRoom cleaning twice a dayLuxury is not to be expected, it remains a wooden hut with relative slots and the toilet hidden behind a bulkhead, therefore recommended for those who open essential thingsPlenty of hot and cold waterPerfect for kitesurf lovers, you are directly on the spot
The attention of the staff is very good. The installations look very good from a distance, but they have many constructive details that disenchant. The people who work there are very kind. The owners of this establishment should improve the facilities and decorate them better.
It is not a 5-star hotel but the location makes this property a piece of paradise
Best service, super nice bungalows right on the beach / turquoise blue sea.
Good. Interesting bungalows. I like it.
Very private and relaxing place
Spacious bungalows with terrace
Great place and nice staff! I advise
Good food but long service time
Abdul good man!
