The best part of this little hotel in Jambiani is the food. If you cannot get a room, them come just for the restaurant. I sincerely had the best included breakfast in Zanzibar here. I once paid extra for the bacon bat OMG it was worth it, nice and crispy like I make back home. Very friendly couple who run the place as well. Cheers

I went twice to the restaurant - one night after the other! Such a beautiful, airy space. Lovely music and atmosphere, with really delicious food. Have the tiramisu! The Italian owners are great too. Cant wait to return :) 100% recommend.

We went only to the Restaurant, is in a terrace in jambiani and has a Great decoration and atmosphere. Is Italian owned and most of their menu options are pasta. we had a sea pasta and crab pasta.

I was been last december 2022 , I stated 15 with my Friends. My room I love it so much very clean and safe. I slept solemnly and peace very relaxing and magical views. Gadea residence Staff they are all neat humble and kind.... foods very fresh specially Seafoods, tropical fruits and Spaghetti home Made. Fantastic plates very decorative.. the restaurant very magical, Brillant, you can view the beauties of the sea!My friends we are all satisfied and enjoy, we swam in the swimming pool every Day night swimming so on!The owner Madam annalisa and sir David. I am proud to say I have eaten there more than ten times and still counting, currently heading there for dinner. After living in Rome as a child, I have tremendous love for Italian food. This has caused me many issues as I struggled to be impressed by most Italian restaurants outside of Italy. For the first time since my last visit to Rome, with my first bite of their incredible pasta, my senses were sent back to my favourite restaurant in Rome.Since then I have now tried almost every pasta on their menu, I have also tried 2 of their incredible steaks amongst other items on the menu. I have to say Im impressed every time I go there, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The owners are a lovely Italian couple, so friendly and make magnificent hosts.I imagine I will be eating there at least one meal a day for the rest of my stay in Zanzibar.I will definitely be back again on my next visit to Zanzibar.

We went for Christmas dinner and it was super nice. The Neptuno Antipasti was delicious and pasta was nice. Prices were reasonable and the owners welcoming and kind. Prices were in USD dollar and a commission of 5% was charged when paying by card (this is the case of many restaurants on the island).

My favourite spot in Jambiani!Eating food in Gadea is like being at home. Regardless from the quality of the ingredients, everything comes with attention to details and is amazingly cooked.Grazie to Annalisa & Davide for this little corner of joy they made! Highly recommend!

Very unconfortable bed in the room. There is no place for clothes. No fridge. No bed nets for mosquitos, so most probably you will wake up with some bite.The breakfast is very oily and its the same every day.

The place is runned and managed by this two wonderful Italian couple 💑. The wife and husband just compliments each other and are just wonderful at what they do. The food is authentic Italian 😋 and the vibe is just like u are living with family. Dont miss all the cats they are just wonderfully looked after by the hotel owners and are well fed.

As most reviews indicate, this is definitely a must when staying in Jambiani. Use of local produce on Italian dishes. Lovely tiramisu. Pasta alle vongole was excellent. Should cut on salt perhaps ;)

We didnt book a room at the hotel, but went there for dinner. The ambiance of the restaurant is one of the best in Zanzibar and the food is even better. It reminded us of Italy and definitly a place you should visit if you are in Jambiani. The owner is also very helpfull and friendly and helps you with makes choses if you dont know which delicious course yoh should take.

My family visited the restaurant yesterday evening.Firstly on entering the property I was amazed and impressed with the quality of the surroundings, the cleanliness and the welcome we received from the warm friendly team.Although slightly set back from the sea front, the elevated position of the restaurant allows for sea views and quite frankly its such a beautifully decorated area that you barely notice anything else.Lovely music playing creating a great ambiance.Such a great selection of soft drinks, cocktails and beers to choose from.The food is out of this world, a lot of thought has gone into creating the menu and all pasta is homemade and created with love and passion from the kitchen.Service was excellent, timing was very good, we will certainly be returning to sample more of everything on the menu.Well worth seeking out this place for a great Italian dining experience... A little gem on this beautiful island paradise!

We came to see this place because of the looks of it, the beautiful and original decoration really catched our eyes and although I allways prefere to eat local food on my travels, we ended eating three times here at the little piece of Italian heaven with amazing atmosphere, very polite and kind staff and owners and without exaggeration the best pasta I’ve ever eaten in my life. Please do yourself a favour and visit this place. I’m still thinking about the homemade spaghetti with meatballs one week later!

Very well maintained place. Nice small pool. Clean rooms. Very comfy bed. Clean bathroom with hot water. Rooms are missing AC and it can be hot inside. Breakfast was delicious. 1 minute walking to the beach. Lots of restaurants and little local shops around.

Really lovely place very close to the sea. Rooms with all comforts, spacious and clean around a beautiful swimming pool and solarium area. Annalisa welcomed us and was super kind and welcoming. The Residence alone is already a beautiful and delightful discovery but the real pearl is the restaurant ... Absolute Superlative! You eat divinely both Italian cuisine (with high quality Italian products) and fusion. Sincere congratulations to Davide who really put his soul into it: when simplicity meets passion and quality, the result can only be surprising. Small residence with swimming pool with lots of well-kept plants and palm trees. Excellent breakfast based on fresh fruit juice, eggs, fruit, yogurt, chapati, jam, cake, avocado, coffee ...... cappuccino.Super recommended restaurant, fresh pasta dishes seasoned as you like with a choice of fresh fish, mussels and vongolec bolognese. complete dish for 2 people. Also try the crab with ginger, the tower with all the fresh fish available. Excellent selection of Italian wine, falanghina, pinot grigio, vermentino. Excellent choice, Davide and his guys super very kind and helpful.

Accommodation in the studio nice, however the mattresses are the worst that can be. They are from a memory mattress that does not come back at all and huge holes are created, you are incredibly broken in the morning. The next night we slept upside down, ie our legs protruded, but much better. Bathroom very nice, but again minus, the curtain that sticks to you when showering, so a better choice is not to use it at all and better to have wet.Pool great, only warm l, sunbeds available, but only by the pool. There are none by the sea. Breakfast is TOP. The best. Other dishes from the menu are very expensive for local conditions.The receptionist and the owners are kind and helpful. Great was also a welcome drink.Standard rooms do not have a refrigerator or Klima.

Cash, cash, cash.I had a very bad experience with my 13 night stay at this hotel.When I made my reservation, I paid 50% of my stay online.Arrived a day early because of the Covid, Annalisa generously kept us and billed us for a room Before getting our room with Pool View.It was when we arrived that things got complicated.Emirates has cut all return flights to Dubai, so I asked Annalisa if we could work it outBefore paying for the second week, due to the fact that I could leave at any time.I got a flat refusal, telling myself that if I didnt pay for the second week, she would put my room online to re-let it.I have to admit that I found this approach a bit cavalier.We had a studio in front of the swimming pool.This one was very correct even if the SB turns out to be too small. Impossible to fit in with 2 people.Cleaning is done daily and with quality.Please note that some studios have air conditioning, others do not. Be sure to ask for this.The restaurant is very good but divinely long, I mean divinely long.Nothing is prepared in advance. We start preparing your dish to order.Allow an hour to be served.No Wifi in the rooms, thats for sure. The recent improvement of this system gives you good reception on the terraces but not in the rooms.To finish my story, we left 3 days early, Annalisa still made me pay for these 3 days, a gift of 360 €.Not even a commercial gesture, not even a deduction from the meals I had at the restaurant…..I had to pay them in full.Shame on you Annalisa, shame on you because you dont understand the situation we are in right now.I wish you to have many couples who request a stay of 12 or 13 nights in your establishment.Stéphane and Laurence you must remember

We had dinner at the restaurant twice. We loved our experience. Delicious fresh dough, cocktails also and impeccable service. The staff and the boss are lovely and the prices are more than correct for Zanzibar.(1 cocktail + 1 bottle of wine + 3 pasta dishes + 2 desserts = 66th)We highly recommend!

I advise you to go there with your eyes closed! The place is ideal for couples or families. The place is simple, very beautiful and above all very clean. The restaurant is amazing, everything is homemade with love. The hosts are available and very helpful. The beach is barely 1min away by taking a mini passage. Everything is well written, no tracking problems. Several other people not residing in the hotel come especially for the restaurant 👌

Nice environment. We recommend Apartments by the pool (studio). They are calm. Just watch out for the ants that get through the closed door.The lady exchanged our Standard room, where there was too much noise for the Studio. The pool here is also amazing and cooks great.

New location just finished and perfect to spend a holiday in perfect autonomy and freedom, the residence is equipped with a few well-kept, clean and independent rooms, we have inaugurated when it was not all fully up to date but we had a great time anyway.the small kitchenette and fridge allows you to have maximum freedom and decide whether to eat in local restaurants or prepare yourself to eatthe splendid swimming pool, excellent alternative for the moments of low tide in the lagoon.the staff and the owners very kind and available to satisfy your every request.top 5-star location for the Jambiani media

Excellent location to spend a quiet holiday with all the comforts at hand, sunbeds, swimming pool, beach 1 minute from the residence, mini market 50 m and just outside Kim resturant where you can eat if you do not want to cook or like us order breakfast and have it brought directly out of the room.Annalisa and Davide always ready to satisfy every need, thanks to them we visited fantastic places.We will be back again!
