Octopus and calamari that was what we like the most during our staying in Jambiani. Different cooking styles such as curry source, grilled or fried. We went to Poa Restaurant few times. Foods was delicious. Main course come with potatoes chips or rice. Person who served us was friendly.

Very nice local restaurant with fair pricing (about half the price of the hotel restaurants) and delicious food (see pic).We went there for dinner and almost turned around because we thought it was closed - don‘t get fooled by the dark shed right at the beach, you have to walk in a bit to reach the restaurant!

I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. Friendly service, food is fresh and good. They are known for their grilled octopus it is plentiful and bang for your dollar. I recommend this place for your or dinner eats.

Great prices, food is tasty and the waiter was friendly and nice. Four stars because we had to wait more than 1.5 hours for our food, otherwise good value for money! Luckily they have (probably) the most affordable Savannah on the island so that kept us entertained.

We had lunch at Poa restaurant and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The waiter was friendly and recommended us different dishes on top of the menu. The calamari salad and tuna steak were tasty. I can only recommend this place. We paid about 20 usd for the lunch for 2 with 2 beers.

We spent 2 weeks in Jambiani and the Poa Restaurant was our favourite!!! Great staff and delicious food! We almost eat there each days for the lunch and order some take away for the dinner, it was always delicious! Thanks guys, you contribute to make our holidays just perfect!

Absolutely amazing! The restaurant is not directly at the beach and requires a small walk (1 min). At first we weren’t sure if we were in the right place, it looked like a part of a private property, but the owner welcomed us in.They had vast choice of food and drinks (EVEN COKE LIGHT AND ZERO!!). As a starter we had a avocado octopus salad, which was simply delicious, the avocado was fresher that we usually find in Germany 🤣 then we moved on to the main dish, the fish platter for two had the most delicious sea food we have ever had: well seasoned, with jumbo prawns, 2 big ‘racks’ of fresh calamari, fish fillets, octopus, and grilled veggies. The best restaurant there is nearby, thats for sure.

Wanted something easy. Opted for fish curry. Served within 20 min, which was surprisingly fast. But Id rather wait a couple of hours than having been served with this disgraceful dish. Not much like curry, more lika a ketchup based sauce with a few pieces of two different veggies and a hard to chew fish, which I couldnt stomach. At least rice was edible, as it was plain.One of the worst dishes Ive had, unfortunately.When paying, handed 20k to the waiter, overpayed 3k. Refunded only 2k back. Had to remind him he needed to give me back another 1k. Could have been an honest mistake, but such mistakes are pretty rare on the side of businesses.Not coming back, will try to forget ASAP.

RecommendationWe had vegetable Samosa as starter and for main lobster and fried calamari. Food was very tasty. Ali was a very nice and friendly host. We felt very welcome and would definitely visit again!

What an incredible surprise to find this restaurant hidden behind and above the Villas. The food was excellent together with the service. The cost was extremely inexpensive. The menu is for everyone. Could not recommend more highly.

Tuna carpaccio and octopus salad are outstanding!Octopus was cooked to perfection. Best food on the island—we ate here twice with only two days staying in Jambiani. If you like spice, ask for fresh pili pili on the side :)

Amazing place, we discovered it quite by accident while at the Ifa Beach hotel - the kitchen knocks you on your knees, we have never eaten such a good lobster, in 3 days we ordered several dishes and they were all delicious.The very nice owners and the waiter Hakim - they are just starting this business - we keep our fingers crossed for them!Basia - if you are reading this, we will come to Polish broth on Sunday :)

It seems that different people cook, because I had the same dish, but served and seasoned differently. So it all depends on whos in the kitchen. Sometimes a good spiny lobster, other times almost raw. Or raw fries. It takes a long time. Nice waiter.

Delicious seafood in every form. Octopus, calamari, fresh fish for a really reasonable price. I have been to the restaurant several times and never disappointed. We tried various restaurants in the area, but this one is by far our favorite. There is a bit of waiting for food but we were in no hurry, quite the opposite. Kindest and lovable Kim the waiter. We highly recommend it.

Beer at 5.000. The ocean view is super. Nice to sit on the second floor in the shade, under an African roof. You will be looking for this place, looking for a black slate board with a menu. On the front page you will find only a branch on a tree)) you need to go inside. There will be a guest house and a restaurant on the second floor. You can wash your feet after the beach. Polite and pleasant staff, which is rare here). I definitely recommend it!

Great place, not a hut on the sand. A couple of tables with the coolest view. The food is delicious and the portions are really larger than in most places. Prices, of course, can be found a little cheaper, but there will be a hut with a fly and, without music, and in the style of Hakuna Matata

Delicious octopus cooked in curry sauce and coconut milk. The rice is also delicious. Fast service. Recommend the place. And the mango smoothie is delicious. Just like in Thailand.

A very nice evening in this restaurant! We ate wonderfully. By day there is a nice view of the sea. The fish was fresh (caught just in front of the restaurant) and a discovery of the local cuisine! The food is always delicious, the seafood is fresh. Have been to this restaurant many times, rarely where you will be served cooked fresh, not frozen octopus nearby, Poa is always fresh.

A charming view of Jambiani beach, local cuisine, well balanced, fresh and tasty. And especially, a radiant, warm, smiling and pleasant service. The typical welcome of Jambiani. I recommend without hesitation.

Lights and shadows ... My partner ordered a fish burger and it was pretty good, I had squid and they were hard and not very good. It took a long time to serve us and that there was only one more couple (pole pole)
