Great hotel, great experience, great stuff. It was a pleasure to stay there and we would love to stay even longer. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well furnished. Breakfast at the beachfront is very good with a large variaty of choices. We especially liked the outdoor cinema evening in the garden.

More than just a hotel, an experience !We had the best bedroom, with an amazing view , on the beach and the swimming pool. The bed was comfortable and the room super clean, decorated in a typical material but still modern. The service was perfect in the room but also outside. The restaurant serves amazing typical food but also international with a local taste. The staff is amazing and makes you feel home . You forget about everything and your habits. You just enjoy your holidays and disconnect with your daily life.A special thanks to Laura and Tyron (my dress saver!) who knew how to make our trip even better taking care of everything with no pressure and 100% of confidence.I highly recommend this hotel ! I think this is the best hotel on the east coast. Nice staff, delicious cuisine, incredibly beautifully decorated rooms, everything is done with taste and love. the only thing I wish for is that I stayed here for just 12 days.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Everything is thought out till the last detail. It is also brand new and all the interior and exterior are well maintained and sparkling clean. We stayed in the room with the extra space and the bath tub (dont remember the name of the suit) and it was definitely worth the extra splurge. The space is amazing and very romantic for a couple. Keep in mind that the shower and bathtub are in the same area with the bedroom, so it isnt suitable for friends traveling together. We needed to ask for an extra blanket as there was only a sheet provided for the bed, but it was not issue at all. The breakfast was freshly made from a breakfast menu which we loved (we are not fans of buffet breakfasts....) and the restaurant was very accommodating with my special gluten free diet. They serve a lovely menu with everything freshly made and daily specials according to the catch of the day. The only thing which took us a bit of a getting used to was the general pole pole attitude at the restaurant :) meaning that orders took a little while to come even when no-one else was there. With all this we loved our servers especially Glory and George, they were all lovely and accommodating.

Incredible to say the least. There is a reason for having a rating so high. Staff and management is the best I have ever experienced, always willing to go beyond your expectation. All day breakfast is just a bonus. Ask for advice and activities and they will sort you out with whatever your heart desires.

We were no guests at the hotel, but in a hotel in the neighbourhood. We came by and asked if we could spend a couple of hours at their place.We were welcomed and had a great time.Cant say anything bout the rooms, but the pool area is very cozy and comfy and the staff incredibly nice and friendly, always smilin.Pool is clean, like the whole restaurant area and the restrooms, and a great place 2 chill and spend a day or more.Can highly recommend this place.From germany, couple, no children, in holiday.

Wow wow wow what can I say, PARADISE! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and has a lovely team who we’re always on hand to help. Laura the manger was sooo nice and helped us with recommendations, getting cash (hard to find in Paje!) and taxis. Passion also does a great breakfast that is included in the price of the night. The location is also perfect, been in between Paje and Jambiani gives quick access to both. I’ve stayed in a lot of 5* hotels and resorts in my time and I can honestly say I couldn’t fault Passion and the team. The only recommendation would be to add eggs Benedict or florentine to the breakfast menu ;) Thanks again to the whole Passion team. We will be back! 😍

My wife, 4 year old son and I had a wonderful time at Passion Boutique Hotel this July (2021)! We already knew the delightful Laura, the owner from our previous stay on the island -- when we stayed at Jambiani Villas back in November 2020. Laura was super helpful and happy to help us, and she gave us one of the biggest rooms overlooking the beautiful ocean. Ty, the new manager, was fantastic in all aspects of his service to us -- amazingly friendly and attentive without being intrusive, he organised our stay to perfection along with some great food that we personally requested as vegans and raw foodists. We definitely had a lot of great conversations along the way, and our son had a wonderful time playing with one of the Masaai who took a shine to him. We were sad to leave but we will definitely be back. This is a freedom loving hotel, with relaxed vibe, so highly recommend if you want to escape the insanity of this present-day world.

Really beautiful and comfortable brand new boutique hotel right at the beach. We just loved our spacious room with sea view. It’s very comfortable, nicely furnished and thought through down to the details. The breakfast is delicious and staff is really friendly. The hotel manager Laura is so nice and helpful!! If you go to Zanzibar and at Jambiani Beach I think that’s the best hotel for you . The location is the best from everywhere. Every person there from the stuff or from the kitchen is so friendly and nice. And Laura the manager . That’s the best good person how I ever seen in my life . My stay in Passion was outstanding!Let’s start with the view to the beautiful Indian Ocean’s coast and Jambiani beach.My room had a ocean view so I loved to chill at the terace,enjoy it and reading one of the books that you can easily find everywhere in the hotel.I had a feeling that I’m visiting friends at their house- Laura was the kindest person that I ever saw in my life. She was very helpful and she was making sure that every second that we spend in Zanzibar will be memorable!The staff was amazing - the bardenders,the receptionist and the housekeeping was extremely educated and nice with every single person.Make sure that you will get pancakes with passion fruit ( guilty me ,gain 2 kilos cuz I was eating them for breakfast,lunch and dinner). We stayed at three different places during out stay at Zanzibar and Passion was the most warming and loveliest of them all. From the first step through the door until the last minute spent there was a total bliss. It is close enough to the island life but far enough to not disturb your stay in the least.

Lovely little restaurant overlooking the beach and the ocean. Truly nice management that warmly puts the guests in focus. Food and prices (in USD) a bit of a disappointment though. Decent food but far from memorable. Quite overpriced, but located in an area where every single restaurant, and hotel for that matter, seem severly overpriced.

Best service! Best food!When we came to dinner for the first time, the restaurant was booked out. In order to still be able to entertain us, another table was set up without further ado. I have seldom experienced so much commitment and friendliness as here. Apart from that, the food has always been outstanding. Fortunately, we discovered the restaurant at the beginning of our vacation and kept coming back.

The most beautiful hotel I have ever been! Everything was perfect.The setting, magnificent, one of the most inspiring decorations.The staff was very nice while being discreet at the same time. Whether managers or employees, I have very good memories of our discussions. I was unfortunately ill during the stay and the managers brought in a very efficient doctor and took care of me as if I were a member of their family.The food was delicious, there was something for everyone.Jambiani is a quiet area and not touristy which is very very pleasant.I recommend 10,000%

The hotel is just gorgeous. We were here for a week and were completely satisfied. The service was excellent, everyone always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible and to help us directly with questions.The hotel complex is very nice and very well-kept, especially the pool is great. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is varied, fresh and available all day. The location for a relaxing beach holiday is perfect and water sports fans will also get their moneys worth here.We visited the restaurant quite often in the evening because the food was delicious and the menu is very varied. A private dinner with lots of flowers was even organized for a particularly beautiful evening.We can only recommend that you plan a few more days to relax here, we have rarely been in such a well-run hotel. We felt absolutely at home here, because we were treated very warmly here and the price-performance ratio is almost unbeatable.Thank you for this unforgettable time 🐚🤍

We were only visitors to the restaurant during our stay in Zanzibar and are big fans of the great offer!Incredibly friendly service, very tasty food and extremely courteous!We went to a few restaurants nearby, but by far our favorite was passion.The fact that the bosses eat there regularly in the evenings and inquire about the well-being of the customers / guests was extraordinary.Unreservedly recommended :)

For those who dont have that much time to read my review, here is the short version: We were at the Passion Boutique Hotel for our honeymoon and we were really very satisfied and would have loved to stay!Here are the individual points in more detail:1. Room in the hotel:We stayed here for 8 nights. The room was large and the view of the ocean breathtaking from every point in the room. From the bed, from the shower, while brushing your teeth. Really wonderful. The pillows were great, the bed was very comfortable for me! But these are all points that can be found in many other hotels and are possibly also a matter of taste. The service that is rendered to the guests here was really outstanding. No wish was refused and we felt very regal. Many thanks to Laura and the entire great team!2. Restaurant:We actually really enjoy trying out the local restaurants on vacation and eating somewhere different every evening. There are also some nice restaurants in the area, but in the end we ended up eating in the hotels own restaurant most evenings. The food was of very high quality and very tasty. The food was always very nicely presented. As is well known, the eyes eat with and here you really enjoyed it. Yes, sometimes you waited a little longer for your meal, but thats the case all over Zanzibar. Just Pole, Pole :) In view of the stressful and hectic everyday life in German culture, I found that very refreshing and the wait was always worth it. Much more important, the service staff was always very friendly and courteous. While waiting, you can simply enjoy the sea view and the delicious drinks.3. Massage in the hotel and other excursions:In addition to the rooms, the hotel also offers a lot of entertainment. Movie nights, picnic trips. You can also book day trips through external parties or even a massage in your room or on the hotel roof top. Overall, you wont get bored. I can warmly recommend the massage! The best hotel massage Ive ever had.All in all, just a wonderful honeymoon!Thanks for that :) I hope we can come back soon with some extra time to learn kitesurfing. Tempted by the ratings here, I went to the restaurant. I ordered seafood in masala sauce, a specialty from Zanzibar. After a long wait, I got a bowl with a pile of rice inside and seafood sauce all around, which consisted only of pieces of rubber - long cooked - octopus. All in a very bland sauce. To my attention that seafood is also something other than just octopus, the waiter suggested that maybe they would do it again. I thanked him, because that rubber octopus did not bode well for any good and the waiting time. And this bowl costs $ 18. In the center of Berlin, this dish can be obtained much cheaper and is much better in terms of quality. Besides, the prices on the menu show that this is the most expensive restaurant in the area. But I was ... and will never be there again.

Superb place.Large rooms, suite if you wish, beautiful swimming pool overlooking the sea as well as the restaurant which serves quality dishes at very reasonable prices.The staff are super friendly and available.The managers are present and exchange a few words at each meeting.There is also the roof stop.

Exceptional experience in this sublime small hotel on the edge of one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar.Elegant, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch and even dinner.Large bed on the seafront and deckchair by the pool this direct access to the ocean is heavenly.But above all, if youre looking for the definition of hospitality, youll find it here.
