The room was perfect with an ocean view, the staff is always friendly and smiley. The hotel is nicer in person than on the pictures. The food is incredible, beautiful breakfast and amazing pizza. Our favourite is with frutti di mare. The owner and managers are great as well and very helpful.Definitely staying here again next time! 💓

Not exactly 4*. The rooms need a bit of update. Swimming pool is cool when tide hits. Excellent food. Italian restaurant. Attentive management but stuff could pay more attention to guests gestures trying to get their attention.

Greedy management. Unlike any other hotel in Zanzibar we have experienced, you have to spend big $$$ to hang out at the pool even though its actually quite small and nothing special.​ Most resorts/hotels in Zanzibar allow restaurant guests to use the pool but not this one. They ask you to spend $20 minimum per person before being allowed in the pool which is a lot for a family with kids. We spend our money elsewhere because of that.EDIT: Not sure what the respons has to do with my rating as no one has ever mentioned using anything for free or if there are discounts on the rooms.

Great location, 20 minutes walk to Paje. The beach just outside of the hotel is calm and not many people. Peaceful stay, relaxing, and beautiful. Will be coming back!

I May say that from all locations what I surch and see also în Zanzibar, Sahari Hotel has a lot to ofer....nice rooms, good food, pool and also te hotel it s right on the beach and the service it s good, so I really recomand this place for all who wants to have nice time and good service în Zanzibar...you can also check it on google advisor they are the best

I loved this hotel. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great. They had water tanks in the hotel which is extremely important in Africa since the tap water isnt drinkable. The ambient makes the hotel very cozy. I loved it there. Would come again!

Good location on the beach, room is a bit small. Dining service is incredibly slow and unorganised, a lot of confusion between the servers and how to take orders or maybe a misunderstanding of how the process of service for dinner goes, maybe new servers in training. Saw a few customers leave after sitting for over 30 minutes with no interaction from any staff

Photo and description of the hotel doesn’t match reality. Pool is extremely dirty, no beach towel, limited sun loungers, noice party after midnight.Moreover our room was without water, we found many reviews about this situation before.We got lots of lies like “stuff illness, death, funeral of relatives, never happened before etc” and host asked as to wait more time(days) to fix water. But after one day we left without any compensation for period of our stay.In the end manager canceled our Booking reservation so we could leave a review.Try to avoid this unpleasant place and deceitful personal. Don’t recommend.

Went for food, the ambiance is nice. French fries are over the average, grilled octopus was okay, vegetables no flavour, salad no sauce. Staff refused to give wifi code.Would have expected much more for this price.

Stayed at this hotel for three days. The bathroom in our room had low cold water pressure and not at all hot (even warm) water, so we had to take a shower in a public shower near the pool. This “little inconvenience” (according to the hotel management) ruined our vacation. Dont recommend this hotel

Awful service, rude management. Everything is not cleaned well. Beach towels are hard to get and they were very dirty. Not enough sun loungers.Beach is far from great, a lot of garbage nearby and water is grey (not blue).

We stayed just two weeks back at this lovely resort. It is bang on the beach, very close to Paje. The rooms were spic n span and really welcoming. Even the beds were decorated with flowers etc. - every single day (see photos). All of their staff are very friendly and helpful. There were naturally issues but the fact that these were followed up and sorted out at the earliest goes to show the commitment of the team. Additionally, their pizzas!!!! They make very very delicious woods fired pizzas and are accommodating, even if you request food outside lunch/dinner timings. The ambience is highlighted with their pool (cleaned daily) and the aesthetically made buildings. Clean, well managed and highly recommended.

As a hotel, it is brilliant. Very clean, extremely friendly staff, good food and lovely common areas. However, the beach infront of the hotel is not as clean as many others and its pretty dead, would only recommend to people who just want to keep to themselves. Its a perfect place to stay if you wana spend your day in the busy paje and spend the evenings away in the peace and quiet of Bwejuu

We stayed 4 days at Sahari in mid October. Sahari presents a beautiful spot on the beach of Bwejuu. Garden is well maintained and one may call it an Atrium because of its layout. The hotel building is classy and the architecture gives a traditional colonial impression. The hotel may host guests in ca. 10-15 rooms so it would not get too busy.Staff is superb except typical Zanzibar issues that a few items occasionally missed from orders and have to let them know.The restaurant is outstanding and would recommend visiting them if you wander around, in case it is open for non guests (probably should). There are tables set on the beach and they do not get too windy even for a dinner.Paje is in walking distance on the beach (20-30 min) where one may actually want to swim, unless fancy with seaweeds which is quite popular in Bwejuu in general. Nevertheless it is nice stroll between the two villages.The hotel hosts a friendly monkey that we enjoyed playing and feeding him.Unfortunately we could not have a proper sleep overnight, because of the bird population around the property that woke us up early mornings on each and every day, no exceptions. This problem hit us again, albeit mildly in other resort in Nungwi, but not in Paje.The bathroom in our room had low water pressure and a leaking basin resulting in small pool of water. Tap water had strange salty taste, which was not present in other resorts on the island.Having had no AC in our standard (?) room, could have been easily ignored with letting in some breeze in the night through the balcony door but it did not have a fixed mosquito net, only around the bed.The room provided with safe which the staff could not present for us functioning during our stay. Nevertheless our valuables were intact wherever we left them in the room.I would not visit them again.

I was in June at Shari Zanzibar . The Lodge is amazing place . i was treated by a proffiesional hotelier . The Service was excellant , the food was very tasty , well presentable .The Room is well furnished and filled with Mini Bar. The Linen of the bed is very attarctive .the view of the Room in every corner coverd by Indian Ocean. The Ocen Sound was Bubbling in my ear.The Staff & General Manager are showed me a real Hospitality service. it is a 5 Star Lodge .I recomand this place to every one who wanted to come and Enjoy in Paje .

We had a wonderful time at Sahari Zanzibar.We postponed our return flight several times to be able to stay a bit longer. The rooms are good and comfortable. Also the breakfast is very good, with a lot of choice. I enjoyed the moments with a very tasteful cappuccino. The staff is super nice and service oriented, and that goes for everybody, cleaners, security, restaurant staff, reception, manager. It is an amazing and relaxed place to be with a good atmosphere. We will definitely come back!

Personnel at the top, friendly. The day we left they even provided a tray takeaway while we were gone into the night. Quality food, hygiene and cleanliness are impeccable. The private beach is just beautiful especially since they offer many activities. Very nice experience 😊

The hotel itself is good for those who love relaxation, peace and quiet. He is more of a family type. The food is delicious, the restaurant is good and the cleaning is ok too. If several catsYou dont buy in the ocean, it goes far, and when it comes, the autumn is warm, dirty and shallow here. There are more locals than tourists on the beach.

Quite a lovely, well-kept hotel right on the beach in Bwejuu. The swimming pool is a nice addition, especially since the water in the assessment next to it often runs off, and after high tide it is not perfect as in other parts of the island.Very helpful and friendly service.We only ate breakfast from the restaurant (a few choices based on eggs), other options rather expensive, especially beer which is half as cheap elsewhere.The rooms could be a little brighter and the water pressure in the taps higher. The rest was unqualified.

We spent a total of 5 weeks at the Sahari Resort with a group of 9 people and we spent an unforgettable vacation. The pool is mega cool, seldom seen such a brilliant pool! The children as well as we enjoyed carefree hours or days in the chilled lounge. There was always a waiter nearby who read our wishes from our eyes. Ezra, Hamoud, Dullar and many other nice service staff always had a big smile and a good saying ready. The food was surprisingly good for us, we were in no way prepared for such an excellent Italian meal. The rooms are very clean and every day we were surprised with artistically made towel figures. The manager Guisseppe was always there with full commitment and was always at our side with advice and action. A really nice guy! Over time we also got to know the owners of the resort, who exuded serenity and friendliness. The beach with its powerful nature has cast a spell on us all and we experienced wonderful, unforgettable hours with the locals. The warmth of the islanders was a very great gift for us. We can say with conviction that it was certainly one of the most beautiful family vacations we have ever experienced. We will definitely be back!

Small structure on the beach of bwejuu, not far from the most famous Paje. few services offered, but beautiful atmosphere, spacious and clean rooms, hot water always present, excellent breakfast and equally excellent dinner. I wanted to challenge them with a pizza that, to my surprise, had nothing to envy to those offered by the best Roman pizzerias. a wonderful experience, how wonderful the whole island and its inhabitants are. the 4 stars are due to the lack of organized activities which, for someone, could be a problem. for my part, I consider it a further point in favor.
