Visited this farm with an excellent english speaking guide who had a great knowledge about all the spices and plants, including history, use - there was not a question he could not answer to. At the end of the tour you can taste some fruits freshly picked from the farm. The best pineapple and papaya I have ever tasted!
It’s all about tipping, the spice farm is messy and full of junk.
The spice farm is good and the guid are good also the food was delicious and of cooking class are fantastic 🤝
Went to this spice farm during our stay in Zanzibar. Our guide was very informative and it was a pleasure to see how each and every spice and fruit you can think of is grown!Do bring some change for tipping all the hosts aswell, we had regretted not bringing enough cash with us. Other than that, this tour is a must for any foodies out there :)
Guides there pretend they know everything. They like to compare with other countries about spice or language which is completely unnecessary. They only see money from the visitors. They don’t have enough knowledge but pretend they know, even correct visitors who knows more.
Superduper spice farm. Greatly recommended if you want an educational and fun tour with lots of explanations by experienced guides. The local lunch is mouthwatering!
Beautiful local experience. Very knowledgeable tour guides and amazing selection of fruit, spice and perfumes
Very nice farm, friendly people and delicious spices & fruits!
Too commercial, nothing but money from our tour guide’s eyes.
Touristic, but nice to see all the kind of spices in real.
It is a good place to visit
Entrance free?
Fantastic place to visit
Jambo spice farm Zanzibar
Spicy
Great experience with a guide who introduced us to over 30 species of spice, fruit, medicinal plants with tastings throughout the tour and at the end a real feast. Farmers who offer their own local production as the visit progresses.Nothing to do with the team of rabateurs who 2 firm before wanted to make us pay before getting out of the car.
In addition to the cash, at the beginning they try to force purchases from them 3 times and everyone expects a tip. (3 people with us) It might be better to visit one of the many smaller spice farms in the area.
Excellent experience. Very nice guide who speaks French very well. Very welcoming people. We are delighted. They take the time to explain everything. Always smiling and we never felt harassed to buy products. We paid 20,000 shilling per person, like everywhere.
Good guide had explained everything in German. In the end, its always about the money. Spices 5 stars. Since it is ultimately all about the money 1 star. Spices can be bought cheaper in Stone Town.
Nice to do, but regrettable from extorting into tips. I have definitely tipped 10 people. Not serious!
A wonderful, interesting place.
Something unusual and phenomenal
