Mussa Abasi village spice farm kisongoni, thanks for the new knowledge on how most spices grow! We knew a lot, but even more became an absolute discovery for us! During the tour, we tasted a lot of spices and fruits, after which we were also treated to various fruits. It was delicious! When you are planning to visit the spice farm, take sweets and treats for the children, there are a lot of them, they will be grateful to you!Special thanks to Saka, his work is very difficult, but very necessary! At the end, you can buy home and for gifts a lot of different spices grown on this farm!

He spent with us really long time, we could taste everything including fresh coconut and plenty of mangos. Thanks and keep my fingers crossed there is still done business in such a friendly way.

We had a great time at this small village owned farm and were amazed how many different types of spices and fruits can be found on this relatively small farm. Saka is a brillant tour guide that not only coordinated the pickup at our hotel (I just needed to contact him using the WhatsApp number on their homepage) but that professionally and with a great sense of humor explained all the different types of spices and fruits. We could taste plenty of fruits at the end of the tour and did purchase spices out of a huge variety and at very fair prices. A must do if on Zanzibar. At the end Saka joined us on traditional local dinner (Ugali) in the Mussa Abasi village center - truly unforgettable! THANKS Saka!

Loved everything about this farm. Yasmin(hope I don’t misspell the name) is a wonderful guide, pleasant and smart. I enjoyed every minute of our excursion. In the end we were treated with tropical fruits and drank coconut water. I bought spices for me and family. I recommend to go here instead of touristic farms where agents bring you. This farm is made with heart and soul♥️P.S. they have a monkey) my husband was happy;)

The spice tour with Mohammed was awesome and one of our highlights in Zanzibar! Mohammed is very kind and funny and showed us all kinds of plants. He is very knowledgeable and explained us how the plants are cultivated and used as spices, fruites, vegetables, medicine, and perfumes. A highlight was also to see how a friend of his climed the palm tree to get some fresh coconuts for us - amazing! Mohammed kindly invited us to smell and taste all plants! We can truely warmly recommend this spice warm! Also the prices at the spice shop at the end of the tour are very fair! Many thanks again to Mohammed and his friends at the farm for this beautiful experience!

More a garden than a farm, its a remarkably interesting visit. You would never imagine where all those spices come from! You will learn it there. Saka is a good and funny guide. If you are afraid of heights, dont watch when a young boy fetches a coconut 10m. above the ground for you.Can be reached by scooter from Nungwi.

What an amazing experience! Jasmin gave us a marvellous tour and they all did so much effort making sure we had a good time.We sent them a whatsapp the day before, asking if we could come, they reacted right away. We booked it ouselves, so no tour operator involved, which made it a private tour. They offer a lot of spices you can buy. They didnt push for a tip or anything (which I read other spice farms do). We were happy to buy some of their delicious spices and give them a tip.Definitely worth a visit!

Small authentic spice farm. Very interesting visit. Our guide Saka was amazing, we tested everything, tasted everything. He made us a little basket of palm leaves and filled it with exotic fruits and spices that he collected in front of us. And cut us a fresh coconut again to drink .. and to eat! Before leaving he still offered us wreaths made of palm leaves! I recommend this visit which is certainly much more authentic than the tours organized by the agencies.

Thanks for the many impressions and the nice conversation. We had a great time. Lots of fruit, herbs and spices grow here in the immediate vicinity. Not only fascinating to see how these grow, but also touching, smelling and tasting them directly was an experience. With a lot of patience and commitment, Saka guided us through nature and explained everything. A wonderful gem worth visiting. PS.: We hope that the monkey on the leash will find his way back to his family in the forest.
