Reasonable priced beer at the beach front but the chicken kabab was only eatable, at best. No spices or nothing. Would try this place again but with different dish.

Their service is very slow. Took more than an hour to get our dinner served. When our bill came it had extra charges because they have two menus, a black one which has higher prices and a white one. There’s extra attention from one of the staff serving white people and versus black. We actually heard him refer to a white man as sir. We just want equality in service irregardless of the skin color. Not racism in our own continent 👀

Perfect spot to watch the sunset in nungwi. I loved my seafood chapati. The drinks and the music are good. I tried the pink sunset cocktail I wouldnt recommend it but thats just my taste. You can catch your sunset cruise just in front of this bar

Very very unhappy!I actually ordered a curry with calarmari octupus and prawns (for the Prawns i had to pay 10.000 TZH more). But there was no octupus at all and only 3 small prawns and very few calamari. When i asked the Chef to put in more, he was very unwelcoming and nothing happend. I had to pay the higher price even though there was nothing in my curry. I was really dissapointed. I couldnt recomend this Restaurant!!!!

It was a horrible expirience. We waited 45 mins just for drinks. Next 2 hours for main dish. The food was awful, instead of fish they bring us chicken, beef was corrupt and others was just not done yet. In the end some of their security massais encircle us and won’t let us leave. DEFINITELY DISSUADE

2nd worst restaurant we have been on while staying in zanzibar. While the food was not bad, but it was not good either. The waiters were so slow that if they slowed down a bit more they would fall asleep while standing.

If you want a wonderful view of the sunset and delicious traditional food like ugali, kuku paka or international cuisine, you must go to Mangis. Reasonably priced yet delicious, we really enjoyed the pepper mushroom steak. I was so impressed with my meal, I had to go congratulate Lina and her team. Will be going again!

I came in for a fresh juice at sunset, stayed for dinner and came in again for lunch 😊 It’s a simple, laid-back beach-side restaurant but fresh juices were great and my seafood meals as well! Absolutely no regrets for a good price 😊

Without going into details, I can simply say this was the worst dinner and experience we have had in Zanzibar. First, the waitress forgot to take our order and though she was very nice and apologized, we waited 1h30 for half the food (two of the ordered four dishes). 20 minutes later, my wife and youngest boy had their dinner. At that time I was done with mine.Food was from simply poor to average. The meat had most likely been grilled for the 1h30 that we waited. It was hard, dry as sand and without much taste. My fish in curry was ok but nothing else than a plain meal.One star for the fantastic view and location sitting in the sand. Without the loong wait, I might have given another star.I believe this is my first 1star rating.

After reading a lot of positive reviews here, we decided to go to Mangis for diner.First, it took a really long time for the food to arrive. When it finally arrived, they mixed up our table with another table, and apparently it was very difficult to sort this out.Then the food, we had two different chicken dishes, which were just fine and deserve 4 stars. But we also had two beef dishes, in which the beef was as tastless as carton. Finally, one of us had calamari, which was promised to be fried calamari, but it definitely wasnt.So, even while two of us had a good meal, three of us were quite disappointed with the food. Combine this with the sloppy mix-up and long waiting time, and two stars it is.

Good food to taste. But very expensive and extremely small gates. I ordered chicken with rice. And or chicken litter if there were 50 grams of chicken with a sauce rice was somewhere at 150 grams. and I paid 18,000 tsz, that is 8 dollars. in fact, it is so everywhere in nungwi the very expensive food and very small portions.

I ate here twice. Once I had the fried octopus which was great. The second time I had the seafood pizza which was terrible. They actually put canned tuna on pizza and called it seafood pizza.

Decent food but takes so much time before you get anything done...have a seat, get menu in 5 mins, 15 mins untill you order, at least 1 hour for food, another 30 mins before you get the bill and 10 more minutes to get change....

We had lunch in this place. The food wasnt good. Calamari werent fresh and Nungwi octopus not well cooked. In the end, one of the waiter come and call me from the beach because for the manager I have paid 10000 S (4€} less than what on the bill. Obviously not true.Maybe a bad experience... I HOPE SO.

Nice environment with typical meny that will keep everybody satisfied. In case a lot of people are sitting but are not served yet, prepare yourselves for delay of orders... meaning you get plenty of time to enjoy a safari beer! Located in the main beach of Nungwi. Also during dinner they add tables on the beach.

Food, drinks and atmosphere good! What turned me down was they are still using plastic straws in drinks and plastic cups for water, while there are many environment friendly alternatives out there.

Rude attitude of the staff. We bought 3 beers, they didn’t have change for 5 thousand, they said to bring the bottles as soon as we finish drinking, and they will give change. The bottles were given to local children, they came for money, and they tell us, no bottles, no money. They asked to call the police, as a result, a man came and started telling us that we have to pay for empty bottles. As a result, we were charged another 3,000 for the bottles. After that, we were told that if we apologized that we had given the bottles to the children, and not to them, then we would have received the money back. The food is not tasty. Seafood salad, its shredded cabbage and a couple of pieces of overcooked octopus. Soup more or less. Grilled octopus, its just a parody of it. Not recommended by any means

Simple and unpretentious restaurant, you eat with your feet in the sand. The pace is that of the place, so if you have the chance go to order at 11 to get served at 13.30. Friendly and polite staff. Average food, fish do not know how to cook so I recommend it especially for snacks and lunch breaks at noon.

Nice restaurant on the beach.During the day and evening, you can sit right on the beach (chairs and a table in the sand) or inside on sofas. Yes, they cook for a long time, the order will wait about an hour. But they will bring you fresh, freshly prepared food. Meat and chicken dishes are delicious, adapted for Russians and Europeans. Less meat, more side dish. Alcoholic drinks can be ordered, immediately paid at the bar and collected. The staff are friendly, unobtrusive. They are very happy if you thank or speak in a local (Asanti sana - thank you very much, caribou sana - please). An excellent place for relaxation and contemplation of the evening beach (locals play football and volleyball) and the sunset. Prices are average, there are more expensive restaurants.

Good cuisine, delicious seafood, prices are average, not cheap, but not space. I threw off the stars while waiting for the order. We came for dinner, the restaurant was half full, ordered food and waited ... 1.5 hours! Hour and a half !!! During this time, they managed to drink all the drinks, go to the store, buy chips and have a snack with them.
