Stopped by for dinner. Ordered the fish fillet. Me and my wife ordered the the 2 varieties available on the menu. Food is tasty but portions (fillet) are small..staff is friendly and knowledgeable..seating is on a nice beachfront deck(patio) with nice music and great overall ambience. Great evening highly recommend!

They trying to pretend to be what they’re not. Zero out of ten for this restaurant. We went there with my wife a couples of days ago. And as soon as we try to sit somewhere we notice that the couch are too old for that kind of « standing » if we pay the price of a cocktail on the French Riviera we except a minimum. My wife order a tuna tartare and it was fade. For my part I’m a huge fan of burger. The waitress told me it was top notch.. Well it was the worst burger of the island for me. The meat was really cheap the kind of beef that doesn’t taste beef but more the beef of the canteen when we were children. 30000 tz schilling for a burger I was expecting a bit more.Do yourself a favour and do not go there. For the owner or manager of this place. Stop trying to pretend to be something you’re not because it’s a very good sea view that you have here….

This place is kinda insta famous so we went in with high expectations. The place has the restaurant and bar overlooking the ocean so they have an excellent view .My disappointment came in when it was time to order our cocktails and they didn’t have most of the mixers used to make the cocktails 😣, we ended up eating lunch which wasn’t bad and drinking coconut water 🙄. Overall they could do better but the place is cute

This place was recommended to me as a great spot to see the sunset and it does not disappoint. Unobscured views of the ocean and sunset, but also sitting above the beach where people walk by/chill/play football.Relatively new to the area, and so the place attracts a lot of people.But even at peak hours our food and drinks arrived quickly.I must recommend the Ndimu na Sukari mocktail, and seafood pasta.They also have a beautifully decorated indoor café.

Very basic food. Quite disappointing really. The cocktails were very diluted as well. Not worth the high prices tbh. Nice sunset though; but that can be experienced from many other locations.

We heard about this place for great sunset and food. Great place to watch the sunset and enjoy great cocktails. Sadly we ordered a seafood starter, which ended up being some cheap small fried fishes with a few small prawns. Not really a great mix of seafood and after a long conversation to find out why, I found out they didn’t get fresh seafood that day because of delivery problems. So thankfully we thought to change our seafood paella to something else. It took some talking but in the end the waiters were great and made everything to make it good. In the end we received an amazing desert! The food it self was good but not amazing for the price but the desert is incredible! So just ask what’s fresh and what sea food is available.

Highly disappointed with the food and service. Took longer than usual to get drinks, when they did come, my wine was warm and my guests drink was incorrect. They quickly replaced his drink which was good. We ordered paella which was a bit dry and under seasoned. The Indian pizza was also lacking flavor and had raw vegetables on top. Ive never ordered a pizza with peppers and onions and received raw peppers and onions on top. Our waitress was a bit cold to us in the beginning which I found odd and then she never returned until the another staff member asked her to deliver our bill. Considering theyre associated with the Hyatt and theyre much pricier than the other restaurants in the area, I had much higher expectations.

Its okay. The prices are a little on the high side when accounting for the food quality. But overall the food is good. And so is the view on the balcony.

Amazing place just like most reviewers are saying.. I went there to see if the reviews about this place are true and I might say they are.. You could feel the breeze of Indian ocean, hear the sound of waves, sit on comfortable sofas while enjoying a beautiful Zanzibar night sky.. Just as usual I ordered KUSI which is a BBQ fish fillet and mango salad on top of it with French fries as my side dish.. I might say I enjoyed the meal a lot.. The mango salad was everything.. Well to pair it up I choose MAFIA ISLAND gelato which had vanilla and mango ice cream as my dessert.. Man it was sweet.. One of the kind.. It was my first time mixing mango ice cream but it wont be my last.. The prices are a bit high it will be equalised by the calm environment and their charming staff.. It also has a bar for drinkers and I saw a cafe which had cakes and smell of coffee on my way out.. I highly recommend this place for stone towners it wont disappoint you..

Beautiful view, Horrible customer service. Our hostess had a table cleaned for us. That was the extent of good service. The table wasnt set. We both ordered a local dish they came back with one serving, they said they ran out. We had the waitress check before we ordered, she went to the chef to check she told us yes they had the dish it would be right out. The server brought the wrong food to our table sat it in front of us we has the discussion that it was not our order. He took the food and gave it to the next table it was their order. He told us the only had enough for one order and wanted to give us calimari. I explained to him I could not have the dish he was offering he seemed offended. The hostess offered the same dish and was equally offended when again we explained I could not ingest that dish. Apparently it was the only replacement dish they could offer. It wasnt that I didnt want what they were offering, I explained to them I couldnt eat what they were offering. Huge difference. There were a comedy of errors at a place we thought was highly rated. The drink was good, the appetizer I had was not pleasing at all.

Terrible food. Salad was nice, fish and seafood was just disgusting. After I left there I knew this is not over yet. The following 2 days I spent sick with food poisoning. The waitress was nice, the place is good as well. Just do not eat there.

Nice view of the beach but terrible food and not great service. We were the only customers and it took over 10 minutes for them to bring 1 beer. Seafood pizza was ok, and chicken wings were nice but they were cold. Chicken quesadilla had way too much pepper in and the chicken was dripping with some bright orange oil which has since given me a dodgy stomach would not recommend. Passionfruit juice was very nice and toilets were very clean.

Staff were super friendly & attentive. Food was available fast (unusual for Tanzania) and was delicious. View was amazing, and relatively good WiFi is available. Was probably a little bit expensive. Hearing the manager lady getting angry at the staff wasn’t nice.

High quality restaurant with delicious food and qualified staff. Our waiters name was Issa, he accepted us without a reservation for the evening. Urojo soup was delicious, Im very glad we ordered it.

The two stars are because the place is beautiful with an amazing view. The food however was disappointing. I had a seafood platter that was not fresh! Lobster was off and the calamari was hard. The people seated next to me were also complaining that their food is off. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.

The service was extremely poor and the waitress outright rude. We eventually left, as she never came back to take our drinks or food order. There was nothing on the menu that looked appetizing in any way, and the drinks were overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area.

Great music, nice ambiance, good food. The service is a bit disorganized, but everyone was very nice.

This was one of my favorite places in Stone Town. They serve delicious food in a well decorated and curated atmosphere. I didnt have any cocktails but I can tell from their drinks that they make good ones. The payeya was surprisingly good. A great place to watch the sunset.

We had a great dinner at the beach house. We had the lobster pasta as well as the paella. The paella was for sure the highlight and the chef has done an amazing dish. The paella could compete with any 5 star restaurant in Spain that prepares paella!

The last was the best as I said they thought us the Zanzibar song mambo mambo, hakunamatata...... Its a place I can recommend anyone to go to

Perfect to be fair. Veranda 👌🏼, interior inside classy as anything! The Tanzanian curry was unreal. Quesadillas really good sunk down with a few Moscow mules which were made quite nice (which is rare). Views perfect. Not too expensive (comparing to Western prices) would DEFINITELY go again! Bit of a sun trap so take a sweat band 😅

This place is the best place to be, when you are out on a date, or feel like getting a view of the sea, The breeze is relaxing, I personally felt its best to go a little late , at 5pm, You would like it more when the heat is down, I have tried almost all things on their food menu, Its amazing!! The chef is Amazing, staff are very polite and humble, I really loved their Kuku wa Kupakait is an excellent meal choice and never failed to amaze me, Sometimes in the evenings the place may get full, you may consider doing a reservation!!, The washrooms are Clean and smell good ( Great Hygiene). The Askaris ( Watchmen) are keen to advice on the parking if you do come with your car and maintain safety. Definitely a place to go!!!!

Compared to the general atmosphere in the island this place is very upscale with a very helpful staff, having an early dinner on the veranda watching the breathtaking sunset is absolutely phenomenal.Somewhat more expensive than most, but for sure worth it 👌

Fab sundowners and dinner by the ocean. Ask for gin menu which has mindblowing variety! Samaki spaghetti was delicious, just lacking parmigano. Friend had delicious paella. A place not to miss in the Stone Town if you love ocean, gin and foof

Food was not bad. I enjoyed the fish but I’ve had better Paella else where. My favorite part about this restaurant was the seating and the view. They also take visa, which has been hard to come by during my travels in East Africa.

Great place to be. I guess it is a place that many tourists enjoy because it is a lot different from the local places Ive seen. Its beautiful inside but you sure want to enjoy the terrace. The prices are fair Id say. I had a beef burger which was good.Only thing Id love to see improved: they have a very clean and spacious restroom but only one toilet stall. Sounds stupid to say that but I think that it would be a good thing to make it two for the many people visiting it for sunset.Anyways: visit it. Enjoy a Kilimanjaro beer and relax.

My wife and me enjoyed the dinner here very much! The restaurant belongs to the Park Hyatt around the corner and is perfectly managed by Stefan, the Austrian manager and an Italian cook. Of course we also want to mention Ibrahim who did a perfect job waiting this evening! The food is very good and offers an big variety of typical dishes. Also you have a wonderful view over the ocean. Total recommendation!!!

A lunch spot recommended for the view more than the food, good service.

It used to be a great place but unfortunately the quality and service has dropped significantly over the passed year.The staff are mostly the problem. Not interested to work it seems. It can take up to 10mins to get a menu and even an hour or longer to get your meal. I ordered just a dessert and it took 2 hours. I kept asking and they said it is on its way. Luckily I wasnt in a rush to eat and was just enjoying chilling in front of the sea. But this happened several times that I have visited.The last time I had to personally go to he Chef and inform him that we were in a rush so if he could make the food faster. And he did! The food is still good (although slightly dropping in standard) but extremely over priced! But that is the norm in Zanzibar.Beach House has great G&Ts though!

Very mixed review of the Beach House...Amazing food and accommodates for certain dietary requirements. However the service was utterly terrible. Perhaps we hit at peak time but a restaurant of this standard should be able to cope and most of the staff weren’t very friendly at all. Setting of the restaurant is perfect for sunset

A very busy and popular place, smartly decorated in a minimal environment with just enough beautiful things to grab your attention. All done in white following the traditional Arabic influence - like Morocco. It leads to offering a relaxing place to just chill, admire the views of the sea and always memorable sunsets. The staff, especially the amazing lady who usually greets you at the entrance, is always willing to chat with you and make you feel comfortable.

Property has tasteful decor and the island vibe at the restaurant makes it look fresh. The Hibiscus Vodka drink did not disappoint. Makes you feel like you’re in Zanzibar. For dinner, I had the seafood paella. It was flavorful and had fresh seafood in it. Was cooked very well and dis not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly. Even the manager came personally to ask how the food and setting was. It is right next to 6* but has better view, drinks, food, and even prices!

During our trip to Stone Town, we were looking for some nice place to eat a lunch. We picked Beach House. The restaurant is located outside the main tourist routes but its really worth to visit. Inside the building there is a shop with some cosmetics and spices. Tables are located on terrace with ocean view.Beach House has many cuisines inside the menu: African, Italian, Indian, SeaFood etc.We ordered two pizzas: Indian and Zanzibar. It was delicious! Zanzibar pizza was served with cheese, egg and something else. As for desserts we took ice creams. Everything was tasty and very delicious.Cards payment allowed. Toilet in very good quality, free for customers.I definitely recommend this place.

View is amazing, Food only middle Class. Service Good. We hast traditional chicken food weich was only a chicken with a Bit of rice. Oversalted salads (both: Beach House Salad and Tropical were Too salty). My Fish was welk grilled but sauce and surface of fish did Not taste very well. Overall we hast a Good evening with a nice View nur probably there are netter Places where To eat.

We went to this place for our two events, that was awards night and after party. The place is so nice, nice view, its very Classic place that someone must feel the value of it. The service provided is good and the food delivered on time. This is what i like mostly when i go to a restaurant, quickly deliver.

We were in Zanzibar for 3 days and stopped here 2 times! Once to have a drink and the second time for a light lunch. The view is amazing and there are tables with chairs and couches to select from. The food selection was very small but were there at 3 pm so I assume they have a bigger menu for dinner. Great place to kick back and relax.

I would like to say that I really enjoyed the great vibe at the Beach House yesterday. It was lively, the music was good, the scene was absolutely beautiful and of course, the service and staff were great.The desserts were really good, the place is classy and seems to be well organised. Overall, it is one of the best places in Zanzibar and probably among the best staff I have seen.Well done!! :)
