The best local bar, just in the middle of town.It is a hidden gem, but easy to find. End of the main road going in to town, Kenyatta road. Pass the overpriced Stone town café and on the left corner you will find Sunrise bar. No happy hour, prices are always happy. Coca Cola 1.000 Tsh, beer 4.000Tsh. Little Konyagi 6.000.

Excellent service, cheapest beer in town

Its not bad. The staff is fast. But the main reason why I went there was that I read here on Google that there are cheap prices for alcohol. Unfortunately its not. When I was there first time I paid 5.000 tzs for one beer Kilimanzaro. When I was there second time I asked for sure how much is Serengeti beer because it was the only beer cold there and the lady told me quietly 5000 tzs.. After 10 minutes some guys from Europe came and they sat down at the table next to me and they were told that Serengeti is 6.000 tzs! So there are not fix prices! Plus the prices are already same like everywhere else even beautiful beach restaurants. No reason to come here.

Best place for a relax beer or two in Stone Town

Really dingy place which probably survives on the guys repeatedly coming back for another beer and just plain stupid tourists like ourselves. We ordered tuna steaks which tasted weird, but were luckily pretty well done (almost leathery dry). I am happy we didnt get sick here. Dont come here for anything else than drinks, and stay outside. The roof is sagging badly inside and is partially supported by a huge tree trunk which theyve used as a supporting column, but is now blocking a door/passage.

It is one of the few places where you can get beer for a reasonable price and some small dishes to eat. People are generally friendly. But the service is rather slow. I wouldnt recommend the toilet. It is a squad toilet with a water bucket next to it. There is neither flush or toilet paper available. And no soap at the washbasin either..

Best place to get some cold beer (4000 TZS) and free WiFi.

We were a group of six people.From the time we placed our order until everybody had his meal more than 1,5 hours passed. 4 dishes were warm at most.The meals were different from what the waiter explained us. The chicken Tikka was dry as the desert and without any spices what so ever.The waiter told us several times that it would only take 5 or 6 or 7 minutes longer, then everybody would have their meal.Dont come here for anything else than beer.

Cheap price for beers around Stone Town...
