This bank is full of fraud...any customer asking for charge back they proceed it despite of submitting all document to them, we believe the money goes to equity bank and not to the actual customer. Because once you start demanding your money back they will say they will refund and they dont do as promised.. avoid this bank at any cost

Its a verry nice bank good enviroment center of the town, the customer care are verry helpfull and also provide quick service and they are sharp.

It was quick to open an account and the only bank that Ive come across with that that doesnt need letter from sheha i.e. letter from your local government office. Also you dont need passport photo as they take one for you there.You also get your bank card right away.There arent many equity ATM machines around though so youd have to use other bank machines to withdraw cash.

For international bank transfers , Equity is the worst ! , they charge allot and service isnt good , everyones got an attitude , some of the funds i was sent through Equity are still missing , Tragic experience , i wouldnt recommend this bank to anyone !

This is the most reliable bank i Zanzibar!!! Easy to open a bank account without complications. You also get an ATM card on the same day. They have online services and you can get your bank statements online and through SMS. Parking might be a bit difficult as its a very busy street and so many cars are around..so you might have to keep that in mind just in case so you dont struggle as i did!

My bank for last 3 years but I got worst experience on Friday afternoon 23rd August 2019. I was travelling hence I sent money from equity bank account mlandege branch to airtel money but I miss last digit number and sent to wrong number.i immediately call equity customer services and explained what happen ...they replied me until Monday as it was Friday so I have to wait until Monday.. I called airtel money whom referred me back to my bank ...am frustrated as the money was 200,000tzsh ...is there no reversal method between the bank and the airtel money? Til now I never got my money back...I will never transfer money from my account to wallet again...poor customers care the caller told me it will take 3 days and if the money has not been withdrawn from the number I wrongly sent..how when I called them immediately to block the transfer as airtel told me to contact my bank.....
